I concur that the picture for co-op faction TF is way weak. You need two or more toons that typify their faction.

As far as powers go, for villains, use a MM. For Heroes, a Stormie.

For costumes it will be a bit harder to show the difference since costume pieces are shared by all. Perhaps put the hero in the Justice outfit and the villain in the Sinister outfit. Still gotta sell GvE code!

What other co-op zone? The only one coming is RWZ (rikti war zone), which is 35+. The co-op taskforce, if that's what you mean, is 45+

Hah! I totally called this one. People thought the 5th Column were returning, but it made a lot more sense to me to see the Rikti were going to turn into a nasty invasion force. After all, they wiped out all but a few heroes the last time they attacked.

I'd like some clarification on this, if the devs are reading: Does this mean all the missions in the zone will be doable by anyone from 35-50 (kind of like Warburg's 38-50 missions), or are they split into ranges like all the other zones?

I'd like to know this because I've been holding a hero and a villain at level 40 since before issue 8 so I don't miss the first set of missions (35-40) for I10. If it's 35-50 for all missions though, I can finally play them again!

I'm happy either way, but I'm at a happy scale of 11 if level 50s can do all of this new content.

I had no problem completing TFs or SFs finished RSF like 30 times. Just finished Katie Hannon Task Force last nite without single death if you are see one of my toons i more than welcome will u with a TF/SF...

Usually the name of the issue has a double meaning though...so the 5th could still be returning, we won't know until someone said something, etc etc.

Looks awsome, it doesn't specify but does this mean the Crash site is a villian zone as well now? I'm drooling at the thought of taking on Hazard zone size spawns with my MM (that don't consist of PP Elites )

I do hope there is a little more meat to this issue though...IO Sets could use a lot of additions as well (buff/debuff powers I'm looking at you)

give it time, this was just the teaser release. more will come later, when the devs go home and play the game on there home pc, while they leave us in teh dark.

after about 2 weeks of dark, they'll remember us, and give us some of those screenshots they made on their $5000 gaming machines....

Looks good.

This is a big step towards Hero and Villain equality - Now Heroes can participate in a Taskforce and feel the power of rejecting stalkers!

Please note, the above is a joke and in no way reflects my views on equality, Heroes, Villains, Taskforces or Stalkers.

O_o... "Partial" information released on I10 and the usual suspects come out of the wood work. Where's my... What about... I want and so forth. Regardless of the workings of I10 in that it may or may not be introducing new technology, they are giving us new stories. Not only Dev created but player created also.

Hero: Dude, for a Lord recluse boot licking and stealing candy from a baby villain you did an awesome job of takeing out that Rikti ship!

Villain: Why thank you, for an overgrown boyscout I found you semi tolerable and may team with you again to enslave or.... (cough...cough..) I err mean defeat our enemies. Now give me your wallet...

We do not ever know what these crazy guys and gals are working on at any moment in time so second guessing and asking what, where, when, why and why not at this juncture doesn't do anyone any favors at this point..

I'm sure they will string out the information as we go along as they always do. It keeps the player base interested and abuzz, create's hype and excitement and hopefully may even bring the most jadded who have left back into the CO* fold. The only thorn is if they mistep they end causing a feeding frenzy. Hopefully this wont be the case.

I for one pee'd just a little in my excitement at this small bit of information.

Issue 10: me likey!

It pretty much covers what I wanted:

- co-op zone for heroes and villains
- *finally* some new content for levels 35-50
- another world event
- another revamped hazard zone filled with New Stuff™

Looking forward to this.

I adore task forces and strike forces. They rule utterly and completely. I just loved how eloquently this point of view was put forth.

I point you to the Rikti appearing in Atlas Park and Sharkshead.

Granted, that might be part of the TF, but the text talks about "a World Event that spans across numerous zones in both Paragon City and the Rogue Isles, as the Rikti return in devastating waves."

So, while the missions and zone may be limited to 35+ and the TF to 45+, it seems there will be plenty of Rikti action on the streets.

And beside, the +35 game has been lacking in content (i.e., enough to level up with) moreso than the lower levels.

Looks awesome. The Rikti Invasion at the end of Beta was great, and I hope we'll see those motherships zipping around the sky again.

You know what would be awesome? If one mission in the combined Striketask Force had the classic "misunderstanding between allies" and went PvP for a minute there. (Who won or lost wouldn't affect the outcome, but it would be a fun twist.)

I also want to take this opportunity to jump back on my soapbox and say that if the devs expand villain Epic power choices in this issue to include the good stuff (Powerboost for buffers, Focused Accuracy for meleers, etc) consider my undying loyalty won. In fact, this might be a perfect juncture for such an addition because it now allows a villain character to "grow up" away from Grandville and the entire Patrons/Arachnos storyline contained therein- in addition to the technical problems Grandville inflicts on many players, many people simply want to RP their characters away from the Arachnos storyline- giving villains more Epics in line with the powersets already available for each AT seems perfect for the new mid-to-high level zone.

Would it be too much to ask that they design a pvp instance that incorporates the story design for the issue? Like maybe 2 sides trying to maintain control over some kind of Rikti generators or something? Anything that moves pvp forward?

Its not like it would be any harder than spawning in pre-made bases. And we're already used to crashes, so thats not a problem.



Yes, its asking too much. I know. Off to battle more ai that stands still for fulcrum shift and nukes.

And yes, apologies for the negativity to all of you excited about more missions on the lab map. Maybe there is more to come that will adress something for pvp.

Did the mother ships zip during the first invasion? I remember them hanging in the air ominously but I don't remember them moving at all.... probably too busy getting my butt handed to my first level character after I made the mistake of deleting all my beta test characters too eary. Still it was good fun!

Also, the side effect of more craftable costume pieces is a lowering of the cost overall. I for one want a flood of costume receipes. The salvage and INF to make them is negligable anyway.

I just hope/want to know if there's going to be any outer-space zones coming with this feature (similar to how the Shadow Shard operates). Kinda hard to be a Space Hero without any Space to go into.

That aside, this looks like it'll be a fun ride... I ponder if Hero-1 will be making a return, perhaps as a Lost Archvillain?

Well I have to say that so far Issue 10 looks like a pretty good winner!

I will be very much looking forward to the invasion and all the rest of the new content!!!

Very good job on the surface stuff you have released so far Dev's!!!

Way to restore faith and excitement (although mine was not gone ) in the game that we all love!
