I imagine the odds are good that every variation of basic office/warehouse/cave is counted in that 1000. I'm suspicious of how much variety that number truly includes.

what would be nice is to here whether anything "else" is coming with issue 14..

Here's a hint. If they aren't promoting other features for Issue 14, there probably aren't any besides the usual minor power tweaks and QoL features, none of which are worth promoting, or would be covered by news sites.

If you expect I14 to have anything beyond the MA and the usual minor fixes, maybe a few new costume parts, you're most likely setting yourself up for disappointment.

That Cap Dynamic acctualy would chase me away not suck me in...teeeeerrible commercial or what ever it is...makes the game feel like its for toddlers !

And CLEARLY haven't been paying attention, as they've been hinting for almost a month now that there WOULDN'T be anything else in Issue 14.

I thought everyone and their mother had figured that out by now.

Not as if its very secret. Especially after the massive amount of press issue 14 has been getting.

BaB flat out said at one point that there wasn't anything much besides the MA, and that he expected some people to complain that the issue was "so small" because so much of the MA is under-the-hood stuff users can't see.

I really, really think you should link to the various pre-order options for the Architect Edition box on Amazon.com, etc., in your official posts. People are not seeing it since it's buried only in the interviews and articles, which that giant list turns a lot of people off. "I have to read ALL OF THAT?"
(Hey, you know it's true, people come into a 10-post thread and say, "I haven't read the whole thing, but I'm going to say my piece anyway." Heck, sometimes they don't even SAY that! That's a LOT of articles to paw through for the lazy folks.)

I say positive.

We do have some creative people playing this game. (Go check out the pics of bases in the base forum if you don't believe it)

A lot of those creative people will be willing to spend hours upon hours working on this thing. Don't be surprised if there are some amazing missions as a result. And the best part is that there should be something for everyone. If you like "wordy walls of text"...I'll bet you get it. If you like "get to the point and let me kill something"...I'll bet you get that too.

I can't wait.

Well, at least this time they're showing the game (the character builder and a hint of the MA). Still not quite my thing, but as FleetingWhisper mentioned, this seems geared more toward the RvB crowd.

NOT so fast, my fine furry friend...

It seems that after all the denial about Arch Nemeses... we seem to be getting them!

So perhaps we will find there is more than (currently) meets the eye.

I like to live by 'expect nothing, hope for something, and be happily surprised' by any extras. The MA is adding value to both devs and players, so I'm excited to find whatever we get.

I just thought it meant that you can make your own arch nemesis if you want by tweaking with the MA and not a separate feature by any means.

Captain Dynamic is the coolest faux comic book hero of all times. I hope he gets his own tv show or book or movie out of this.

Quick question... I know they said we are getting access to all maps (even if some are unlockable).. but can we use say.. the lobby and upper floor of zone hospitals? I have a couple ideas for those locales...

It's not the same, but I assume we will have access to the Asylum map. You may be able to tell your story that way.

There's a map suggestion thread somewhere around here.

Hmm, I have plans for that map too, but I was really hoping to have players go visit a doc in the hospital and have something really nasty happen

Once open starts I'll see what I can adapt..

And is the same stuff the devs have been working with. From what I've gotten over the years, the devs don't have a map editor program, as proven by the maps (especially that warehouse room with the side area) that used to always have the "veil of obscuring" over some of the hall connections.

Good chance is, when they get a good easy-to-use map editor, we will too, now.

I read in one of the MA preiview reports that they are playing with the idea of an improved base editor to produce your own maps but certainly not at launch.
