One other thing, I like the new gladiator shoulder pad EXCEPT the texture. It doesn't go well with my sleek costumes. Please either bring back the old one or at least give us a sleek texture (or metallic even) for the new one. Also, I think someone else mentioned this but, shouldn't the gladiator pad be on the other shoulder for a right-handed fighter? (i.e. to protect the shoulder and neck above the gladiator's shield.)

Oh, and I totally agree and bringing back the old thigh high boots.
Unfortunately the tech available to players won't cut it for most of that costume. The loincloth falls under the forbidden-to-players Two Cape Systems rule (it has both front and back), and the top and gloves each have three colors (white, green, and skin) which would mean that one of those colors would have to either be nixed or made non-customizable. However, the boots, non-loinclothed belt, and chest detail brooch thing would all work fine, and I would dearly love to have them.

OK First off, great Party at the NY Meet and Greet, OK so When I was going to Fine Art School I enjoy face mask's form Africa and other Cultures like in Italy and French, And i would paint them and wrap people faces to look like full Face mask's. I would like to see more culturally mask in the game form Tribal Mask's to Theater mask's. Those Face Mask's form the Banish Pantheon and Carnies would be a good add on in the Costume Options as well.

Helmets.

Full helmets to be precise. No, not the helmets themselves...

The options.

The new super booster added the bio-armor horns in, this is good. However... That's the first new part since I5.

Helmets are currently separated into three parts.

Detail 1: 12 parts, Mostly items that stick onto the side of the head with the exception of five that stick onto the forehead/top

Detail 2: 31 parts. One sticks on forehead (Antennae) Two stick to the side (Wings), Horns stick to top of the head while the rest are eye options.

Detail 3: 6 parts. All go around the mouth. (The lowest number of parts for any head option baring beast, no logical reason why there are so few when there are 20+ options that can go there)

Medieval helm only have one option. It has 28 parts. All horns.

These are very (As pointed out) sparely decorated. While lots of 'ear like' parts (Sat-Com, side scoops, etc.) there isn't anywhere to put them that doesn't take up a 'slot' so to speak. A nicer way to do it might be:

Upper: (Horns, parts that rest on top of the helmet/forehead)

Eyes: (Goggles, visors, eye pieces.)

Lower: (Breathers, mouth parts.)

Sides: (Sat-com, wings, ear pieces.)

Where the other options for the head (Barring beast, for being beasty) have so many options, it's strange that full helmets are missing so, so much and have been looked over being updated these parts as time's gone on.
This, Easily. I need more helms, and or parts. There are plenty of helms options that I can see being available, history has tons of em. I understand that this is City of HEROES but that doesn't me we don't have a few helm toting heroes out there. Thanks for asking.

I was wrong about who had which Skull belts with Jackets. Here's a complete list.

Under Jackets:

  • Huge body types have Fanged Skull Belt, Lone Skull Belt and Small Skull Belt.
  • Female body types have Fanged Skull Belt and Small Skull Belt.
  • Males have none of the above.

Please let Male body types have the Fanged skull and Small Skull Belt types under Jackets and Jackets w/o sleeves.

If feasible allow both Female and Male body types to have the Lone Skull Belt as well just as the Huge body types do.

I really want to be able to add some new costume bits like firefly aura, skull brooches, etc. to Mister Halloween but can't due to losing the belt.

They were taken out so my character can't ever go back to the Tailor if I don't want to lose his belt. In this particular case I love to use it as a skull belt buckle! It's reverse of the other problem - Female toons still have this option. Male and Huge do not.

I know the gladiator shoulder piece was mentioned a couple of times but what would be awesome is being able to swap the shoulders of the shoulder piece. Call it gladiator - left and gladiator - right.
Why stop there? Why not have an option for both large shoulders on and both small shoulders on?

After the CoV expansion, some players complained that the "villain faces" were duplicates of the "hero faces." Those players were wrong. They are, in fact, darker, sharper, frownier, more villainous looking versions of the original human faces. It takes a sharp eye, but close examination reveals that not one is an exact duplicate.

Nonetheless, the original human faces are disabled, so the only way to have an original human hero face is to have it grandfathered in and never visit the tailor.

