What is with the fight club police?
Why don't the frustrated duelists just join forces against the Man, beat him down and then go back to thrashing one another.
Am I missing something?

Alright well yesterday while i was there, everyone but these "Police officers" Left the zone. You guy are a main cause for the reasons zones arent that full as they could be.

When I16 hits, do me a favor. Go to your Options menu. Look for the option that says Arena. Use it. Quit crying when people engage in zone PVP which means, you know, attacking people of the other faction in zone.
this is gr8
@The REAL Chop
My teachers always told me to follow my dreams. To bad they are all Nightmares.
Honestly RPing FC Police is more fun than actually arguing with "spartans".
Also interesting is the fact that last night i saw only 1 FCer in RV and few melee toons in PD trying to duel on arena with FC rules: FC Police is successfull it seems
But why should i have to make a 1 minute + duel into a 10-15+ minute duel bc some people cant be kind enough not to attack me for a minute?

You know coming onto these boards and complaining about being griefed in-game will not help your problem. If you feel that you are being singled out and unfairly harassed in-game. feel free to file an in-game petition on the players in question.
However, keep in mind zone PvP is open forum PvP while Arena is where you are able to host duels.
GL and HF.

Why should I have to get your permission to attack in a zone that was meant to be open with no such restrictions? Because you are to lazy to got to the arena?
Bad news for you, your laziness and selfishness will never be a motivating factor of how or why I pvp. Sorry you thought you were so important only to find out you weren't.
Duel me.
I will work on my sig pic more when I have time.

lolz PvP anymore, Market PvP for fun and profit
"Why can't another forumite and me have a thread for just the two of us?
Why do other people have to post in our thread?
Don't interupt our fight-clubbing thread!"
"Take it to private messaging."
Analogies. What are they good for.

The Arena was designed from combat with individuals and groups in a separate environment from other players.
The PvP Zones were designed for combat between anyone that can attack each other in that zone.
It has nothing to do with "being polite". If you go into a PvP Zone, you should know that anyone that can attack you may very well do so. Don't expect people to hold their fire because you want to use a PvP Zone in a non-standard manner. I think it is more impolite to expect to be able to use a PvP zone in a non-standard manner than it is impolite to use a PvP zone in the manner for which it was designed.
PvP Zones were not created for one-on-one dueling. If you don't like getting attacked by someone else when you are dueling, then take your fighting to the Arena.
Complaining about being attacked in a PvP Zone by players that you don't want to get attacked by is pointless. The point of a PvP Zone is that players can battle one another on one huge map where everyone can participate.
This is a very basic concept. If you can't understand it at this point, then you won't understand it.
If you want to duel "in peace", then go to the Arena.
Characters are free to attack targets that are available in PvP zones and you and whoever else you are dueling with are both available targets to every other player in a PvP zone. It should be no surprise when another player attacks you in a PvP Zone - as that is the entire point of a PvP zone.
"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
I let fiteklubbers be, but these "fiteklub police" threads make me want to review that policy.
Any fiteklubber who doesn't understand that everyone in the zone not interrupting his duel is doing him a substantial favor needs to be reminded that no one cares what you would rather be doing than as-designed, open-zone PvP.
(Additionally, I usually turn off broadcast before zoning in. If you aren't fiteklubbing in the very few places typically associated with it, I will not be stopping first to evaluate whether I have your blessing before sending you to the hospital.)

Additionaly, to all of the people getting raged about the fightclub police:
In the words of Soulja Boy: "I got a question, why they hatin' on me?"
As an outsider looking in:
It doesn't seem right for people to go around and purposely try to ruin other people's fun... just because they are "doin' it wrong."
On the other hand, the "fight clubbers" are being a bit too entitled in that they expect, nay, demand to be left alone in Zone PvP... which makes no sense.
So, if the clubbers would just realize they can and WILL be interrupted and stop QQing about it AND the self-appointed police would just cool it and stop intentially pissing people off, all would be good. But I sense that neither is going to happen. Honestly, I think the "police" have the edge here, as much as I hate to say it.
The aforementioned suspect proved to be unruly, using foul language and a persistence of aggression towards his dueling partner. At this point, Deputy xCHAOSx and myself knew we were being forced to bring the target down. I began with a constraining Web Grenade in hopes of sedating my target, but his aggression only grew as he shrugged off my best attempt at a peaceful encounter. I opened fire with all three of my fire blasts, END REPORT |
A bit off topic, but I find this all quite interesting and amusing.
Many PvPers have traditionally made fun of RPers, yet here we people who are PvPing and are getting more into their roleplaying "Fight Police" then most RPers out there. Having been away from the forums and PvP for almost a year the question I have, and I am quite serious is...
Are the "Fight Police" RPers who have discovered the fun of PvP or are they
PvPers who have discovered the joys of RPing?

I mean, you should see how animated I get on the other side of my keyboard during a close arena duel...
That's not even acting; it's real!
If you MUST duel then hit Warburg or Siren's, find some really tall building and go at it...better yet, Arena. You're going to get attacked when you duel. My advice is, be prepared for that and fight back. That might get you some breathing room.
Sadly, Jupiterian law forbids me from embracing your quasi-medieval exercise.
A pox on you.
