The new event overview page on the main site is very well done. I was quite surprised. Well played!

OK, I find this really annoying, but so far today I have only been able to play for about one hour. I wanted to play for several hours, but in that one hour of play time I got "Mapserver'd" three times. Also, I was on a full team for about 40 minutes of that time and at least one person was being "Mapserver'd" at all times.

Is anyone else seeing this problem or is it a Guardian Server problem?

I must really suck. I have not been able to defeat a single banner guardian creature with my scrapper.

With needing to wear a Halloween cotume to get the new Tip, I've realized a drawback with the realism of the game - although it is realistic that men are more likely than women to join gangs, become mad scientists or summon dark gods, it does mean that there are very few suitable Halloween costumes for girls to wear

Enjoying the new tip mission. My one beef is that the drop rate seems a bit on the low side if someone (like myself) feels the compulsion to badge an entire stable of characters. Did some timed tests today.

On a full to near full team, took about 1.5 hours to get all the badges on one character. Solo it's taking about 2-2.5 hours and this is with playing knock-knock-runaway. The speed bump in both cases is the odd drop rate. And I can confirm no invisible cool down as on my solo run I got lucky with a tip on the first knock AFTER completing a Halloween tip mission.

On the plus side, Halloween salvage dropping from defeating tricks. The spawn curve makes more sense. As does spawn consolidation with multiple nearby doors all coming out of one door instead of six different doors. All very nice bits of polish. Costume and salvage rate seems quite good too! (Though I've not gotten nor seen any of the rumored "new" costumes added to this years bevy of temporary costume powers.)

All in all, B+ from me devs. I'm enjoying myself thoroughly this far. Though in six days I may loathe the tip mission as much as I do Snaptooth!

I am immensely irritated that the costume powers de-toggle my stealth powers (except Hide). The slotted-up Shadow Fall on my fender would make it much easier to cope with all the NEnergy damage-dealing ToT beasties. Guess I need a ToT team for her.

I don't recall it working that way previously, but I guess it's never been important before.

Can I just say, I absolutely LOVE the enemies' random dialogue in the Halloween tip mission? I nearly got myself killed because I was laughing and didn't see the next mob come wandering into aggro radius.

Which of the devs wrote this one?

I've noticed something besides being "Mapserver'd" three times in an hour. There is some really strange lag going on. I've never seen it before but, I will hit a power and about 10 seconds later it goes off. If I was on a full team on a full server, that might be understandable, but I wasn't.

Is there a special place in Praet to turn in the costume salvage or do we just wait till we leave?

Logged back in, rechecked things then went and got the rest of the badges. Only lingering bug appears to be the artwork on the Power Hungry badge showing as a little white square. No big deal since the main thing is that the badge rewards.

The events page shows the Banner badges as part of Halloween 2009 badges...
Are they still available this year?

I'd guess it a backwards step to remove the badges whilst keeping the banners in-game, so I imagine that they're probably still available, but would like to check since I missed these last year.
