I may not buy eeeeverything that hits the market but I am one of those people who want every possible costume pack thats available as to get better variety from my characters. Packaging one of the coolest sets to come out recently in a trading card scam just pisses me off honestly.
This is the first time in a long time I've felt super tempted by a simple costume set. I'm fighting it off though and I hope a great deal more of the player base does the same. You can take a stand and that's by not buying into it.
If you don't buy then the super packs backfire and the costume goes on sale in the market as a set.
Power to the people! lol -
I'm really digging A. It has this enterprise look to it. Lil nacelles stick out the sides. Warp speed ahead!
-
I'm seriously thinking about passing on this one. Especially with an 800 point price tag. Do the weapons look any less ridiculous with a larger character types?
-
Yeah, pass. I too buy most of the costume sets in the game for wider variety but this had potential it quickly lost with the click of the link. I agree with most of the comments here too. The pre-tint is bull.
-
Well crud, was hoping for some discounted character slots. Not much else worth getting to me.

Honestly, I've learned my lesson. After so many muck ups I don't bother getting on the game days they do maintenance and upgrades. I tried getting on when the last issue launched and it sucked balls. So now I even avoid playing the game for a week after a new launch. For cripe sakes praetorias still bugged to hell.
It happens so frequently I can't even be bothered with getting upset. -
So is this thing happenin or what? It's kinda odd not to see an announcement the day of.

Never really got around to buying a new pc but now my six year old dell is toast crashing anytime I play the game. I'm a little more open to a system that can get me mid to high range ultra mode. Sadly I'm stuck with something from dell. Here's what I came up with myself. It's an upgraded Studio XPS 7100 with 8 gigs of ram, a AMD Phenom II X4 945 + ATI Radeon™ HD 6770 1GB, running windows seven. Here's the link to the basic system and where you can see the above choice I've made: http://configure.us.dell.com/dellsto...tudio-xps-7100
Anyway, I like to make informed decisions and you guys have helped me out in the past. So many thanks ahead of time.
PS: If there were a dell laptop that could run mid UM I'd be interested in looking into that as well. -
Well, sine I have a bug character I went with an arachnos tarantula. looks nice!

So what lore pets are people picking out for their tanks? Is it basically all the same or would something fit a SS/INV better?
Anyway, anywhere to view pics of the different pets? Just curious. Just unlocked the slot. -
Quote:OK. You get your current subscription and 400 PP per month if you continue paying your subscription. Of course how they handle new items: costumes, power sets, etc. determines whether it's a good deal or a bad deal.
According to the new pricing guide a full bonus pack similar to the Ninja Pack would cost you $12.00+. but that's just that pack--granted you don't have to purchase the whole thing, you can pick up what ever pieces you want. So for three months PP of VIP freebie you get the equivalent of a bonus pack once every three months.
VIP special missions are free to VIP members you don't have to worry about that,
And you get 1 free transfer per month so far so good.
However it's the things they're not telling you that has me worried.
If a marketing person tells you your pants are on fire and they're going to give you a free pair of pants, it's because they want to sell you the underwear, wallet, belt, socks, shoes and shirt that goes with the "free" pants...and that's because all that other stuff adds up to more than the pants are worth.
When a company changes it's marketing model, it's because they are hoping to make more money out of their customers through this model. Not because they're altruistic.
Putting every improvement in the game above basic service in the store shop micromanages the flow of items at 80 points per $1.00. Items that before would have been free will now cost PP's. The 400 PP's each month will be unlikely to cover all the things offered hence they offer VIP's the opportunity to purchase more PP's at $5.00 and (such a deal) larger amounts of points purchased will get bonus points (yet to be determined).
Don't you get it? The real money to be made is not in the subscriptions but in the amount of points players buy. Over time the amount of points purchased by players will be so much larger than subscriptions they might as well offer basic play for free... which is basically what they've done here and in Champions Online, LOTRO, and D&DO.
The 400 pts. are a herring on a hook tossed out there to lure you into a sense of complacency. It will be a while (maybe 6 months, or a year or even two) before the economic model kicks in all the way and they start gating the new content completely by points. It won't be long before those 400 points will seem awfully small... but by then you'll have accepted the system... and all the content we used to think of as included with our subscription fee will be extra.
Now, this, this is what I'm concerned about. It sounds great at a glance but I think somewhere down the line we're all going to be paying out the nose. All that "free" stuff is going to look miniscule in comparison. I can only plead that it NOT go down the above path and they keep the pricing fair and stay away from converting the entire economy. Just don't throw us under the bus guys. Not a couple months from now or even years. You owe us that much. -
Yeah, the steampunk boots are killing me. Just made a really cool character who's both dark gold and dark blue. Everything seemed fine until I loaded the character in game where the boots turn out bright bright yellow. Neon yellow as mentioned by a previous poster. I've had to adjust all my colors to match the boots and the new toon now looks like crap. Fix this where we can change the secondary color please. You can do it on the gloves, why not the boots?

What Darkstar said . . . I was about to go slot crazy but 9.99 at 50% off seemed too cheap. Glad I went looking in the forum for answers. They've adjusted the store price for the sale now. Be forewarned.
There's no telling how many folks they've boned with that little change. -
There's nothing discriminatory about it. Would you rather piss off 90% of your player base or just 10%. I think I'd rather piss off the ten. Anyway, your point is moot every time you accept the user agreement before you enter the game.
-
I'm not concerned with having super crazy nuts ultra mode. I would however like better graphics than I have now, which is running a six year old nividia 5200. I'd like better details overall but that's about it.

Wasn't exactly sure where to post this but here goes. I'm looking to upgrade my pc. After having this one for six years it's really starting to show it's age in game and out. So, I was wondering if the below pc is capable of running Ultra Mode smoothly and if it's a decent desktop in general. Any opinions are appreciated.
Studio XPS 7100
AMD Athlon™ II X4 630 + ATI Radeon HD 5450 1GB
6GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz - 4 DIMMS
500GB - 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache
16X DVD+/-RW Drive -
What goes well with Kinetic Melee for tanks? I was thinking DA/KM. Like to hear a few opinions on my options.
-
Weeeell, feel a lil ripped off so far. The heads are amazing. So much so that the classic monstrous fur you get stuck will looks like crap with em. Guess I'll see what the in-game stuff looks like.
-
Anyone else having to verify all files after purchasing it? Says there's an animation file problem before you can even log in and then it shuts down the game. nothing wrong when I played it earlier.
-
The vast majority of what's in the trailer seems to be previously usable costume pieces. Like the eagle for example which has only a new head and feet. The rest comes from the Valkyrie pack, clockwork bits etc. I think even some of the animal patterns can be used already as well. Even monstrous hands. That leaves heads, tails, and feet. I guess we'll just have to see.
-
The wait is killing! Though cliche I've wanted to make a proper werewolf since I bought the game four years ago. I just couldn't stand the head options. So 60 new costume pieces. Any animal types they haven't shown?
-
It's looking like recharge for me. I've really begun to notice the recharge time on my powers and they're taking a bit to long. Especially on the necessities. Knockout, footstomp, rage, and conserver power.
-
Though I don't find myself needing end all too often anymore cardiac does come with a range and damage increase. While it's hard to resist spiritual due to the added attack rate. I do, only ever so often, find myself waiting on a power or two to pop back up. So would I benefit more from end, damage, and range or attack rate, disorient, and heal for my particular build?
I just don't want to make another mistake as I already have. -
Okay, so maybe I screwed up taking musculature. I don't have any major end problems and I'm at the damage cap. Now that the alphas been out a while what's considered best for an Inv/ss tank?
