One that we didn't get that we really want and would be willing to trade for, is Pentagram.

How the balls did you manage such an impressive list with Exalted running slow as poo those first few hours? Seriously, I managed to get my friend 6 of the 8 he really wanted, and the one of mine that I really wanted, but that's an IMPRESSIVE list. Kudos to you sir.

I got a few names that I wanted,thankfully,some of them were still available on my home server of Freedom too but its nice I was able to get them on the new server.

Even with 2 people and multiple accounts, _Force_ would, IMO, have to have more than 2 computers capable of laughing at lag to get all those names so quickly. Granted, a good chunk of those names likely had no one else going for them. Still, an impressive achievement.

And unless I'm mistaken, _Force_ did manage to negotiate with the person who'd taken Force and thus acquire it. Good on ya, cobber!

Oh, and a reread of my earlier thread about my most coveted name makes it seem like I was being coy. Nothing like that! The names I acquired, and will happily use, are as follows:

For you old fogeys like me, yes, that name was taken from the 1967 song of the same name, by The Classics IV. I've always thought it a perfect fight for darkness powers.

I am willing to talk, via PM, to anyone who wants a name from the first list o' names above. While I do want them and have plans for them, I can see how someone else might have a long-burning need for them.

Hanging around Exalted Atlas Park on Day One people-watching and looking at the lists here is an interesting study in what people consider a "good name" versus counter-examples in various thread. Admittedly a tiny sample size but we're not doing hard science here, either.

I havent had any problems getting most of the names I wanted, despite the quick logs I kept seeing in the Galaxy City battle. Wife has gotten most of hers too, so we are happy with what we got. I'm sure they'll be more I wont get, can only log in late during the week, so downtime is actually helping with that

Got the one I really wanted: Fire in the Sky.

Also got Valley Kitten and Bane Spider Ricki, but, yeah, it wasn't as if those would be in high demand.

I got the Ancient Greek Goddesses name that i wanted. I'm still impressed that i manage to get them, because those are the first in high demand, since they are high deities. I can't complaint at anything and I'm very happy with the names i got in Exalted.

All of the Greek Mythology characters are based on their original ancient Greek writings, which are totally public domain. As for Dwarf, she is based on a City of Heroes concept which are the Nictus. I want her to be a Red Side Warshade.

After clicking on the servers for hours, having trouble logging in, and then sitting in the queue I missed out on the two names I wanted most:

Moonlighter (my global) and Halloween Jack.

I got some other names I didn't want as badly. I really wanted to get my global name, however, and was frustrated that the server extension pushed the live so long that I spent almost 5 hours watching the forums and occasionally clicking the server list to make sure I got it only to have it taken.

I can't complain. I managed to get two names I wanted: Maiden America, and Maiden Praetoria

The names that I got were Peacemaker, Sands, and Heavy Artillery

I didn't get Kai, but I'm not terribly worried about it since I don't see myself playing on Exalted *that* much.

I snagged Kaji.

Yep, that's pretty much it. I would have liked Corona, but I'll take Coronna.

I got some good names. I did not bother to protect either the name Organica or the name Mouse Police, not interested in having more clones of those. But my global, Shinobu, I grabbed. I don't have that name on any other server besides Pinnacle where the original Shinobu began.

Somehow, the server I picked 4 years ago was the ONLY server that had my Global name free - I got Roderick on Victory, but it was taken on every other server. This worked well for me, because Victory quickly became my home, and I very rarely stray from it. Exalted now makes two servers that I have that name on.

Just now I snagged the first name I ever tried for on Victory that was taken before I got there: Sharp Dressed Man.

I got the 2 names I REALLLLLY wanted which was Aport and Justice Guardian (not sure which will be my main)

I finally got the names of two characters I created as a kid, Magicman (who I had to misspell on other servers), and Brainstormer (who I had to make Psystormer on other servers). Yaaaaaaaa!!

Sadly, got there too late for any of the good names I had thought up for my Grav/Time 'troller.

That's all the characters I've made there so far. Probably by the time I figure out my concept for a beam rifle character my first pick of names will be gone, but, oh well, I'm not going to name squat.

As a bit of a side story to the exalted name grabbing.
A certain player named a toon after my global name on exalted. I would assume so I can't make it there?
Using the getglobalname command I recognized this players global, so I know it was intentional.
The hilarious part of this is, I don't even have a toon named for my global name!
Someone is trying way too hard! :P
