Why does name Vincent Balmont come in mind? Wasn't it some tru warrir pvper from justice who claimed Freedom pvp'ers were bad and got rolled by anyone who knows how to hit 1,2,3?
Epsilon, you probably shouldn't roll a toon there since it is not the first case of stupidity in there.
See the funny thing is it's a big misconception about fc police, all though i have been enjoying a little rp with all this, because rping is something i never did so it's fresh material for me. The fact still remains that most of us that are doing the fc police are still old school pvp'rs and will roll over most of the people that's against us anyway. I have shown it time and time again in the arena, hell silit is married to the arena every time i see him he's camped there, they think for some reason, that because we are silly on here, and that rping is more fun than actually wasting most of these new gen players in the arena, that we won't still smash them in 1v1's.
A little known fact is in i12 and before, and ep can attest to this because he's been around in my triumph days, but i used to be one of the best fclubers on triumph, my bs/reg lost once and only had one tie in like probably 100 fights and that was to that damn power fist i couldn't kill him, and edmondo's ice dom got me. But the difference was, i didn't do it during active zone pvp sessions, i didn't care if you used inspir, temps, accolades, you didn't have to sit in my face and not move, and the key factor is i didn't broadcast about fighting me, to be honest most of my fights was set up by tells, someone may have heard or seen me in action and wanted to test their build against me. I also had a sp/reg i used to arena with. All my villains i used mainly for test server ladder matches, and they have always been based on freedom from day one, freedom was always a good place to practice how to stave off spikes, and you needed that in the ladders.
But then came i13 and actual pvp that made sense stopped, so i tore down my zone fighters and adapted to what was needed to pvp with these new rules, and all our friends and best competition left for freedom or left the game, so i moved my zone heroes to freedom, and even on freedom with all it's population my toons are still recognizable for what they do.
The funny thing is, even though you seem like one of the whiners that got the changes made in the first place, you're probably still bad..------Macskull on Crop_of_shaolin

i don't want my duels being interrupted in zones. It's not much to ask for. I don't interrupt duels myself all the time. Not sure why it's so hard for everyone else.

You simplified it too much. You didn't include a lot of factors i've stated like having to travel, where the duelers are and even things like regular people who do both. Are they going to go to arena where they can only duel? or are they going to go to a pvp zone where they can do both. A lot of people i know enjoy both and stay in a pvp zone for both.
I remember the arena events, and they ended just as i got a good dueler. I only went in one tourny and then never checked back, pretty sure it's gone now.
IMO life is long enough to do everything i want, mostly because i don't want that much. I prefer a 'controlled' envionrment. <-- not sure if i even have to explain that one and i'm asexual.
The game mimics real life, aside from the obvious super powers. Those images of people u see are actually real people. The difference in the game and real life is some people got the advantage, started a government and started inforcing rules. Seeing as i have no control over anyother hero and they have none over me, i cannot inforce anything. There are basically no rules because of that, anything goes because nobody is there to punish you. Instead of acting like rebel, attacking everybody i see whether they like it or not i still abide by most of the laws that would be in affect if one side having power was possible.
If anything this game is a good representation of what civilization was like at first. Of course that only lasted a little while.

I don't like to joke about these kinds of problems because there are people out there that get angry and frustrated at people attacking them.
Simply put, If i want to duel people, i need to go to a PvP zone and stay there. Not only do i hate zoning myself but i've been in a situation where i asked to duel someone, they replied yes and then declined when i mentioned having to go to pocket D. it's so very simple too. This morning i was standing under atlas in RV when a spine/regen came up and asked to duel. 3-4 mins and it was over. That 3-4 mins could have taken 10-15 if we had to go to pocket D. I'm not letting ignorant people control my life; making it harder and dueling more time consuming.

