I would believe the answer to be yes.
  2. I have two subsriptions - I would turn them back on to play but I would be leery of ever paying them for extras. They burned the bridge on trust with me.
  3. I always enjoyed street sweeping . Early in the game you would see other heroes out and about then it changed and you might see someone zip by to enter a door. I thought the GDN was wrong Ed and the intro of IO's were too long apart. I liked it when they increased exps.COV fractured the player base as did Going Rogue. There were many times I wished Heroes and villians were both active and visible in Paragon City areas.

Thank you, I am not all that up on whos is who in the gaming industry. This is the only game I play. Tried DCUO and Champoins Online both failed to do i9t for me and I'm not intrested in palying Elfs and Orcs.

Yes with the launch of COH 2. But now I wonder if NC Soft will launch a COH 2 in name only. My trust in NC Soft is zero.
  7. Dingos ate my baby but then Nc Soft ate the dingo.
  8. [QUOTE=Bad_Influence;4415143]Its not about punishing employees of various development studios: its about a lack of player willingness to commit to spending years creating and honing characters in an MMO owned by NCSoft - and indeed, the entire MMO industry - only to have the rug pulled out from under us again.

I have GW2. I have one character in it, currently a level FOUR. WhooO! Lev el 4. I cannot muster the enthusiam to really get into that game, because at the back of my mind I know as soon as I get fully engaged, NCSoft might decide to pull this s*** AGAIN. In fact I rarely log into that game, because the whole time I am there I am thinking about NCSoft and what they are doing to CoX. It ruins my enjoyment. My trust in them is basically destroyed.

I am afraid to become fully engaged with CO, thats an old game and they could pull the plug any time. Any ol' time. Bang. Goodbye.

I think the entire MMO industry needs to sit down and think about what they're doing. Because what they are doing with this "SHAZAAM!, KISS YOUR GAME GOODBYE FOR NO GOOD REASON, HAHAHAHA!" is.... turning off the very customers you should be wanting to court. People who do not trust you have little incentive to spend money on your products; these companies are killing the geese who lay their monetary golden eggs.

    100%
  9. From I Burnt the Toast-This whole thing with NCSoft has turned me off A LOT form MMOs.... I do not see the point in becoming invested in something when the virtual rug can be pulled in an instant without notice. EVEN if I liked CO remotely...I doubt I would play/sub...simply not worth spending the time in something that will more than likely be gone in a few years.

I feel the same- NCSoft has damaged the whole MMO market to me. I tried Champs . I wanted to like it as I am a PNP Champions player and gamemaster sinse 1984. I hated the tutorial, limiter power choices and costume choices. Of course I could pay but look how that turned out in COH.

While i think CoH has some of the best combat in any MMO ever, Eventually i get bored and want to start teaming/roleplaying and such, So i'm curious as to how many of you folks would join in on that, and how many of you are from virtue xD.
I would . Triumph is my main server.
  11. Well that was beautiful. NO thanks NCSoft for killing this game right before I 24 and all the good stuff that was coming.
  12. I think this betrayal of COH players damages all mmorpgs. I have played this game for 8 years and invested around 4 thousand dollars in it . Multiple accounrts for family members and purchases of in game items. Losing all this makes me question why I would ever want to spend on any game again. I tried Champion Online - It paled in comparison to COH. DCUO was pretty but klunky to play.
When this game folds I'm done.

I wanted to let you know that your collective voices have been heard also. I, as a customer, appreciate the underwhelming, under-constructive response at our positive attempts to save the game we love. This has not been an easy decision for me either. Based on your plans on shutting down City of Heroes, I feel, again as a customer, that it is in my best interest to "refocus" my gaming dollars into a different, more reliable gaming company. I do not feel confident in NCSoft's ability to produce any other MMOs with the company's track record of closing down it's own popular games, past and present litigation and the firing of the employees of Paragon Studios. Your current stock prices seem to reflect this as well. I do wish to thank all of you for allowing me to play and enjoy City of Heroes though.
Yes that puts it exactly right.
  14. Who would ever buy another of NC Softs games when they cancel them for the weakest of reasons . They don't want my money so I will never spend another penny on anything them or anything connected to them.
  15. If that is NC Softsd response - heres mine - never will I spend money on anything they are involved in and I will tell all the other gamers I know about this. In fact they are damaging other games because who wants to spend money on something that can be taken away on a whim or some reevaluation of priorities.
  16. DCUO was very nice to look at, not very good to paly. Champions Online was bad, art wise and awful in it's lack of choices in player creation. They say it gives you more choices after level 10 but I'm no that intrested in jumping thru hoops after playing COH.
I'm only intrested in a Superhero game so when this one is done so am I.
  17. Excellent and thank you and Golden Gril for your work on this.
  18. The character creator
Flying- for a year or so I was in a wheel chair being able to fly in this game helped.
Super powers_ while I still thought fire swords were silly compared to fire blasts
    Intresting NPC dialog
Odd little bueatiful places in game.
  19. Optimus_Dex

    Boycott NCSoft

I wil never buy another NC Soft product - even with they come out with COH2.
  20. I will never give NC Soft a penny - this was the only game I played and looks like will ever play.
  21. Optimus_Dex

    Dear NCSoft...

This was the only game I played . I will never give money to anotherof NC Softs products,
  22. I like the revamp, I don't even mind the club hair.

Bases for raiding PVP should basically be a predefined map. You get a set of maps to choose from, you can customize them a bit (place defenses) and then you're good to go. No messing around lots of fiddly details that in the end don't matter.

This allows much more expressive bases too. If I'm a villain, I want my base to be IN ROGUES ISLES. Not just a bunch of square boxes underground. Heroes should start outside in Nerva or Port Oaks, break in, and eventually raid the central computer or power system or even the super doomsday machine.

Ditto for Heroes. Bases should be in Paragon City and look like they're in Paragon City.

And this would also allow maps to be more "fair." Home build raiding bases aren't really that interesting. PvP maps, all of them including bases, need a professional designer and some review process because otherwise you get stuff that looks like it was built by, well, a player.
I like this idea. Someone make it so. ;] Also the holding room idea for base editing is good.
  24. I saw that exchange you mentioned also. I have run DFB on a character in the 42 to 46 lvl range I founf it hard to find teams late at night but seemed to allways find a DFB going.
  25. So Riddle me this should some one hurl thunderbolts at them like Maxie Zeus.
