I think they said they are refunding anything after August 30th for subscription fees. I got mine this week.

Could you possibly have chosen a patron already? Check your contact list and see if any of the patrons show up there. The dialog he's giving you is what he says when he is an inactive contact after you have done the patron choice. As the others have said, the only other reason is too many open arcs. I read in another thread that if you don't do the personal missions in the DA arcs, they will count as open and can clog up the works.

What level are you? Night Ward opens at 30, you'll get an pop-up for the new contacts then. Vanessa doesn't introduce you to anyone, she's the last contact in the First Ward chain.

Last night on Triumph we did a number of runs and took him down every time. One thing that worked well was the league leader calling out "Lights" with about 5 seconds left on the countdown. That got people to the light spawn points and took them out as the appeared. Other than that, it was a pretty straightforward fight.

Yup, just go to Ouro and run the arcs that he lists as incomplete. I ran into the same issue when he was added to the game. For Max's arc, you just need to run his final mission.

Texas Justice beat me to it, so I'll agree with him. When the game was paid subscription only, they would include new powersets in expansions ( like Going Rogue). They would also release powersets as part of the free issues. With Freedom, there is a lot more flexibility now. The devs can release new content when it's ready, not just as part of expansions or issues. Some of that content is paid, some is free (for VIPs). The players have the option of whether they want to buy the content or not. If they have enough Paragon Points built up from the monthly stipend, then it would be "free." Otherwise, it's a choice to buy the set or wait.

Origin does matter when it comes to which Yin SO you can use.

As far as the RWZ arcs go...if you fail the mission, the collaborative complete doesn't apply to teammates because it's only for successful mission completions.

Triumph is down too...

If you stand on the spot and /bug it in game, the coordinates will be sent along with your bug report. That way QA can research the spot and see what's going on with it.

I liked the movie. I also liked that we finally got the Sylar vs Peter Petrelli fight we've been waiting for.

Other things to consider...were either of you under an XP booster? Or did you have Patrol XP? Or debt?
