That begs the question of VEATs. None of them are Natural. The Crab backpack is clearly Tech. The Fort psi-powers are either Tech or Science. The Bane relies on weapons and the mace, which are Tech. The Widow has Mindlink and Foresight.

Will definitely fit Jane Woo, my DP/TM corruptor

Given that the power set is only days old, it'll be some time before people have enough play experience to comment intelligently. I think it'll be about a week before we see the first StJ 50 out there, and another week before that toon is T3d out. (I kid, probably Wed for all that)

Good point raised. In fact, exactly how did Cole know how far to go back in erasing Duray's memories? Duray may have been planning this for a year or more, yet gives the instruction to go back a very specific the last month.

Quote:And, you can unlock your Alpha slot via the iTrials as well. You don't have to deal with Trapdoor's bifurcations if you don't want to.Right now, assuming you have Going Rogue, you talk to Mender Ramiel in Ouroboros to get the mission arc to unlock the Alpha Slot and then eventually craft and slot a rare or very rare Alpha Slot boost. As long as you're not exemped below 46 you'll be level-shifted to 50 (+1). Additional level shifts can be accessed, but they only work while playing the Incarnate trials.
Level shifts are part of the Incarnate System. After issue 21 goes live you will be able to use the Incarnate system on any 50 as long as you're subscribed. Free and Premium players cannot use it. -
What would be useful is the ability to use a TP power on someone in your league. Don't know if that's considered a "buff" but it would be useful to be able to Recall a leaguemate from the RWZ hospital if you're the only TPer on the league...

Quote:Or the lady possibly most connected to Praetorians trying to cross over into primal Earth... Maria Jenkins.Possibilities:
- Lady Grey
- Ms. Liberty
- Avatea (trying to get Neuron mod-smacked).
- Arcanaville (trying to find out where the statistical data on Neuron's calculations came from).
- Golden Girl (hoping to use her to baffle Cole and Neuron with smilies).
- Samuraiko (hoping for a publicity announcement).

Quote:You answered your own question here; City Hall, the seat of government.Let me start off by saying I am not in any way talking about why players are always there. I'm talking about why are villains always trying to strike there. Recluse's map on his meeting table has crosshairs on it, Neuron's portal shows it, it's the first mayhem mission, why?
Atlas has the City Hall, that's about it... yet it has graffiti, a couple of Longbow, ruins, a ton of Hellions, and is more trashy...
Now, one might ask, why the hubbub over the smallest state in the US? (Paragon City is in Rhode Island) -

Quote:This was indeed an issue during the LGTF when you had to rescue her. It's long since been fixed, but there were quite a few runs where people were "How'd we fail?" when no one had seen her yet, but the Nems in that last room were aggroed.I've run into this same type of bug on several different occasions; unfortunately the only solution is to reset the mission and try again. Fortunately most tips only take 5 minutes or so to run so it's not a huge deal... of course if you're deep into a TF and you get that same bug you could have an issue. Hmm, off the top of my head the only TF that comes to mind where this may be an issue is the LGTF.

Quote:Just purchased a new computer what is the fastest way to download the client without having to wait hours for all the upates.
Thank you- Start the installation process on the new computer. When it starts copying files, abort.
- Locate the PIGGS directory on the new computer.
- Copy the PIGGS directory from the old computer onto a DVD (or share the drive if you're networked)
- Copy the PIGGS directory from the old computer to the new one.
- Restart the updater. It should only have to verify the files now.

A Y-splitter won't do the trick. You need a video card with 2 video ports, or 2 video cards to accomplish what you want to do. Once you get at least 2 video out ports, you'll have better luck setting both monitors to the same resolution, extending the desktop to both monitors, and running CoH in windowed mode (not full-screen) so you can drag it onto the bigger monitor.

Look at it like this; to get a tier 4 shard, you have to combine 2 tier 3s plus other stuff. So continue to build up the one you feel was a mistake with that process in mind, and it's not such a bad position to be in after all...

Quote:Sorry, this was LRSF, not STF. And we were 100% PuG, no picking and choosing of ATs and builds. And that's how it should go, I've just never been on a team doing the STF that's recognized that or bothered to coordinate anything. People pointing out that they've done it themselves doesn't do anything except make me feel even worse because there's apparently a magical team formula for the STF that I've never encountered.

Quote:Correct on 1 and 2; don't know about 3. I got ~7 shards on the LRSF and the special shiny at the end. Couple of times I got shards from 2 enemies back to back.I just want to confirm this.
Only 1 notice will be issued per week despite having 2 targets, right?
If this is true, I just have to come on for 4 hours a week for each of my two alpha slotted characters. We'll still get shard drops too, right? They don't go away with the notices, right?
Also, the week runs from Tuesday to Tuesday, right? -
I ran a LRSF this afternoon with all 50s that completed in ~90 minutes. Gotta stop beating Val down twice and get a stealther that can TP past some of the groups. Not a speed run, but we recognized where it was important and where it wasn't important to beat the baddies down.

Quote:Don't forget that CoV comes with 30 days on game-time, too. Might need to purchase a few of these at $4 each...Currently Amazon is selling new copies for $3.88

Quote:The game can't tell where you're from when you hit the magic lvl. So it say congratulations, even when you haven't unlocked anything. Was there anything special I have to do?
I've read on one thread that I can't unlock them if my Character was Praetorian. Is this true? If so, why would it tell me that I've unlocked an Epic Archtype once I reach level 20 even though I wasn't supposed to unlock it as a Praetorian? I was looking forward to trying out the epic archtypes.
Thank you in advance.
And FYI, Praetorians don't have epics to unlock. Yet. I would not be surprised if a Praetorian-specific epic is in the works... -
I think you still get double-credit on the boat in Gville. Don't know if patrol XP is doubled, but time for Smuggler and the Gville badge are gained simultaneously.

Quote:Why not just *not* concentrate on the DJBs? No one forced you to log a character in a particular place (no one but you, at least). After 2-5 day jobs acquired, there sets in a "This is a stupid way to get a badge, how much longer?" attitude. At which point players that want to play their character has to make the choice of "get the day jobs out of the way as fast as possible" or "I might cancel my subscription before I collect all the day jobs". That was exactly what I was feeling. Yes, it bugged me that much.
I have a handful of characters I love to play. My badge collector is at the top of the list. I've been put into the situation for the last two years of choosing to either play my favourite character or potentially fail to get all the day job badges.
This is a choice I never should have been faced with. I totally blame the developers for this mechanic, and it is one of the things that has lessened my love of this game.
And incidentally, you didn't have to avoid playing a character to get the badge. The DJ time is cumulative for each log out. -

Was wondering when someone would figure out that in the process of getting 4 additional powers, we got 4 additional slots as well.

Considering all they've said is "the servers will be down for 4 hours" and how many have jumped to the conclusion that this is the launch of I19, did they really have to say much more?
