NCSoft's rediculous new FB Banner Slogan

"To create a new world where happiness connects all people"

It's not that ridiculous, it's part of their mission statement. Anyways it's a goal not a mandate. If they can make more people happy than the ones they made unhappy here, they're ahead of the game.

You'd be surprised at how many people try to live forever.

Although, I havent met anyone successful at it just yet.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't want to live forever. Immortality just sounds exhausting.

I don't really plan on living through my 50s, though I guess we'll see how I feel about that in another 20 years.

There is no "e" in "ridiculous," just FYI.

I would be fine with immortality... so long as it locks me into the relative health/age of being about 25. Since I am mostly an introvert, I am okay with outliving the folks I know... forever. I can just relocate and meet new people.

60-65 sounds long enough for me. After 65, I'll find a way to go out wit h bang whether it's from a heart attack while skydiving, or buying the farm while climbing Mt Everest.

Surprisingly, as you get closer to 65, it doesn't look nearly so awful, despite things starting to wear out physically. I've already got a bionic knee, which works great, and am really really looking forward to retirement in just a couple more years, and no more getting up at 7 am unless I darn well feel like it, huzzah.

Also, I'm personally shooting for living well into my 90's, if not 100! And continuing to play MMO's all the way.

As I get older, I see more and more folks in the 70's living happy and sometimes productive lives. Most of our Supreme Court Justices are well over 70.

Besides, as you get older you get to say, "See, I told you so!" more often.

LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)

For me, I have more faith in Chris Roberts Star Citizen. I pledged there.
2 million dollars was the minimum to start the project, 4 was the desired goal, 5 million was a hope and 6 million was a dream.
They got 6 mill and still counting!
I'm exited and exstatic for the possibility to once again play a Chris Roberts game.
(If the game names of Wing Commander, Privateer and Freelancer brings any memories.)

they hit the 6 mil mark?????? wow, very excited about that! last i checked they were barely over a mil and i was pessimistic about their chances. it will be awhile before this sees the light of day, but something to look forward to is always nice.

Oh yeah, that was the time that girl got her whatchamacallit stuck in that guys dooblickitz and then what his name did that thing with the lizards and it cleared right up.

screw your joke, i want "FREEM"

Yea they did.
I kept checking each day and as we did get closer and closer to the "end" of the pledgetime it was crazy. Each hour was around 20k++
It got so crazy that a lot of pledgers was unable to pledge and the team extended the period so they should not be left out.
(So still possible to pledge)

Never thought I'd be there when they pull the lights out... Oh well, with all the doom and gloom against corporations, the Star Citizen project is a light in the darkness.

Added my little contribution as well.

I think you forgot the other half of the slogan, guys, the one after "To create a new world where happiness connects all people". It's missing "and then destroy it because happiness is strange and scary."
