Right now, assuming you have Going Rogue, you talk to Mender Ramiel in Ouroboros to get the mission arc to unlock the Alpha Slot and then eventually craft and slot a rare or very rare Alpha Slot boost. As long as you're not exemped below 46 you'll be level-shifted to 50 (+1). Additional level shifts can be accessed, but they only work while playing the Incarnate trials.

Level shifts are part of the Incarnate System. After issue 21 goes live you will be able to use the Incarnate system on any 50 as long as you're subscribed. Free and Premium players cannot use it.

Just to clarify, that's rare or very rare, which equates to a Tier 3 or Tier 4 Alpha. The Tier 2 uncommon does not include a level shift.

And, you can unlock your Alpha slot via the iTrials as well. You don't have to deal with Trapdoor's bifurcations if you don't want to.

Trapdoor is a breeze compared to the portal room. I made the mistake of running that with AVs turned on. Was...ummm..... not real fun.

While Trapdoor does get the most hatred, the portal room is harder. I even think the minotaur is even more difficult. Trapdoor is really just about being annoying and some people have little issue with him while some find him a pain the rear.

I find Trapdoor always tiresome but never hard, and sometimes the portal room is hard but always fun. The minotaur is always trivial.

I was under the impression that you can't auto-complete that mission because it uses branching text and you have to make a choice. The choice doesn't actually affect the outcome, but the system reads it as something that can't be skipped because the branching text is in there.

He can be exceptionally difficult with melee characters if you don't have enough damage output to drop him before he gets a few clones out.

He's a piece of cake with ranged characters. Pop enough Lucks to soft-cap and kill the bifurcations as they spawn (easier on ranged characters because you don't have to travel as far to hit them), and hit Trapdoor himself between bifurcations.

Or just pop enough reds on a melee to where it won't matter. I jugged a bunch on my Kat/sr and we was down in no time. As always, using the lava always helps.
