well i was able to get my alpha done today
the end reduction in cardiac is totally awesome. i gotta say its well worth the time to get it! we were on a reichman tf and had to debuffs ,all damage and man i never had any end issues at all!
totally worth it!
the bad side was the damage resistance of 20% on my fire tank ended up only being about 4% more resistance. i went from a 77% s/l resistance to 81% resistance.thats all fine and dandy and all. but i was hoping for at least alittle more.
so far though loving it!.. -
i dont know..i personally would like to hear from war witch about some of the bigger issues in the game that have been shelved and half ***** by other devs for the last 2 years and see where shes planning/taking this game past gr/issue 17 as she has this new postition.

oh and btw its the general concept of tanks to sponge the hits by going in first and controlling aggro.kinda been like that since 2004 iirc..thats why they have taunt and gaunlet and scrappers dont. -
yeah well considering jack was involved before and wont be now...i think that wont be the case.

i dont tend to play with scrappers cause the general thought nowadays is scrappers rule the game blah blah blah. can take more hits then a tank blah blah can outdamage tanks yadda yadda yadda
if the scrapper doesnt wanna play with the team...ask him to please come back.if hes being a dick...kick the guy off the team.
ive said it a 100 times over...id rather play with a stalker ANYDAY then a scrapper cause at least they know their role and playing as a team isnt hard.but for some reason people who play scrappers and not tanks cant get a handle on it as easy as the rest. -
the freakshow have been nerfed of xp.sure some rise back up but its not enough to cover the loss .neither is the family mish

i went the route of elec/stone melee. and wow what fun it is.
tons of damage and plenty of smash!.. -
its the way you flame the ops that doesnt get your point anywhere.
maybe if you pointed out something better then your temper tantrum you could actually get a actual point.
at the end of the day its his god given right to use the "suggestions" forum to suggest something he would like.
but dont tell him hes wrong on everything based on things you dont know about.then try to save face..sorry but any point you try to make now is mute -
regen isnt quite what you need for a fire tank since regeneration has nothing to do with fire..if you want faster health then i suggest going for rexharge to make healing flames come up faster
also you can get pp from the energy epics if you really wanted to regen it out..dropping burn and fire sword could get it easy -
not really a small amount but with multipe foes it gives a ton!
i dont think your using it right if you say its only a small amount. -

if it wasnt given to tanks then why post it in the tank section?
like i said..it doesnt matter where it went.. the original content and concept was made for tankers.
brutes in 2004 were those big purple things in the shard.
why cant you people understand it?..
we know it never went to tanks.
we know it went to brutes.
we know that it never went live.
we know you all hate states
we know you hate the idea of fury going to tanks
we know you hate vilatity for saying it
but after all that..it was still a tanker "idea"
whether or not it comes to live or not...it still was a tank idea.
it was made to fix tanks issues in 2004
it was made to increase the damage of tanks not something that didnt exsist yet in the game.
it was posted "IN" the tanker section
what more can i tell you...it was a tanker plan/idea/a fix/new way/new power/new flashy thing
sure they changed their mind..states did that. but one thing was clear after all your fighting with one guy is.

i agree with techbot..i posted the truth about furys beginnings..whether states is a liar. a cheat or just a bad dev to it never hitting test,live or anything else the fact remains it was made and a thought for tanks.
stop hating a guy who wanted what was given to tanks orginally ..he wasnt far fetched considering it was a concept for them 6 years ago geeze
hell i dont even know why you blame states for the markets issues nowadays..that makes no sense at all..posi and castle are clearly to blame..their ultimate drop rates are what are causing any at all issues with out of control prices. not to mention the markets not being merged. none of it is states fault.
trust me..i was here for e.d..i didnt like him either..but place blame on the right dev. i think posi stepping down is a place in the right direction. -
oh and before anyone says anything...im not saying tanks are getting nor deserved fury...just tell you it was a tanker inherit first...someone here says it never was.
im clearling up that part is all....
however the tank inherit currently does suck ***....and fury would have been great. things like aao(sheilds) have been great additions to tanks. -