Most. I've said before, Even if some of the best players were born there, or even if some of the best players moved there, it's swarmed with people who cannot PvP well. One thing to mention is someone would build an ego killing noobs day in and day out. So there's nothing wrong with doubting some freedom players, even if they are superior.

again, why does everyone believe that we cement our shoes before we start the duel?
I expect a squishy to kite, that's why i have web nade on most of my toons.
I expect a melee to kite at low health (to a certain extent).
One thing i hate and saw last night as i was doing arena with some people was when someone was low health, they would just run around the entire map until they were full health. I don't see much sense in this.....if i'm kiting because i'm going to lose, i've already lost. Kiting at low health proves they are better then me. The only thing it does is prevent them from getting a recipe, which is bad. I want more of them on the market.
Extreme kiting is like a invincibility button. "oh low health, better run away". Nobody is going to kill you if ur at full speed and jumping around, not 1 person anyway. It basically makes the match a stalemate.
I would rather stay in the area and die then act like a coward and make the match a stalemate.

Yea sorry about that but most people agree. Everyone on my team were making fun of the people who interrupt duels. Actually i wouldn't be surprised if i got most of my opinions from them
and no concerning the stalker. With the combo of offense, defense and caltrops, a stalker has never come close to killing me solo. Actually i've taken 2 good stalkers at once before. I feel so cheap sitting on caltrops and taking away half their health with BU/EC.

wow i can't believe i typed all that, i kinda feel bad if i made everyone read that all. well i'm off to eat or something. BTW, lemme know when a GM will do something about me killing you in a PvP zone. Until then, it's not abuse or an exploit or even being mean, no matter how you want to paint it. All I'm doing is playing within the rules of the game and you simply can't accept that.
EDIT: Rei mentioned Vince - he was actually online yesterday on an Ice/Dark Corruptor. We had some fun farming the 3 or 4 vills in RV, so when they finally managed to kill me after their heavy nuked me at point-blank range, they started talking ****, and commented that "any villain can kill a scrapper." Naturally I challenged Vince to an arena match and he accepted (omg!). Set the rules to the standard (no TS, no heal decay) and he commented on that saying I only turned off heal decay since I was a regen. Go figure he got me into Scourge range exactly once because he spent the entire match spamming Twilight Grasp. After a rather boring 10 minutes, I phased as sudden death started, popped two greens, unphased, and hit him with Impale. Of course it was a cheap kill, but it made me chuckle.

Entering a PvP zone and expecting other players to leave you be to fiteclub, or get badges, or run missions or whatever is ridiculous. It's like bathing in fish guts, jumping into the shark tank and expecting to be left in peace while you comb the sand for shells.
You can cry and moan about it all you want, but nobody's going to leave you alone. If you want a private match, stick to the arena.

If you were good before I13, you're still good now. If you weren't good before I13, you probably get an open-zone kill here and there and have a huge head because of it (yes I'm talking to you). You feel the need to have everything handed to you and feel that the only ruleset that should be respected is your own, and you get raged and come post on the forums when people break those rules, which in turn on makes those of us who can PvP laugh at you even more. Worse still, you constantly compare PvP in this game to genocide or other illegal activities, which makes me wonder why you haven't sought professional help yet.
Seriously, if you lose in a no-insp duel on an SS/Fire with Aid Self against a Blaster with no Hibernate or Phase, you are really terrible and what you have to say has zero weight with the rest of us. Sorry.

Also, in generall i don't claim i am better than other person if i killed that person in chaos of pvp zone. Usually all i say in there is: "FC POLICE ASSEMBLE!!!" or "Less QQ more pew pew plz". However if i beat you on arena mutiple times in duels i could claim it. But again i usually don't brag about my wins. If you played on Freedom you would know it.

I know it is quite creepy and annoying but i am one of this pre i13 pvpers who is very very bored in this game now :/

Main reason i love pvp in this game (or rather loved) because it was fast phased and required certain amount of skills, knowledge etc from the player. FC indeed requires some skills from you but not as much as on arena duel or 8v8.
While in zones/arena you use your abilities to react, adapt, use enviroment like mobs, building (evading), certain power and tactics, in FC all you do is for most part fighting on lil square with rules that favorable melee ATs a lot and punching 1,2,3 combined with heals. Sadly most MMORPG gonna be like this in the future because people like easy mode.
Easy mode won't make you good, only when you face good challenge you can improve.

if/when more people leave it will be because of the lack of diversity in whats viable leading to boredom. you can only play sonic/ psi/ mind/ toons for so long...
