No dev love for the other forums?
I was looking at the dev digest and I noticed, it's been months since a dev or moderator has posted anything in the other forums. Especially the training room, or player questions. Only the devs truly can answer player questions since the players don't know what this game can and cant do due to engine and software limitations. One dev actually posted an Ask a Dev thread, and got 3 pages of questions with not one answer. Why ask a dev if there will be no answer.
Look through the other sections of this forum, go to the development section, answer the questions in ask a dev. That was just a slap in the face to tell us to ask you a question and never answer any of them. |

Thank you, Champion.
no excuse to ignore the community. I mean come on...if you make a thread called "Ask a Dev", you should take a minute to check in on it and answer even a few questions.
With as many people working on this game, there is time to answer some questions.
Actually, if you actually look in the Dev and Community Digests, you can see that they've been posting in several of the forums, not just this one. And right now, I expect several of them are posting in the Issue 17 Closed Beta forums.

Feel lucky that we get as much interaction with the devs as we do
@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!

As for the Training Room, it's pretty quiet lately because the training room has had the DP Closed and Open beta, and they've been posting in the beta threads instead.

Did someone actually just use "slap in the face" in a non-sarcastic manner? Wow. It's been a while.
Can no longer take any post, here or anywhere, that uses that phrase seriously. Except, of course, if you are talking about a time when you were literally slapped in the face.
Dr. Todt's theme.

1. Start your day by writing down all the post totals of all your favorite devs.
2. End your day by writing down all the post totals of all your favorite devs.
3. Subtract "start of day total" from "end of day total."
4. Realize that the devs are posting a ton on relevant topics.
Just because you can't see them, doesn't mean they aren't staying busy.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

You can count the number of dev posts in the history of the market forum on one hand with fingers to spare.
Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad one.

Read the description of Player Questions. Have an epiphany on the meaning of words. Realize there have been under 20 developer posts in that section for a reason.
Look at the Training Room and Tech Issues sections. Realize there are a ton of competent people that make a habit of answering those questions you say players can't answer. Have an epiphany on what redundancy is.
Lastly, ask yourself: would I rather have devs working on this game, or writing posts about it?
PS- oh yeah, like others said, accept the fact that since there's a Closed Beta on, their attention may be a little focused on that than it is on people begging for more I17 or GR info. As I said above, better to get the job done before deadline than to explain it really well but never get it done.

Theres a good reason for this: Villains post on those other forum sections. And as everyone knows, the Dev's hate Villains.
So really, it's all the fault of the villains.
And communists. Damn dirty commies.

You know this statement in your OP?
Only the devs truly can answer player questions since the players don't know what this game can and cant do due to engine and software limitations. |
You, as a player, do not know their schedule. Please don't speculate unless you want one of us creating threads about how you don't dress properly enough for success at your job.
Even when I disagree with their developmental decisions, we have some of the most well-intentioned, earnest, player oriented developers and otherwise Red Names out there. The times they let you down are not a slap in the face. They are an inconvenience or vague frustration. Kind of like when your parent buys you a $90 gift every holiday season and then gets you a $30 one during the recession. It's disappointing, not a slap, a word which implies serious harm with active intent.

That's definitely a situation where you read what people say and quietly write reports on it.
Almost right. A slap in the face means intentional harm and disrespect...not serious harm.
d00000m.
It was actually said ages ago by another red name of whom i cant remember the name. that the devs are busy, more so with new issues near release and in this case an expansion that they can hardly post on the fourms during work hours.
