She's got a custom outfit, what looks to be a unique hair style (could be from the upcoming pocket D pack) and is standing apart from the Longbow and dev created 'demo' characters.

She's almost (but not really) back with the other Vindicators. If she's not Malaise's replacement, she should be. She's a lot easier on the eyes.

People have been speculating that since the picture debuted in another thread... no idea.

What I want to know is how War Witch is helping to carry the casket when she's a GHOST. At least Numina's in the back going "don't trip, guys... don't trip..."

Yes. She must have gotten to know States and the Phalanx better post-mortem, because she really didn't have anything to do with them when she was alive.

Numina doesn't actually look like she's holding the casket. She looks to me like she's in the game's classic hover idle pose just behind it. War Witch, on the other hand, does look like she's holding it, which raises the same question anyhow.

It's a long shot, but that could be a grown up Penelope Yin. Hard to tell from the image size and angle, but the face has a sense of possible East-Asian and/or young features. The skin tone is not right for that, but everyone in the shot seems to have a pallor. Compare it to the faces of the Longbow and Ms. Lib's legs in top center.

Edit: I'm also curious where the original image was from.

Now that you mention it...anyone got a pic of Yin from the MoM trial?

NOT one from after you free her(which looks the same as her pic as a Neutropolis contact.). A pic from the fight with her merged with Tillman with all the storm entities(Penelope Mayhem).

I think that's her.

That's a good point. That does look like that hair-do, doesn't it?

Edit: I don't have a clear screenshot of the character in game, as the ones I have are obscured by powers effects. But I did snag a shot of her info window, which yields this.

Have we determined that ghosts CANNOT hold things in the CoH Universe?

Plus, you've on opposite corners, a nuclear powered suit and a big cyborg.

Yup, was about to point this out. Pretty sure ghosts in the CoH universe are able to manifest themselves physically in some manner. And even if Warwitch CAN'T...its not like they actually need her help to carry the casket. Could just be symbolic. The worrisome thing though is the lack of Sister Psyche.

Edit: I don't think we are seeing all of that proccesion.

I think that is her in the funeral pic.

In the trial, it appears they changed out her bikini and thigh boots in favor of something more modest, but the rest looks like her.

It's less "why is she needed to help" but more "why would an incorporeal being stick their hand on it". It's mostly a rhetorical question from my viewpoint. There are lots of answers we could propose: their maintaining appearances, they can actually manifest to touch stuff, etc.

This. She was hinted as being "grown up" in Ms. Liberty's dialog from SSA#4, and also as fairly well connected -- she knew about Malaise and wanted to be involved in the efforts.

I have a feeling that she'll have a part to play in the rest of this particular arc, and maybe more.

Liberty says Yin thinks she's all grown up, but is not prepared to deal with Malaise.

Maybe not this SSA. Seems a little late to introduce her to the story except as a tease. But for the next? For sure.

There's a vacancy in the Vindicators for another psion, so why not. She has been training with Psyche, so it's fitting for her to be in that spot. Also, the stuff with the Clockwork King adds drama. "C'mon guys, he's not so crazy when you get to know him. OK he is, but...what was my point?"
