Shonen Jump missing from shelves in my area.
From the Wikipedia entry for Shonen Jump:
"In October 2011, Viz announced that Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha, a weekly digital version of the magazine would be made available to the public beginning on January 30, 2012. Viz also released its final Shonen Jump print publication in March of that year after Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha was released."

I wonder how that's doing for sales. Not everyone has a tablet... or wants to read comics on their computer.

Personally, I stopped my subscription to Shonen Jump because I was getting annoyed at the growing pile of them. A digital version would be much more convenient for me. I may look into it if/when I get a Kindle Fire.

Well, you don't have the printing, shipping, and middleman fees so a digital-only version could do with less subscribers.
I don't buy those anthologies since I get the tankobon volumes anyways. It would just be wasted paper/space, IMO.
Now I'm wondering what manga magazine is sitting in the teen section of my library above the teen DVD section (which contains such teen hits as Ghostbusters and Top Secret! At least the comic book movies are over in the adult section). They might be old Shonen Jumps but I thought I remember the covers changing recently. Now I have to go to the library tomorrow to check.

Thanks!
It's not how many times you get knocked down that count. It's how many times you get up.
I get all my manga Here btw. Huge resource.
I imagine the diminished publishing and distribution costs figure into the decision.

i'm also one of those people who find reading physical comics and books a different experience than reading them as digital files. i do a lot of both, but there are certain aspects that don't translate well to digital.
Still i may try the digital version some time soon. Then i won't have to worry about the useless dead weight* added by whatever Yugi-Oh story is running in the back.
*This is of course only in my somewhat tactless opinion.
Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...
Oops, forgot to report back, yep they are old Jumps at my Library.

I thought about subscribing especially because it launched on my birthday. The only series I would read is probably One Piece though, but I'm not caught up to where the Japanese are. I've only read up to volume 64.
Hello everyone. In the past 2-3 months not a single issue has been on the shelves at any stores I have been to. Anyone else having this issue?
