Wreck It Ralph
just got done seeing it tonight and i really enjoyed it
Saw it on the 2nd(it was my Mothers B-Day, she wanted to she it). I enjoyed it greatly and i guess the villain about halfway when they did a flashback on Turbo.
Going to miss the fun and nice people here at CoH. Feel free to add me on PS3/XBox360
PS3X360: OmniNogard
Currently playing: Mass Effect 3(PS3) Minecraft(X360) Skyrim(X360).
I saw the movie this past Saturday with 2 friends. We all thought it was a pretty good movie

I thought it was a lot of fun, very sweet and endearing. I wasn't expecting so many candy jokes, I think they outnumbered the gamer jokes by the last half of the movie, but it didn't really detract from it. Was kind of hoping it'd be a lil gamery-er, but still loved it to pieces.
And Paperman was <3 <3 <3
I agree -- Wreck-It Ralph is a definite "go see." I'm not a fan of Sarah Silverman, but she was perfectly annoyingly cute in this film.
By the way, I was surprised to see that the voice of the Candy King was done by Alan Tudyk. You may remember him as the pilot from Firefly, or Alpha from Dollhouse. He seems to pop up a lot of different places and has an amazing range as an actor.
LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)

Al Bundy also voiced Mr. Litwack (Litwick?).
Sarah Silverman was actually tolerable in this movie. Normally, I can't stand her, but she was ok here.
I really dug the Paperman short before the main movie.

I have nothing against Alan continuing his live-action acting career, even in movies or TV shows I've never bothered to see. Still it's quite clear he'd have no problem if he decided to become a more full-time voice actor. *shrugs*

I'll agree that it's a "must see" movie. The idea of characters being left homeless when a game shuts down was more depressing than it normally would be, considering current events.

Alan was the best psychopath Alpha on Dollhouse by Josh Whedon. If you never watched it it is on hulu and netflix. PS if you go to Disneyworld, there is a actual Wreck it Ralph game at Disney Quest.
I saw this Saturday night and I was surprised how good it was for a non-Pixar film. Yes Pixar is now literally running Disney's animation group in everything but name only. But it had a surprisingly good, well paced story.
The short Paperman was excellent. And there was a moment in this film that I had a flashback to one scene in The Iron Giant and teared up. Maybe it was because it's root message is that anyone can be a hero, and with this game's passing, that need to intimately play a hero, to feel like a hero, to satisfy that aspect of my personality will be gone forever and that loss rips a hole in my soul.
Still it was a very good movie even if you don't get or catch all the video game references.

I'd have to agree as well. Seeing 'homeless' video game characters was interesting to see and think of.

Very annoyed that Disney - who are having a bit of a scrap with UK distributors over their new short-wait DVD release dates - have stuffed the movie back to February 2013 this side of the pond.
Still, at least all the Twilight fans should have been removed from the place by then and had their glitter hosed off.
Is it time for the dance of joy yet?
So true. I saw it last Saturday and the Twiharders were out in force here in the US. Over half the theaters were showing the last Twilight film, a couple showing Bond, a couple showing Lincoln, one Bollywood film (Jab Tak Hai Jaan), one Argo and Ralph.
Interestingly Cloud Atlas was still showing at this theater, I assume due to contract reasons, but it appeared that the contract didn't require how many times, it was scheduled to be shown once, late, that day.
