For the record, I'm looking for another game with a class that uses a similar methodology as the Mastermind.
Diablo 2 Necromancer, CoH Mastermind. I like my pets on the front line, and me behind em in a "management" position. -
its just a yellow/black garden spider with the cthulu face on it. MEH.
-
Around page 3 this thread became tl;dr.
That said, those 3 pages contained some really good arguments.
I recall reading at some point a longish time ago that a Superman game was being developed where defeating the bad guys who were on his tier wasnt about how much damage Superman could take or dish out, but about defeating the bad guys before there was too much collateral damage.
This doesnt make too much sense in current generation MMOs because you dont have too many ways to measure that in a scripted fight aside from "Race against the timer" function, but I do hope for the future.
Destructible environments in games these days give me hope for fights where you want to kick the bad guys *** without throwing him around too much and destroying homes and businesses in your favorite city, especially if he's as strong as you are and hellbent on causing destruction rather than mostly fighting you. -
Speed runs are the best way to do BAF, even if you want iXP. The extra threads you get doing multi runs in the same time it takes you to farm NS and Siege over and over again makes it absolutely stupid to farm them. Every thread you turn in for iXP is worth 50K.

Quote:Resummoning pets is NOT a failure. The point the OP is making is that pets die so fast you dont even have time to train them after being summoned. Some MM pets are actually just plain worthless in the incarnate trials.I was referring to their damage output. My uber Defender (at even con) couldn't kill one commando from spawn to exit while my less than uber MM ripped through them.
They also excel at AV take downs even though they may have to be resummoned often, since you have a steady stream of pet attacks stacking whatever Incarnate debuff you chose.
I'm doing just fine with Necro on the iTrials. Mostly because I don't regard resummoning as failure. -
I checked this evening on some Rikti LTs. My pets ARE delivering the debuffs. They just dont have an icon displaying such.

Heya, MM player here. I got my interface slot unlocked a few days ago. I promptly constructed the interface enhancement for the slot, and slotted it after the TF was over. Upon doing so, I noticed that my ninjas didnt get a buff icon like they do with the alpha slot. I immediately tried unsummoning and resummoning them with no change. Then I changed zones, unslotted the power, changed zones again, reslotted, and still nothing. I've even constructed the T2 upgrade and slotted it. No change.
What I DONT know, is if the ninjas are affected by the reactive anyway, but just dont have a buff icon. All I know is that the icon isnt there.

I'm torn between this, and the tune that plays in Cap Au Diable when you come off the ferry for the first time as a lowbie. -
Yeah I eventually figured it out. It's the huge body type there. As I've now been told, even though the huge and male body types are basically the same if you max out the scales, the huge body type has bigger costume props.

Check out the difference between the two. Me (Vorpal Wolf), have the scales completely maxxed out for size. Why is this other cat (Darkpsyde) bigger than me?! -

Glad to see the mothership raids are back. I got both my 50s fully kitted in vangaurd costumes thanks to these happening.
I'd go, but I'm gonna be on the road at 8PM tonight =\ -
Quote:They talked about that, during the conversation between Young and the kid. He said something about "I'd ask you for your weapon, but blah blah blah".Actually it depends on the severity of the injury in his leg. A serious enough injury to the femoral triangle in just one of his legs could result in him dying from blood loss before they could finish extricating him from the wreckage and treat the injury.
And the "I'll kill you quietly" thing could have been easily handled by giving the kid a pistol and letting him finish himself off. My impression was that the kid knew he wasn't going to make it, and the only justification I'd accept for Young to smother him would be if the kid said he couldn't bring himself to commit suicide because of his religion.
Basically, the kid knew that if he were to ask Young to provide him a means of suicide, it would seriously damage the Colonel's relationship with his crew at that point. -
Quote:Of course, even if those planet types are exceedingly rare. The number of planets that inhabit a given galaxy make it a statistical probability that there are going to be hundreds or even thousands of them. Needle in a haystack. If a ZPM was powerful enough to reach the Destiny they could have dialed from Atlantis. Furthermore they can't just use the power from the core of any planet to establish a wormhole to the Destiny. The Ancients facility was built into the planet Icarus which had a unique naquadria core which provided sufficient power to dial a 9th chevron address. This world was the only world ever discovered to naturally produce Naquadria.
The Lucien Alliance had discovered another Icarus type planet with a naturally occurring naquadria core and set up a base so they could attack the Destiny. Both planets blew up so unless Earth can find a third planet Icarus type planet they can't dial the Destiny. -

Hey guys. I looked all over the first couple of pages to find a similar problem to mine, and not having much luck.
Basically what's happening is my game is crashing to the point of locking up my PC. It seems to be graphics related because of all the wonderful artifacts that appear on screen when it happens, but my machine is not immediately disabled when it does. I've taken some screen shots for you.
First it looks like this.

If I leave it alone it will progress to this.

Then this

This only happens in City of Heroes. Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Starcraft 2, and World of Warcraft both run fine on maximum settings for hours on end. I have a lot of other games I could test this on, but those three are the top 3 played for me.
I'm not aware if it's important or not, but that cave mission where you take out Sapphus seems to kick me to those screens right away. The other character didnt experience that until after several minutes of playing.
Also, I'm running a GeForce GTX280 graphics card. Unless they updated the drivers for it last night, I know the drivers are the latest. I updated them the first time this happened.
Lastly, I believe you like CoXHelper reports, so here

You can change your height already. Its a feature I use on my 2 main characters. Black Emporer changes from an average sized human (6ft tall, medium build) to completely maxxed out(on all scales) demon between size changes.
My crab does that too. His epic costume is completely maxxed out in all scales (and Crab Spider Longfang enemies are STILL bigger!), but a couple of his other costumes, including his Vangaurd set, only show his actual size and build. -
these are win, except the part where everyone tries to go and gets locked out of RWZ.
-
If you want an extra power, drop the leaping pool entirely and get super speed as your travel power. With you double-stacking leadership youll make everyone pretty awesome in the group.
Also, drop all your single-target attacks and pick up only AoEs. If youre in a team, chances are youve got a brute or tanker.
Vengeance is so-so. Someone's gotta be dead before you use it. -
another great raid. Our team got 400 merits, but only 1 bomb credit. Unfortnately I had to book immediately after.
-
I'm comin. My RAM is on its way to OCZ's RMA department, so ill be comin on my GF's computer. I'll lead a team and such, since I can count on this machine not sucking

So does mine, but that doesnt mean he's not above fooling some heroes into thinking he's had a change of heart.
