You did state that it was the more important part of your question.

It seems like it's getting close to done, but it hasn't gone through bug testing yet, so I can't really expect it any sooner than May.

Still holding out for a set of sideburns that are either a face detail 1 or attached to a non-ridiculously-styled hair, so they can be combined with the goatee I already have and I can stop faking by use of the Roman mask pattern and a completely-covered top half of the face...
I don't think they'd even need to add a third detail category really, just put the same detail pieces in both Detail 1/Detail 2/Ears/What-have-you.

For example:
You could put all of the Horns in the Ears category as well as in Detail 1, which would allow you to pair them with other items like Sunglasses, or the Jester masks at the cost of being stuck with normal ears.

While that obviously wouldn't solve every person's customization woes (Maybe I wanted a horned elf wearing an eyepatch) this would substantially broaden customization options without needing to rework the rig to try and fit in an additional anchor point.

(Another anchor point would be ideal though, were it feasible.)

True, that would do pretty okay for most people. I forgot about the ears anchor point.

No reason why this game couldn't be sued again. *shrugs*

NCsoft is not going to be sued again and certainly not for something as inconsequential as having a skullcap option that can combine with a translucent space helmet.

They also resolved that issue with the makers of CoH Agreeing to police people, if you are caught making a character that violates copyright your name is changed to generic and you have to rename it (not sure if there is more action for further violation)

So really if they come back to us and say we can't have the scifi hood with the the bubble cause of fear of buzz light year copy rights I will call BS since they took care of it and further more not allowing the hood under the helm won't stop people from making one if they REALLY want to...
Yes I actually recall the details of the lawsuit fairly well. Suffice it to say it was a relatively frivolous lawsuit which caused this game to be a bit more vigilant about policing people and (more than likely) prevented any possibility of them releasing their standalone costume creator that they had ready-made for the Korean version of this game. The net effect of this "pointless" lawsuit was that we lost some features we might have otherwise been able to benefit from.

I'm honestly not sitting here losing sleep that this game is about to be sued again. On the other hand it's not exactly smart to give third parties (we are talking Pixar/Disney afterall) too much easy ammunition to try it again either.

For the double rocket pack can we also have an option without the tesla coil things on the tip of each rocket? They look cool and all but I'd like them to be optional.

Can we get more populuxe? I want googie to be leaking out of my eyes. Eyes that are in the palms of my hands.

Hey guys, sorry for not posting sooner but I have been quite busy wrapping up things and bug fixing.

Here are some more pics of the Retro SciFi stuff:

Just a couple of things, as you can see the Male has a couple of new faces without the normal mapping as there just was not enough time to work on high res models for them. The fan on the Back Pack will be animating. Notice the chest detail, it will be in all upper categories. Also notice the Bubble helm will also be in Full Masks for those Buzz fans...lol

As much as I wanted to I was not able to do a non transparent version of the helmet due to skinning reasons and the suit top will only be in the Armored category due to uv reasons.

Looking, great, Dink! Can't wait for these to be available.

The dark haired male face looks like he's tying not to cry. Possibly due to some accident in his suit that is now pooling at his feet.

The costume parts are awesome.

Excellent work, Dink. Very much looking forward to this costume pack.

Insert pic of 'shut up and take my money' here.

Safety first. Without the earth's atmosphere, astronauts have to be careful of uv rays.

To me, it looks more like a mix between this:

Naw, Electric-Knight is right. It's this face:

I just think it looks like he's struggling to maintain a neutral expression.

Is a space zone/environment coming?

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

See, to me, the male face in the second picture looks like this:

OMG, is that Big McLargehuge in the first photo? I'm such a fan of his movies! You should have gotten Maemae von Whooter to pose for the female suit.

I see an amazing three belt buckles already for the belt -- are there more?

I see that all of the gauges and buttons on the chest detail can be color-changed except for one. What does the red button do?

You cannot get me that helmet and those backpacks soon enough; I wish I had them weeks ago. I'm seriously eager for these.

He IS trying not to cry. Did you see how much they Statesman'd the poor guy?

I am buying at least one of those rocket pack styles day one. Perhaps the helmet too.

The whole pack's a day one buy for me. Of course, my big question is if the Chest/Pants can take patterns, or are they locked in. It looks like probably the latter, but I'm going to hold out hope.

(I say this fully expecting someone to point to a previous dev post outright stating the latter is the case)

Q: How do you wreck an Abrams?

A: You crash into another one.

Darn. I'll still buy this, but maybe someday we can get an updated version with a metallic, non transparent skin?

DOH! I see there are some Forbidden Planet fans here....lol BUSTED!

InfamousBrad: So there are only the 3 belts but there is a glow and non glow version of each one and the red button is a secret

M_I_Abrahms: Pants are in the "Tight" category and they can be patterned since they are only taking on one color

Glad you guys like the pack, it was one of the funnest packs I have yet worked on!
