Wait... I can only kill one out of ten enemies with Titan Weapons, or are you saying I can only get all my enemies to 90% of their health bar?

Just a FYI for all: You don't have to buy Titan Weapons to 'buy' the free Extender Pack. Get the pack now for free and you'll have it for whenever you buy Titan Weapons in the future.

Ah, that makes it better. Though it did not appear to be clearly stated. Or else coffee wasn't strong enough.....

I bought Titan Weapons, and I'm seriously considering the discounted character slots. I don't need them right now, I've got 3 open slots as it is, and 5 of my used slots are level 1s for concepts I haven't taken the time to play yet, but the discount is tempting.

I didnt see the railroad crossing post from the drawings... is that still in there?

Even at 25% off I feel the xp booster is too high priced. At the reduced rate it was sold for during the holiday weekend I bought four of the five packs. If that price was the normal price I'd likely buy them frequently to help level alts. Considering the fact that they only last an hour per use, I don't feel like they need to be as expensive as they are.

At the normal or 25% reduced price I'd rather save points for other things.

I really enjoyed Titan Weapons on Beta and recommend it for anyone who wants to play a character that feels like they're wielding a massive weapon!
Both from a thematic standpoint and from a fun gameplay standpoint, I give this powerset an A+!
I'm glad to see the weapon pack is free! Very nice. Even if it is limited time only, it's still free right now and that's a nice move on their part, since they obviously feel they can and should earn money from it!

Yep. It's one of the default models, and doesn't have to be "purchased" separately.

Eh. I think it's being done the way it is (weapons pack is 0pp right now) because they don't have a way to temporally add it to Titan weapons and their bundle system might not work with powersets/they don't want people
To buy just TW (so far any bundle had the parts available separately) and complain thy didn't see the bundle.

The other easy way might be something they are still testing/don't want to mess with yet and that would be coupon/promo codes. If they had the capability they could of set TW to email you a promo code for a free weapons pack but so far that area is just an unused portion of the store UI

Nice to see a sale on character slots, wasn't discounted enough to warrant me buying more slots, but nice to see.

Interesting pricing trial with the 'slightly' discounted XP boosters. I'm curious how many increased sales that yeilds compared to the massive Black Friday discounted price.

Dangit!

I was feeling pretty confident I'd be able to pass on Titan Weapons until such time as the urge came upon me to create such a character...

Lessee if I need to top off my Paragon Points pool...

Alrighty...

#1) The right hand placement is way off in the costume generator, though annoying take heed that it is far better once in game.

#2) When you first grab this power and run around to test it out please note. With only one attack this powerset at first feels like a bit of a let down in delivery. Animation and Sound FX are cool but there's just no seemingly appropriate damage given the sights and sounds and as advertised animation time and recharge are slow. HOWEVER don't get discouraged. Push through to grab a second attack and go run around again. The ability to do back to back attacks and see the attacks increase in both speed and damage is when things start to feel right.

#3) Had to hunt down the free weapon pack at first but before jumping on the forum they had already added it to the front of the market (had to hunt for it before). Remember you have to add it to your cart like a new product (you dont auto get it with the powerset product).

#4) So I'm a bit confused is there no longer a distinction between Smashing and Edged damage? With blunt objects and blades (visually) in the exact same set what kind of damage are we dealing?

#5) I was glad to see that this powerset is not available for Stalkers. I'm always excited to know someone is thinking on a higher "themes that make sense" level like this instead of just blindly throwing things wherever to fill space.

#6) To coin a phrase "COLOSSAL" let down for me as far as weapon choices of course. Especially with the freebie weapon pack I thought for sure there would be some simplistic, under-stylized, basic weapon choices to fit a far broader range of character concepts. As it stands now only the Minotaur Axe can pass as a non anime or non silly (garage board, railroad post, etc) weapon... but even it still has completely unnecessary afterburner jets spewing out the back of it. Limiting. If you are more of a purist like me and were thinking you could build characters that use normal, albeit giant-sized, weapons of any sort - I'd steer clear and stick with current weapon sets. As mentioned the Axe is passable though if you have an idea rooted in that (a non-anime non-tech executioner for example). (but don't get too excited I already grabbed all the "good" names along these lines)

#7) Take note Dev's... This would be the perfect time to finally introduce "Choose A New Powerset Respecs". I have several toons that are advanced in level with War Mace and/or Battle Axe. These toons have all the exact badges, unlockable costume pieces and IO's that I grinded for. The ability to simply switch to a new larger weapon in the same vein, and see my slaved over slotted toon performing a few new animations to boot, is easily worth 1000 pts or more to me. I know I'm not alone and I'm glad Positron more or less hinted it was at least on the table a few coffee talks ago.

In summary this isn't my cup of tea from a conceptual level. I'm not a child of Anime and this mostly doesn't make sense for any character theme I would create and invest time and money in. However I think it will do well in the Asian market and with a lot of the F2Pers so I can't fault anyone.

However if you would have included just a basic "oversized" regular good old fashioned sword, axe, and mace I could have forced this to work with a few of my back-burnered concepts, or re-rolled my low level axe, mace and broadsword wielders, and would have been far more apt to run it in game - and more apt to purchase the set on my other accounts.

Until then I'll personally hold off for Staff Fighting and look hopefully to the future for the next TW "weapon pack" to fill these gaps and make the weapon choices have more universal appeal/use.

How come today's patch notes don't mention any of this? In particular Signature Story Arc episode 4?

NOR-RAD - 50 Rad/Rad/Elec Defender - Nikki Stryker - 50 DM/SR/Weap Scrapper - Iron Marauder - 50 Eng/Eng/Pow Blaster
Lion of Might - 50 SS/Inv/Eng Tanker - Darling Nikkee - 50 (+3) StJ/WP/Eng Brute - Ice Giant Kurg - 36 Ice/Storm Controller

I'm seriously thinking about passing on this one. Especially with an 800 point price tag. Do the weapons look any less ridiculous with a larger character types?

Are you SURE it's such a good idea to have this sale last only a couple weeks when you *KNOW* already that Paragon Points are not awarding in a timely fashion every month for VIPs when they should be? I'm thinking that extending this sale to the end of the month, so as to make sure as many VIPs as possible can take advantage of it, would be a wiser move.

It's the end. But the moment has been prepared for ...

You don't actually have to purchase the Titan Weapons set to get the Weapons Pack for free. It's currently on the store for 0 points.
