imo the ring doodads on B are kind of goofy. A seems more versatile.

I'll be honest: I think this is the only costume part that I'm really invested in. Especially if it has a path aura that turns off when you're stationary (ala jetpack powers). The other pieces I will probably buy because cheesy old space movies are some of my favorite movies. But if I don't get my beringed rocket pack I will be extra sad panda.

Sorry to go against the grain but I'm choosing A. I've been wanting a design like that for ages.
I'm kinda digging A. 
It's not as kiddish looking as the others, imo, and it reminds me of the portal pack fromt he Sky Raiders, which I adore. Nice concepts, can't wait to get my hands on whatever awesome final product is made!
A, it reminds me of the nacelles on the USS Enterprise 8)

You've wanted more control and now you have it.
B. A looks rather like the temp power raptor pack, and sticks out - that'll cause visibility problems in caves. B is more distinctive; C is good too though.

I am not averse to having "B without rings" and "B with rings" though. I am completely willing to compromise on that.

With that being said if the tops on B looked more like C (see below) it would have been a hard choice. Not a fan of the rings.

I need to see it on the back of a normal sized toon. Doesn't have to be full detail, just an outline would be good too.

I have to go with C simply because that thing on your back, well it looks like a friggin missile.
Last year at the very first Freedom Player Summit, we introduced the design a costume set workshop. After our initial pass, and much discussion between the art team and the Community, we've now narrowed down the selections. Now it's back to the Community to help us decide on the final product!
Between now and Thursday, February 9th 2012, you can submit your vote for which pieces we should include in the finished version.
Of course, should anything happen that would change the outcome of the final selection, we'll communicate this to you.
So get out the vote and help us decide our very first Community co-created costume set!