If so this would be the highest priority to me, because that is why I only use a few of them.
The closest to the old Face 1 is the current Face 7; the old face had a slightly brown hue in the dark areas.

Here's a screenshot of the original male face (sorry it's not zoomed-in).

Also, if it hasn't been changed since I last checked, it seems male VEATs are assigned the old Face 1 as a default when unlocking new costume slots.

Also, didn't females have nipples at one time? Pretty sure they do in real life.
They still do, sort of, but it's only noticeable on various graphic settings and specific colour tights.

One NPC which I recall who erm, appears to be feeling the cold, is Countess Crey... next time you're in a mission with her, use stealth to sneak up on her... or alternatively, find her in AE, haha.

The preset for female sport uses a head detail "mask 1". This mask isn't avable if you go to change it.

The "V" belt for females was changed years ago (after being as-is for 2-3 years). Originally, it was not straight across the back, at all, but actually V shaped (unlike the front). I have always been sad about that belt since they changed it.

I'd like to second a revisit of many of the "masks" options so that they don't cover the lower jaw from throat to chin. I know there was some sort of wrap problem with there being a "spike" looking stripe in that area before, but maybe someone there now is more capable of fixing it without just covering the whole area. I can dig up some screenies (or give in-game showings) if needed. I still have characters with their old masks.

Also seconded on the non-shiny metallics brought back, sleek to masks and "with skin" parts (which is technically new. Sorry)... and shiny added as an option to the various wristbands! Well, now I got all demandy.

We've been asking for jetpacks since beta... I'd say the 6 or whatever years shows we "really" want them. lol (and why BAB determined our pleas meant we actually wanted to pay monthly for a jetpack temp power I have no idea...)

The nipple issue depended a lot on the lighting and color choices, imo. You can still see it often on the afro-girl statue in Atlas most often (and Countess Crey as mentioned earlier is a major sinner) but I think it was really just the shape of the polygon join back then. As seen here.

Oh, I'd also like this back during Rikti invasions....

Here's a couple idea's for reasonable unlocks:
1. Synapse Task Force: IIRC Blue Steel's "responsible" for the King being a brainbucket

2. Running Lvl 20 - 25 Faultline Arcs: He's throughly ingrained into the origins.

The female Small Padded Glove used to be missing a pad on one hand. Could we have that back please please please?

The past versions of the V Belt!

There were two other versions of it before (at least as I recall). The original, then a thicker one (which I loved, and I believe it was made thicker at the time for clipping issues), and then the one we have now.

Syndicate design for pants on females! I want it back for my character! Please!

This thread's been going for a while. Have any of the suggestions back from the start been re-implemented yet?

Nope. No idea if any will ever actually be implemented, to be honest.

At this point I imagine David and co. are doing the hard graft of actually converting these pieces for PC use. I doubt they'd go to the trouble of asking us what we wanted only to turn around and not do it.

Considering some of these pieces were already in game and given to players at some point...

It's not so much that, but wether or not they kept the original costume files of parts that have got lost.

That may sound mind-achingly obvious, but it's been done once already. On the Reichsman SF, when you go to Column-Earth. Ever wondered why you are actually fighting Council Empire soldiers, not 5th? Well, the '5th Column Empire' soldiers did exist before the 5th got vanished...and some bright spark thought it would be ok to delete the 5th Earth files. Including all the mob-types. So, they got lost to oblivion, and no ones bothered to fix that mission since.

Fortunately (or maybe not, they could have made them higher res if they hadn't) they kept the 5th files, meaning that the mobs could be brought back en masse when needed. Sadly, as I said, they are still the 7 year old, low rez models. I noticed it most when fighting Council after an ITF. The Wolfpack robots are texturally and graphically inferior to the Council's Zenith Warcry bots.

The wiki doesn't have a fair comparison, which is a shame. But it's visible in-game as is.

Ye GODS Warden! Where did you find them?! I've been looking everywhere for those old Rikti pics! I couldn't for the life of me remember what the old ones looked like. Kinda glad I forgot, t'be honest...their upgrade was a much needed one.

But yeah, the Wolfpack bots really need some spit, polish and heavy graft engineering to bring them up to standard. As do the Council and 5th Column troopers themselves. They are looking incredibly low-rez these days.
