Discussion: Featured Items at the Paragon Market - 11/29/11

I don't really care about the rest of the pack - more corsets? Really? - The cigarette and the curly hair option are gonna be singularly bought by me. I've been asking for curly hair since forever, and the cig is a little less silly looking than the full cigar.

I will almost certainly be buying this set because there's a lot of things that I want to do with a fair amount of those pieces.

That being said, judging by the comments thus far, there's a lot more that CAN'T be done with those pieces.

Therefor, my purchase is going to be contingent upon trying out several of my ideas and seeing if they can be done.

The disparity between male and female costume pieces is really starting to annoy me. Yes, I enjoy having sexy costume pieces... but I would much rather have RESPECTABLE costume pieces. "When everyone is sexy, nobody will be."

Heck, Outlaw from Marvel has a hat, a fringed vest, and switches between daisy dukes and jeans, and she looks more respectable and Gunslingerish than the female costume given here. I'd like to have some badass options for my ladies, please!

Good choice of stuff to go together. Steampunk does work with the gunslinger stuff. And the dog works too.

Steampunk and dog probably should've still been on sale though. Even if I already have them.

I'll pass. I usually buy every costume piece that comes out, but I've had enough of pre-tinting and the really awful choices being made as regards female costume pieces. As others have said, it seems like a lot of missed opportunity here, too. Unfortunate.

This is looking like the first costume set I won't buy. The pre-tint causing my costumes to look dramatically different at different graphics settings and making it impossible to mix and match has just gone too far.

A reasonable supplemental pack to augment the existing cowboy/cowgirl options in the game.

I don't think with anyone with imagination (or creativity) would be using an entire pack to create a costume for their character.

But the pre-tinting has to go.

Yeah, pass. I too buy most of the costume sets in the game for wider variety but this had potential it quickly lost with the click of the link. I agree with most of the comments here too. The pre-tint is bull.

Nice set. I used my points on both of my accounts to get it but cannot acess the costumes properly. Points were taken , I have the codes . Created a gunslinger on one account it worked fine - character is in the game but cannot alter preexisting character to gunslinger female costume. Filed a supporet ticket but it has been elevated to senior specialist. It would be really nice if these sets worked in game.

I'm going to reserve all of my "clothing" judgment until I get in the costume creator and put these things through their paces... although on paper this should have been their first "new item" slam dunk in well over a month... so I am nervous based on the feedback here. I hope its not another CoT situation (purchase 1 or 2 individual pieces and run away) cuz this coulda shoulda been an easy market win!

I would still however like to prematurely say, that based on the company provided imagery alone (which always seems severely inadequate for a "store"), I can't believe no one has screamed out epic fail on those strange candy-cane pistol things that are further from "western" than China itself.

Aw man come on now you barely got "one" set of pistols right (proportion, detail, hand-fit) when the ORIGINAL DP power set was introduced (*cough* Navy Colt *cough*).

As it stands now DP unlocks easily the most aesthetically heinous weapon choices in the game, so this wasted opportunity stings more than any clothing issues in my book. It was a chance at redemption or at least betterment. Man I either hope there are more choices or that imagery is brutally misleading.

BTW, the odd cries of "too sexy" really cracks me up, especially in a comic book genre. None-the-less I whole-heatedly agree that all pieces should be as universal as possible and at least port over to the female more often than not. Choice and options are everything.

I bought the "Gunslinger Boots (With Spurs)" on its own. It's still locked in-game. Please fix this.

May we please have a response from an art dev or any dev about why this costume set went live with all the issues, ignoring almost 30 pages or playerbase feedback about already discussed trends from last costume sets?
Come on, I already bought this but would be nice to know if we can expect any kind of fix in next patches.

Pre-tint
Belt doesnt fit well for jackets
No strip versions of the buttcape belt and corset.
No bow options for buttcape belt.
No spurs option for high boots.
Etc...
Set is nice but way too limiting. Also lacks some holsters and some chaps, hats and jackets for females.

Live with what issue? Back in the day, they would release tons of stuff in 1 issue, not every week.

I gotta say, after 7 years of playing this game I am actually getting annoyed with the Costume updates. IT IS NOT CONTENT! IT IS FLUFF!

Why buy any of this when the Devs don't have a back story or something interesting that goes along with the Costume sets! At least give us a small mission arc that explains the reason for getting the Costume set!.

I.E. Here's the Gunslinger/Cowboy/Cowgirl set: Heroes/Villains recently fought Malta Group and uncovered a stash of Primal Earth goodies! Look at these Chaps and Buttcapron, can you believe that Heroes/Villains used to wear these things?! At least you legs and rear will be protected!
