So when are the Tier 9 VIP items going to change? And is there any ETA on an actual fix or realistic timetable for awarding of Points and Tokens?
I'm seriously thinking about passing on this one. Especially with an 800 point price tag. Do the weapons look any less ridiculous with a larger character types?

Again I'm just saying one of the weapon choices could have been more generic (although one of each type even better) for maximum theme penetration. (...) |
Not everyone has as much time to play as the rest of us
Anyhow, as to actual feedback...I really like Titan Weapons! Like Super Strength and Stone Melee, it makes one feel really mighty It's quite fun whacking around your oponents
I've a single niggle; though I like the shape of the Purgatory Sword, the scrolling is a bit too much - I'd prefer a non-scrolling version, too.
As mentioned the Axe is passable though if you have an idea rooted in that (a non-anime non-tech executioner for example). (but don't get too excited I already grabbed all the "good" names along these lines)[/b]

Also the powerset is called TITAN weapons for a reason, "slightly oversized" weapons wouldn't exactly be much fun and is partially already in the game (have you seen the size of the legacy broadsword?) Although joking aside I do agree a couple of the weapons do look silly some others (such as the concrete block) could offer plenty of creative ideas.
@SkullFester
I'm not changing this signature until I'm proclaimed 'King of the World'.
My question is what kind of boots is the demonic axe wielding dude using in the screen shots? I can't find those boots in the character creator and they look awesome..
They look like the Celestial boots, to me
If there's any glaring omission from the weapon models, it's the classic Looney Tunes ACME wooden mallet. Especially odd since Carnies strongmen have been using them since forever.
FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
What a ridiculous statement to make, you obviously underestimate the creative power of your fellow gamers!

I do like the new animations and I get the concept, but at least "one" weapon that isn't from outer space japan - or looney tunes - would have increased its universal appeal a hundred fold.
Oh, another random thing, less about the featured items and more just a general gripe about pricing. 800 points to rename one character? Yeesh. Seriously, there is no reason this should be this expensive. There should not be enough gears turning, levers being pulled, and springs needing oiled to warrant a $10 price tag for something so small. If there IS a reason, quite frankly you should be ashamed of yourselves. I say that as one game dev to another.
Guess I'll tough out having my main that I haven't played in years stuck with a name I used to like but now kind of don't like as much. It doesn't bug me enough to warrant dropping Hamilton to fix it. it's the one thing bugging me about bringing him out of retirement after all this time to try out the Incaranate stuff.

Arc#314490: Zombie Ninja Pirates!
Defiant @Grouchybeast
Death is part of my attack chain.
You can use two free server transfers to rename the character, as moving to a server where the name is already in use forces a free rename. (Or you can use one transfer, if you don't mind the character staying on another server, but most people use two so they can get it back home afterwards.)
|
They only have a limited amount of weapons choices simple because they're gonna make more and thus ask you to spend more money/points to get them.
Many of the items on the market are overpriced. Just look at the dog... people complained about that being way too much. The fact that you have to pay for a powerset and then pay extra for the weapons (( after the sale ends)) just adds on to that fact.
Really powersets don't even have any business being in the Paragon Market for VIPs, they should just be included with the subscription we already pay them. (( and no.. getting 400 points a month for being VIP doesn't mean you get powersets for free. ))
And I don't believe they listen to any of the players critiques anyway, the dog is still the same price, the women are still objectified in the Gunslinger pack, etc. So it makes me even wonder what's even the point of posting critiques.

$10 for a rename seems to be standard. It is the cost for renaming gamertags on Xbox Live for instance. And yes, people waste that much money on it. I've got a relative that's changed his GT at least six times now.
|
Also, a lower price would make it more of an impulse buy. At $10 I can't justify renaming the one character I REALLY want to rename. At $5 I could, and probably could justify renaming some other toons that I have better names for these days. At $2 I would probably end up renaming half my characters over the course of a month. I don't figure I'm the "average" case though.
Ideally, what I'd like to see, is that the server transfer tokens VIP users get become a general use token that could be redeemed for a server transfer or a rename. That'd be rad and more useful to me.
Squeee..Eradications and Obliterations, and Numina all on sale in the Paragon Market...the hard to get, hellishly expensive, Eradication and Obliteration pieces are within my grasp.....faints.
So don't wait for heroes, do it yourself

I am suddenly delighted that I have Paragon Points waiting to be spent. I'll be that much closer to finishing my expensive build!
If they would have fleshed out even just one simple OVERSIZED regular old medieval style sword it would have stretched so much further across the character concept gene pool into things like non-anime black knights, bulky barbarians, ogres, half giants, mythological gods, Amazon Women from Mars etc, etc... but it's very niche as is... an odd mixture of tech modern and abandoned construction site to be exact.
Classic fear of less is more or anti-minimalist design standards at play I suppose. Again I'm just saying one of the weapon choices could have been more generic (although one of each type even better) for maximum theme penetration.
As I also said it will be great for some - but its an aesthetically specific set to be sure.
