But it's Praetorian Penny's body. Primal Penny still wears a ball cap and is like 12.

I just figured they left her head and its life support out of the procession so she could mouth off elsewhere.

She isn't 12. She was in her late teens in Faultline and since they've advanced the timeline, she's at least 18 by now.

She still wears a ball cap NOW. The funeral obviously takes place in the future.

Domino?
Red Widow?
Jessica Alba?
Scarlet Wytch?

I was under the impression the War Witch in PD was corporeal since, you know, she's holding a cuppa and all. Maybe it's that version that is helping carry the coffin?

Nah, it's primal. Liberty even references the "years since the events in faultline".

Statesman is dead but he's still standing in IP handing out his task force.

Either he's just really dedicated to his job, or they haven't had time to implement all the changes yet.

I got the impression she was 14-15 around the time of the Faultline arcs. Her dad's a little on the short side, and she is half-Chinese, so I expect she'd be a little small for her age.

Now, she looked the same around the time of the RWZ content, and some time has lapsed between that and "current" time if Hero 1 is any indication.

It's not uncommon for girls to sprout up and fill out over a single summer, especially in comics.
Jubilee comes to mind, for better or worse.

The Penelope Yin of the Mother of Mayhem Trial has got to be Praetorian. She's wearing her Praetorian costume, she's in the Praetorian Dimension, and virtually every other character throughout the trials, save for Desdemona, is Praetorian.

I cannot discount the possibility that the person-in-question is, indeed, Penelope Yin, but I am more than skeptical that it is her, regardless of Praetorian or Primal status.

@Winter. Because I'm Winter. Period.
I am a blaster first, and an alt-oholic second.

I don't think anyone is saying that it's not Praetorian Penny in the MoM trial. The Praetorian version is also a bit crazy still, and has her hands full between Metronome and the Resistance.

It's not unprecedented for Primal and Praetorian characters to have very similar costumes, sometimes being effectively palette-swaps of each other.

Matt Miller: We have another surprise left to tell in the first Signature Story Arc, as well as putting a previously minor character (who is much beloved) into the spotlight as a full-fledged hero in their own right.

I'm not too happy that they spoiled this ahead of time. I mean, I know Zwillinger said that it will be worth playing the arc just to find out how her legs get cut off, and why only her legs attend the funeral and not the rest of her body, but it just takes away from the surprise of playing the arc the first time...

Penelope Yin being pushed into the limelight? Doubtful. Never heard much clamor for her on the forums, thus discounting the "beloved." She's known and liked, but beloved... not so much.

I'm thinking War Witch will be given a second lease on life. It makes a lot more sense and she is definitely beloved (even the Dev that bears her name) by the players.

Could also be Ms. Liberty, but there is a coin flip where the players are concerned. Half like her, half hate her. *shrug*

Some have said Desdemona, but she already is a hero in her own right.

My main concern is this: Penelope is a psychic and Sister Psyche is already their resident telepath. On the other hand we already have Desdemona as a decent replacement for War Witch. However, neither have been part of the Phallanx to date and it seems Desdemona is headed for a bigger role in Praetoria. Odds still favor a Resurrected War Witch.

As to who takes the role of leader.... One of my many alts! Mwahahaha.... j/k

So Ms Liberty is still beating out Des, on whom the players seem to be split along the lines of "half mock her and half don't care."
