take your attitude somewhere else please. you mis-read what you were getting back when you did your respec. not only that, but if you had stuff you wanted to keep, you should have. the levels of an io(generic or set) do not really matter after 30. so i suggest you sit down, shut up and learn about how things work before doing them.

Approx 96 slots on a L50 character. Plus 10 "inventory."
If you had a level 50 (normal) set IO in every slot you'd get back approximately 500K per
= 53 million inf. There is no way I'm aware of to get more than that.

If you had a level 50 SO in every slot you'd get back about 5.5 million.

Simplest explanation is, you misread a zero.

DO you have about 16 million inf?

This is an example of what happens when AE babies are allowed to do a respec without adult supervision.

This is as funny as the guy in the Rude Tells thread that mistook the NPC allies Nosferatu and Burkholder for real players in his mission and complained that they joined his team without permission, ignored him in chat, and got the team wiped.

Edit: Also after seeing the OP's poor writing skills . . . I.E. spelling and grammar . . . I'm not surprised he has trouble reading large numbers. All those commas can get so confusing.

It seems to me the OP knew he never had 168 million on the character in question, and when he misread the amount he'd get for selling the enhancements during the respec he fell prey to his own greed and assumed the game was making an error in his favor. So he jumped at the chance to sell them without double checking to see if the number he thought he saw was right. As soon as the respec was over he went to check his windfall and lo and behold he found that he screwed himself over.

Of course the real people at fault are the devs. The OP can't accept responsibilityfor his own actions.

That was me... I was not mistaken about the AI. I've played this game a lot and know how it works, it just reminded me strongly of a few PUGs I've been on and their behavior. It was a joke that surprisingly few people caught.

At least the OP spelled "off" correctly.

Aww ... sorry I missed reading that. And, sadly, there have been a lot of people who are really quite clueless about the game, yet somehow have fairly high level characters (particularly since the advent of AE)... And enough of them have displayed extreme indignance about things that many of us find to be basic knowledge about the game... explaining how folks took your post seriously.

Even if OP thought they were gonna get this windfall, they'd be doing it at the loss of all their enhancements...which would then need to be replaced, costing more than the windfall, so what's the point?

Tell you what... I'll get a level 3 dominator on any US server and put it alongside your level 50 dominator and we can attack similar targets. You will do more damage, have more attack powers, more defences, and will out preform a level 3 character in all respects. Even if the level 3 is slotted with level 6 enhancements.

You know I had a similar experience with my i17 respec but I did not complete the process.
Long story short, as I was down to my last 20 or so enhancements I am 99.9% sure I was missing some of my Touch of Death enhancements!

Once I realized they had magically disappeared I quit the respec process.

The possibility does exist though that my eyesight had momentarily failed me and I wasn't able to notice the enhancements there.

I feel in my heart the enhancements had disappeared somehow but sometimes the heart is mistaken ;-*(

Im telling u that I had a bunch of really expensive sets.. orange lettered special sets. that were mixed up and slotted like sorrocco ( of course wrong spelling). all the Mako bite stuff. Orange handcuff looking enhancements. every thing i had was some type of special enhancement.. Did u ever see the purple enhancement that u can only use as 1 slot. I think its for a pet. check the black market. some of things cost 50 million a pop. this was one of my early toons that i used and didnt know what half the stuff meant was just trying to get bigger overall bonuses.. 168 million at least i should of gotten back... go to the black market recipes for enhancements are very very expensive. 50 SO's are for rookies...

Black market prices are not the cost of creating the enhancement. Sorry.

I see, you were reverse hack jerked.

The price on the black market for the enhancement has nothing to do with the amount of inf you get for it during a respec.

Read that, read the bold part repeatedly until you understand what you did.

Lets assume that you have the most expensive possible enhancement slotted in every slot you have, these have a crafting cost of 600,000 (there are none that I can find that have a higher crafting cost than that). 94 slots total (including sprint, brawl, and rest) x 600,000/2 = 28.2mil Note that it is impossible, or so close to impossible that it can reasonably stated that it is impossible, to have a build this expensive.

Based on that, I'm assuming that you didn't have nearly as awesome of a build as you believed you had, making 16 million a much more realistic number.

Edited to correct math.

If this is true (and I have no idea one way or another if it is or not), then my main with his 99 slots (yes, I just counted them) would get back the grand total of... 22,502,700 inf on selling back all his L50 IOs. Methinks OP may have misread something. Badly.

Misreading != an error on the developers' part.

Why would anyone sell back rare set IOs anyway? That's what baffles me.

Guess I shouldn't tell him that I have lost that much bidding on recipes at the market and added an extra zero to the stack I wanted.

Can I blame the dev's for that?
