That's ... weirdly hilarious. Like a spider superhero who made Cthulhu the logo on its costume. (Because it's thinking "I'm already a spider, so I need to dress up as something even scarier than I am." Then, while it's thinking about sharks and bears and bats, a Cthulhu flies through its window)

Cthulhu-Spider! Does everything a Cthulhu can!

I don't see what all the fuss is about. It's just a spider.

I didn't even notice the pattern on it and was wondering where the Cthulhu bit came from until you got me to look at it again.

It's not a picture that I find disturbing. There's nothing to even properly indicate size, so the spider could be big or it could be tiny. ::shrug::

Cute until they sting you paralized, liquefy your innards and then proceed to slurp you up.

Whomever linked that one of the giant spider eating the snake, may the fleas of 10,000,000 camels infest your nether regions!

Eh, most spiders aren't particularly aggressive toward humans. Besides, those three are tiny.

I didn't see what was scary about it. Personally, if spiders did scare me, I'd worry more about the ones that decide to take up in one's ear canal than about the big ones you can see coming.

The best way to deal with that is to cultivate ears that act like pitcher plants, with hairs that keep 'em from backing out and a slurry of digestive earwax. Yum!

now that is one effing huge spider lol

That Queensland spider isn't really that big. I live in the state in question and the tree spiders (completely harmless and non-aggressive and non-venomous) are bigger than that. Besides, the local geckos kill all the smaller ones anyways.

As oppose to being bitten by a radioactive Cthulhu?

Hmmm. Now I can't stop thinking about a Kaiju film featuring a Cthulhu blasting areas around Tokyo Bay with it's radioactive breath.