Tanker Update

As promised, I've been looking into the issues facing Tankers; I thought I'd explain the direction we're going. As we analyed it, Tankers have three very valid concerns (aside from the issues with specific power sets):
1. Without Provoke, they are not a real Tanker. Those people who enjoy the MMP role of "meat shield" have trouble holding aggro properly.
2. The Tanker's defense stats can be matched by a properly slotted Scrapper - but the Tanker can not approach the Scrapper in damage.
3. The Tanker doesn't "feel" like a comic book Tanker should. And frankly, this one really, really bothered me. Because our game is a comic book MMP.
So - here's the solution we're going to try internally. We went through a ton of possible solutions, and we weighed each one against how well they answered the three points above as well as how long it would take to get done.
1. Tankers will get a "provoke" like AOE effect on their melee attacks. The more a Tanker lands his blows, the more and more mobs he'll attract. The bonus here is that it's not exactly like Provoke (it's not ranged) - but it makes a lot of sense. Some huge monstrosity is bashing the heads of a villain group - they're going to get more and more concerned about taking him/her out....
2. As a Tanker lands more and more blows, he'll start doing more and more damage. The longer the fight, the more powerful the Tanker becomes. I can't say that the Tanker will do as much damage as a Scrapper - but it'll certainly be more than he does now. This ability really gets to the core of a comic book Tanker. He's extremely powerful - but at the start of a fight, he holds himself back some. As the battle progresses, he lets loose....I prefer this system to a power because this way it's inherent. It's simply the nature of the Archetype. And it also sets the Tanker apart from the Scrapper's criticals.
Of course, the thought in your minds must be....WHEN?...I'm afraid I don't know. First, we need some code for this. Then we've got to test it thoroughly. Finally, it'll go on the Test Server for awhile to gather data and impressions. This is going to take some time; but I thought you'd like to know at least where we're going, even though we don't know when we'll get there.

when in doubt look it up..stop being a buncha crybabies about brutes and tanks.vit is right..it WAS a tank inherit..and origianally given to tanks. was never told it was overpowered. it never made it to tanks because of cov.instead we got the lamest inherit in the game broken many times over and barely works now.
but make no mistake about it...it was for tanks before brutes were even thought of..oh and read the entire thread if you wish..states goes indepth about it. it was fury without a name. but fury nontheless kids....epic phail kids..epic phail.

i saw 0th back for the first time since he left some 300 days ago..lol. only back as well for a short time.

oh and one more thing wrong with the game..the people who come on here and tell people to quit the game and never come back.
not a smart move if you see the numbers keep droppin youll be in for more then a few surprises and you wont like em!
these are the reasons why i wont touch this game only when its free activation week.if they want peoples money they better hurry or gr will be a day late and a buck short. -
i have 2 issues with the devs..not the game
the game is alot of fun..but its what the devs past and present( no i dont blame anything but e.d. on states)
devs vision on pvp...should be fired for their thoughts on the pvp drop rate and the so called " fix" to the last fix for the fix of pvp..
that is until another 2 years when they "fix" the "fixing" for the "fix" that was originally for the "fix"..yeah i said it . another ball dropped on this one. again even. how do you justify a drop rate for a system you screwed up and actually tell people its ok. great work indeed!
and 2nd..the pure repetition in this game they call "new content" or a new "issue"
making a tail thats been in the game for 5 years and animate it then call it a new issue?..come on...that use to be what we called issue and a half back in the day.oh plus a new mission..then they fix a buncha junk and add thats the new issues for the last 2 years.
time to motivate in that office or start clearing desks..this is why the numbers show such a decline in posi's past 2 years as head dev. -

well for only 3 bill's id start with a few pvp i.o's ( and i do mean a few) but i know thats alittle too much for a 3 bill build with prices these days thanks to the devs and their "balance"
but there are a few worth getting like the defense pvp set and that 3% resistance i.o
the "in" thing to do now is softcapping yourself..course remember not to gimp yourself when you fight npcs with - def in them or they will wipe the floor with you.
i was fighting the other day with my elec tank..hes been built for resist and def..and i lost over 40% of my defense stats but luckily i have over 88% resistance ( less then 2% resistance capped) so i was fine with that and physical perfection. running..but if i hadnt built it right...they would have floored me. -

i honestly think you need to see the other side of tanks...2 stoneys and an invul ..your missing out on a ton of good tanks yet.
try a fire ,dark or elec tank...something alittle less from the top of the mountain perhaps -
grounded at 47?...nope sorry aint gonna work..taking it much sooner is the smart move.

for everyone one that says this game isnt dying or isnt a ghost town your only kidding yourselves.
when you dont think every year is a nerf in some way shape or form..your again kidding yourselves.
e.d. was the start of 3 different power "fixes"..this game is too far gone to even start to think it can be balanced or fixed.
oh and at least states didnt tell us things like "base love" then fire the dev that said it and watch posi lie and tell people to their faces that it was never said and didnt know where we got that information from.
thats right fool....it didnt come from states!..so are they more acurate?...doubtful!
hows are skills doing now btw?..you know the skills we didnt get after posi announced it?...lol i suppose he was accurate there too.....acurate indeed!
and btw..if the info they give us in more acurate ( which i never said it wasnt so you fail to see my point) is that at least they talked to us as the consumer which now doesnt happen at all.
