Super Packs Update 2/13/2012 - The Numbers

Before tomorrow's launch of the first Super Pack: Heroes and Villains, I wanted to share the breakdown of the odds of getting each item in the packs. This should be considered final and official.

Items marked with "*" are account items that when removed affect the drop chance of all items in the same table if theyre removed.

PLEASE tell there's another way to get the element order coming with this soon. I don't have the money to chance of getting them. Saving for the power sets and other stuff.

There's a guaranteed Uncommon or Rare each pack, I don't know the percentage chance for a VR off hand.

Those aren't overall percentages. Those are percentages within a bracket.

Each card is randomly selected to be Common/Uncommon/Rare/VR. Once its rarity is determined, it rolls on that rarity's table.

Very Rares just have higher numbers because there's fewer items on their list.

There's only one quality of ATO's offered in the Super Packs. Purple ATOs are created using Catalysts (which makes them bound).

My main account is sitting on around 12 Paragon Merits, and I could most likely get the costume by throwing them away for 5 packs each.

Not going to happen, and I'm sure as HELL not throwing money away on them.

You'll note I mentioned my "main" account. I have two.

The second account is still one merit away from getting all of the Tier 9 costume parts. On that account, if I want the Elemental Order costume parts, I'll have to spend cash.

And if I want the wolf pet on both (which I REALLY do), I'll likely have to spend A LOT of cash for both.

That's not going to happen.

Does that mean i22 tomorrow as well, or are these launching separately?

Anyway, I'm in the "won't pay extra" boat for these things too. I'll probably use the reward token method since none of the other repeatables are worth it to me, but that's about it.
