Just purchased a new computer what is the fastest way to download the client without having to wait hours for all the upates.

When you run the installer it *should* pull down all the current content without additional patches.

Or you can always just copy the installation across...

  1. Start the installation process on the new computer. When it starts copying files, abort.
  2. Locate the PIGGS directory on the new computer.
  3. Copy the PIGGS directory from the old computer onto a DVD (or share the drive if you're networked)
  4. Copy the PIGGS directory from the old computer to the new one.
  5. Restart the updater. It should only have to verify the files now.

I just went though this. I copied the old coh directory from my old computer to my new computer, placed it exactly in the same location as your old files(about 4 gb). Run the updater from inside the folder. I got to within 44 mb(missing latest patch). Use a thumb/usb drive if you have it.
