Trying CO as well now. It's an ok CoX fix, but yes, the content and dialogue is goofy and cringe worthy. Gameplay is acceptable, still not sure if it will be sub worthy or not.

I'm usually the stoic type because I don't trust what my emotions will do to me.

Heck, I'm pretty sure I already permanently ruined his drivetrain improvement plans. And I have no idea where he lives nor what a drivetrain is.
  7. Any chance this can also be posted at Titan, in case the lights go out here?
  8. I'm finding myself drawn more to indie games lately. Paying 60 bucks for a game that might disappoint is too much of a gamble. Indie games are not only cheaper, but seem to leave a bigger mark in me.

When it comes to big games, I wait for years before getting those. Just recently got Elder Scrolls IV when it was on sale.
  9. Did these a while ago. Not exctly #saveCoH relevant, but figured I'd share:

  10. So what's the policy on this? Send as much as we can or is it like petitions where it's more 'legit' to send one per person?

That's the problem with change.org and online petitions, they are so easy to dupe, that they carry less weight. It also doesn't help that the moment you sign one petition change.org throws at you like 5 'just one click here to sign this other one.'

They still carry some weight, though. The ratio just works differently.

I'm not sure about the math, but I'm sure someone somewhere has calculated how it works. Say 1000 internet signatures equals 400 paper ones, or something.

    Regardless, 10k is impressive.
  12. The first two characters I rolled were a Katana/SR scrapper and an Empathy/Radiation defender. The scrapper dressed in black with red/gold accents the empath in light with light blue stars.

I always saw them as two sides of the same persona. The scrapper was not darkity dark nor a vigilante. He was just the kind of person willing to be efficient at the expense of leaving feelings (his and everyone's) outside of it. The empath was more concerned with coming to solutions that benefited everyone and hurt no one.

I've always have conflicting issues with emotions. On one side I hate them and try my best to suppress them or control them. I don't like what they do to me and am very afraid of what they could do if allowed free reign. On the other, I am too concerned about how other people are feeling and go out of my way to make sure they are ok or cheer them up.

Though I never roleplayed or developed them as fictional characters, each of these characters in a way took in each of these facets of myself in.
  13. Just a reminder to those that use Steam, a while back some folks made 'The Nemesis Plot' group. Haven't really been doing much that I've noticed, but we can change that with our new spare time. It's an invite only group, so let us know if you want in.

My handle there is the same as here, so feel free to add me to friends list.

    Driven to drink

I'm probably lucky. Whenever I'm not 100% (which is 100% of the time) I really let myself go. Not dangerous self destructive behavior, but bad eating habits, not sleeping, not working, playing too much, very dark negative thoughts, etc. When I'm really low it of course gets worse.

In the past I've always lived alone, being more of a recluse than anything. It kept me safe and kept the world safe from my 'crazy.' For the last three years I've been living with my girlfriend, which has forced me to behave in a more "normal" manner. For better and for worse. As much negative press straightjackets get, they do stop people form poking their eye out with a fork.

Had I been still living solo, I would have ordered 5 pizzas and spent a couple hundred dollars on Steam games by now in an attempt to comfort myself.
  15. Avoiding all the spoiler filled discussions from people who see things the opening night. Not even a day in and those threads were huge and tempting.
  16. Thanks for all the random topics. This place has been my go to place to everything nerdy since I began playing this game.

I don't really have the energy or the interest to go through all those sites in search for interesting things, so it was nice to have one place where it would all come together.

On a related note, anyone knows of a similar random nerd/geek community I can go to and lurk?
  17. I got two yearly subscriptions I won't be paying for. I could help with that.

But of course, I'd need to see how viable the enterprise is before anything.
  18. I got one code for each account as of 7:31 California time. So weee!!! From the middle of the last post. Apparently everyone went from the bottom up as well.
  19. I'm generally not bothered by many critters. Not a fan and keep my distance, but no recoil or anything.

But there's a quote that goes "I against my brother, my brothers and I against my cousins, then my cousins and I against strangers". So when I saw that spider taking down a snake much bigger than it was, my reaction was vertebrate versus invertebrates.

    So spiders,

    Cold or Force?

Ice is getting Frigid Protection in i24 and people in the know are saying that high resistance synergizes really well with Absorb mechanic. Going Force for all that resistance could come in handy if you already have a decent amount of defense to back it up.
  21. I don't know much about films, but I wonder how many of these deleted scenes were left on the editing floor and how many were more character exercises for the actors/directors/crew.

My girlfriend directs plays and one thing she does is have her actors act out a scene not in the play to help the actors shape their character's backstory and motivation. For example, in one play about a relationship's last day, she had them roleplay the day they met and some dates. She finds it helps both the actors and the director.

I can totally see the Cap'n scene serving this role. Though yes, that's a lot of production money thrown at throwaway scenes.
  22. The Cap'n one depressed the hell out of me.
  23. Sting is better DPA (damage per activation) wise. The damage it deals is lower, but it is much faster. So in high recharge attack chains where every second is milked, you want the high DPA attacks.
  24. Chrono Puncher: super strength / Energy Brute. "he came from the future! to PUNCH!" Costume has the retro-sci fi and all that.

For some reason I thought it was such a campy obvious name what should have been taken in Virtue, but wasn't.
