ive more or less migrated to the titan forums since tony definitely plans to keep the titan network up after the closure

i arrived to that approximately 30 min after you had left so i missed the group photo lol

thanks for the swag as well, im very very happy to have a city of villains t-shirt, honestly once coh is gone it will be one of my most prized possessions due to the memories it will hold

ill certainly miss arcanaville, who i am not ashamed to admit is better at analyzing and stuff than me, i always looked to arcanas posts as guidance because they were accurate 99.9% of the time

this game was just like that, it could be as simple or as complex as you wanted it to be, you could spend hours in mids making the perfect built, or slot however you want and still be pretty effective without the min maxing

i never saw this game as having 1 hill/hurdle/obstacle to overcome, but many, however only the first hurdle was really all that was required to know enough about the game to enjoy it

i was occupied with family and modding borderlands 2 on thanksgiving day i forgot to make a post lol

well said, ive mostly migrated to the titan forums keeping up with future prospects and to continue hanging out with all of the awesome poeple from coh

for me i think it was:

stage 1: depression
stage 2: anger

and thats about it, when i start hating something, theres basically no end to it, ncsoft will not ever see money from me again, regardless if the game can stay alive

ill only continue to be depressed if the games original IP cannot be saved, although then it will just harden the grudge i already have for ncsoft

happy pre thanksgiving (since thanksgiving isnt till thursday lol)

and i know what show shamster was talking about but i dont watch it, so meh lol

i honestly never use the player notes feature lol, never felt like i had to because i always checked poeples globals habitually and i knew most everyone whose global i had recognized lol

early on i had hope that the game would get passed on before the official closing date

since november started though i know that is no longer an option, but ncsoft has already made a very disgruntled customer out of me and every chance i get i will not let them live this down

i refuse to use or support anything owned by ncsoft, and everyone who wants me to recommend something to them the first thing i will say is "not anything from ncsoft"

as far as im concerned, if ncsoft is unwilling to release the IP to someone else to improve upon or continue the game in any way, then ncsoft deserves to fail and go down with the game

im not exactly someone who holds grudges, but ncsoft is killing off something that i consider part of my family which is completely unacceptable and the only way i will be happy is if they either allow the game to return or die themselves

imo i dont know if i could seriously play another MMO

im very very against anything that is run by ncsoft

champions and DCUO are definitely not for me

i dont like WoW or every other gear based f2p grindfest out there


so as of late i have mostly been playing various games from my massive steam list which i have not played yet lol (so far ive beaten borderlands 2 100% till they add more DLC, beaten torchlight 2 both playthroughs, beat the 2nd deathspank game, currently playing an interesting one called towns)

IMO i think the reason they made so much more in Q3 was release of GW2 and laying off about 80+ poeple

i dont think ncsoft will see the full effect of dropping coh until Q4 or even next year

just got done seeing it tonight and i really enjoyed it

good thing that all my computers and cellphone automatically update for this lol

yeah i stopped watching G4 awhile ago partly because it was like 60% cops reruns, and 40% because my tv provider stopped providing us the channel

i wouldnt watch it now anyway because all of the good hosts left

as for lucasfilm and stuff, star wars started going severely downhill when they started that whole retarded animated clone wars tv series, and im not actually suprised that disney is buying it out because its disney quality at this point

i really do hope that they can work something out

best case is ncsoft will decide to release the IP sometime sooner than we would expect so the devs can start a studio on their own

prolly next best would be if the devs just sat down and made their own game from scratch

in any case i hope the devs can find work in some form fairly readily cause i know its a difficult time to be job hunting

speaking in a non MMO perspective, torchlight 2 engineer class (and torchlight 2 in general) is great for amassing an army of pets

all classes get 1 pet which acts as a companion (extra storage, can take items to town to sell,ect)

my engineer character has 5 skills which are pet summons (1 is a heal bot and doesnt do dmg, 1 are spider mines which blow up on contact with baddies, other 3 are pretty much normal dmg pets)

then heres where it gets fun, all classes can use spells, and you can learn spells for summons (summon zombies, summon skeletons, summon skeleton archers, summon nether imps) AND your companion pet can learn these skills as well

giving my companion pet summon zombies and summon skeleton archers it can summon 10 more pets

add those 2 skills plus skeleton and imps and thats 12 more pets (plus skeletons have very long duration with very short cooldown so easy to get like 4-6 up at same time)

at best i can have ~30 pets out at once, and then to make them even more overpowered i have a ton of gear which has boosts for the pets (+hp, +armor, +dmg)

its prolly the absolute closest thing i could find to relate to (or even better than) a mastermind lol

it would prolly be smart to start a discussion for this over on the titan forums since these will no longer be accessible come nov 30

honestly this option has never bothered me lol

i think the only thing that i think could have been done better is the vault storage, it was retarded that the storage was per character and would have been insanely helpful if it had been global

i agree zynga was never a really good company to begin with, all they basically did was FB games

im not doomful, i just would rather find better use of my time than working on something freaking awesome i know is gonna mean jack is about 6 weeks

im still pretty active on the forums here and on the titan forums while im feeling overpowered in borderlands 2 lol

i honestly didnt know there was a 2xp weekend this past weekend

ive been mostly playing borderlands 2 still since that game had a new DLC last week

lately i havent really felt the will to log into the game since it will most likely be gone in a month so anything i work on will go poof anyway
