I think they forgot to add the "DOOOOM" shield to both heroes and villains.

I'm pretty disappointed with this initial offering for Villains. Maybe there are better things planned for the next round of power set swaps. Maybe there were some fantastic obvious reasons based on data available only to the devs that make all of this totally make sense. All kinds of maybes rolling around in my head...

... but... right now...

Seriously have you ever played a villain? Even looking at this totally from a pve perspective you can see the biasness that the devs have towards villains. Heroes get the best buff villains sets. With Power Boost those sets get to be even better. Secondly look at the Patron powers vs the Epics, look at the overall design of the STF vs LRSF. One requires a balanced team to succeed easier the other requires a team heavily skewed with certain builds to succeed easier. Really to me aside from Battle Axe and Storm powers going villainside, villains were royally screwed if you cant see that then you are playing a totally different game than the rest of us.

LoL@ Elec/Elec Stalkers, Earth/Elec Doms. I can see doms killing themselves if they get chain induction and pair it with Mind or Plant.

I'm going to end up with an Electric Dominator, one way or another. Probably also a Pipe Wrench Brute, who will no doubt need a suitably silly battle-cry.

DarkityTanks are going to have all manner of good times.

I do kinda wish Scrappers had got Super Strength. Still, everyone likes fire!

Sad, bloody sad day for Villains and Heroes. Well lets hope VEATS make up for this news. Least we'll have something new there that hopefully more thought was placed into. I hope there is a bigger wave with more of a "punch" behind this one. Beacause most of us was expecting a 50' wave, not a splash in the kiddy pool.

Yeah I am totally excited, but yet totally PO'd about this. I would like to see a red name explain why heros get cold and therm and villains get double storm. No emp. And if they even once thought hmmm how would this affect PVP. A bots storm mm sounds fun. but cmon now.

YES! Firey Melee and Firey Aura are what I've always wanted for Scrappers! With Issue 12 I can see myself buying extra slots to make the following:

Elec/Elec Stalker
Fire/Fire Scrapper
Night Widow VEAT
Fortunata VEAT
Bane Spider VEAT
Crab Spider VEAT

BaB, please please please say that the assassination for Electric Melee on Stalkers is not the Squat Shove™.

I am underwhelmed by both offerings, mostly because I wanted to see some improvements to melee. Zero interest in Dark Tanks or Electric Stalkers. I saw a lot of threads about Ice Stalkers and I think that community was clear on what it wanted and it wasn't Electric and there is no Fury oriented reason for that...
Overall congrats to Brutes, Blasters and Defenders. Maybe Dominators because Earth Control + Damage is fairly awesome even if electric isn't that exciting. Feel a little bad for Master Minds, nothing new in primaries and a secondary that Corrupters got too and will use better. Add them to my list next to Stalkers ( as usual )and Tanks who got defecated upon.

Very excited with the new powers. Can't wait to make an Ice/Thermal Controller. Wish /Cold was given to controllers as well though. :/

I am a little disappointed that villain didn't get /empathy for either Masterminds or Corruptors. It would've evened things out because heroes got /Cold and /Thermal.

Still I'm very glad to to finally see the list. Thanks LH.

Which sets should have gotten ported over for villains?

In my personal case, more stuff is more stuff, so I'm happy and going to be soon considering buying new slots or a second account for alts both blueside and redside.

Geez, the stuff for Villains isn't THAT bad. It's not 733t, but it's solid enough. You'd think the Devs had given heroes new sets and replaced all Villain powers with Brawl, the way these posts are going.

In my book, this kind of thing is gravy for us - enjoy what you get, but the real updates are the Issues that NCSoft keeps spamming with loving regularity. If the bonus present isn't amazingly awesome, at least it's pretty good, and heck, it's "bonus."

Anyway, now I have to go roll some alts.

The *ONLY* reason I see brutes getting SR is to fight 40+ Longbow, with their Sonic Grenades. It's still counter-intuitive though, it's not going to build fury as fast as a resist set.

Does anyone else find it funny that the reasoning they used for not giving Brutes Ice Armor make for a very good reason why it should be on a stalker?

Electic armor is going to be a mess for a stalker.
