Going Rogue and Soldiers of Arachnos - Side Switch

Yeah I think it's freaking WIN. It makes perfect sense anyway. Soldiers of Arachnos shouldnt be about being ebil, but they are in fact ebil, by playing both sides for the most personal gain.
I wonder if they are going to add that dark crystal thing in CoV due to Kheldians.
What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

I pray that we can't switch, though I'll
guess we can. Its one of the aspects of
the going rogue that will likely be my
end of this game.
It has always been my plan to take her to Paragon City. Her story is Longbow related so this will be perfect for us.

Seriously though, seems like it would make sense for PvP also since SoA's perception cap is greater then Stalker's stealth cap.

AAH! The flames. They burn!
I have both a crab/bane and a NW/fort. I was thinking of bringing my NW/fort to the blue side, although I'm really uncertain right now.
I'm not sure what I'll bring to the red side from blue. I was thining of my fire/kin controller (who's from Praetoria to begin with) might be good to move over.
In any case, I hope that changing sides isn't a one-TF sort of thing. I hope it would take some dedication to do so.

I'd move my spider over to the good side, only if we were allowed to customize the colors of our spiderlings, reinforcements, and blaster from black scorpion. I'd make Rachnid of Liberty with a red, white, and blue theme, with matching pet spiders. But alas, we can't customize our pets, so I'm staying evil

My SoAs take pride in their rank and authority within Arachnos. They will take great pride in hunting down those that dare to renounce the gifts of training bestowed upon them...
So does mine, but that doesnt mean he's not above fooling some heroes into thinking he's had a change of heart.

Curious, because I have a Magic - Blaster Hero I was planning on "turning dark", since her origins are heavily tied into the Circle of Thorns, A bow-user that's been trying her hand at being a Witch Hunter....
She's even "negotiating a contract", as you see here....

They haven't said in detail how it will ultimately work out. It would seem there will be a morality compass as part of it. In addition to your actions making a difference there are two new NPC contacts that will be involved with changing factions. My guess is somewhere blue side heroes will find Maelstrom to go rogue, and villains can search for Desdemona to reform.

I've always liked the idea of characters that have stories which tie them to past lives that are opposite of what being a Heroe or Villain is.
My was betrayed by Lord Recluse when he asked her to kill her parents as a show of loyalty and that is where her story leads her to Paragon to seek out Agent Indigo.

As for SoA going 'rogue'... Well I got some storyline for one of mine. My wolf spider was a latent psychic cop from paragon who was infultrating a criminal gang (similar to Flux). Her undercover work took her to the rogue islands, where she ended up getting 'recruited' by Arachnos. At first she figured it'd be a great way to feed info to the athorities on Arachnos plots, but well.. As anyone who's done late game villain arcs knows, all Spiders and Widows are brainwashed and have their psychic abilities turned towards Arachnos goals. For Arachnid Huntress, this means her latent psychic abilities were turned towards maintaining her brainwashing and that of her fellow spiders.
So when Going Rogue comes out she could potentially go hero side and have it fit her storyline.

My widow Hyperthread started as an elec/dev blaster and is really a heroine. I had a little RP story where she was kidnapped and brainwashed by Nocturne from Arachnos a couple years ago in Faultline. So playing her as a widow has been solely to show her Arachnos training from the brainwashing anyway, while giving her a chance to go after Arachnos on their own turf.
Once she hits 50 and has defeated GW and Recluse, it would make perfect sense for her to return to Paragon City full-time. So yeah, I'm really hoping the widows can switch sides.
