Job: Horse Groomer/Pony Tamer
Loc: Log out near Ms. Liberty.
---------------
Grants a chat window icon so whenever you type in chat a unicorn graphic pops up showing how flaming [censored] you've become .

Come on, we all know that Ms. Liberty is a closet fan girl. Anime up the wazoo, a few SailorMoon costumes and her bed covered in plushies. Ya, she rolls like that. That's HOT.

Playing Dead: Logging out pretty much anywhere while your hero is still KOed/dead.

//it amuses me when I log in and have a character fall flat on their face first thing because I was too lazy to send myself to hospital before I last logged them out. Give me a badge for this bad habit.

Consolidated Day Job Status Page

If you have a lot of different heroes, each gaining credit on different day jobs, something that would be mighty handy is a data screen on the login page which shows earned day job credit for each job, for each hero. That way, you would know at a glance which of your toons needs to be logged in in order to get played or to relocate to a different day job. The status of each could color-coded to make it even easier... going from red to orange, yellow, green, and finally blue if it's "maxed out".

I used to do that sometimes.. but there was a nasty bug once that locked out characters who'd logged out dead, preventing you from logging into them.

They took care of it pretty quick, and I doubt it'd happen again- but just the idea made me a bit nervious about 'playing dead..'

Fun idea- although I'm sure if implemented, people would complain about this one left and right.. "Wah, now I HAVE to die at the end of every eight hour session so I can get it as soon as possible because I'm entitled to evrey badge that exists!"

Or maybe I'm overreacting.. who knows or cares?

Still hate the visit Winscott mission- make it dropable, have it give actual exp or remove it altogether. PS- Down knows who you are.

Trophy Collector: Log out in any basketball court and any kills you make that add towards a "defeat" badge are doubled.

Meaning, if i clear out a mob of 8 skulls, than the badge count applies 16. Oh yeah, couldnt really think of a good place to log out for it, any better suggestions?

...And of course, this'd be great for badge hunters whom often have difficulty trying to find sparce mobs.

Are there any basketball courts in the Rogue Isles?
Also, idea for a Day Job accolade.

Badge Title: Fightmaster(named for Staff Sergeant Max Fightmaster)
Requirements: Cimeroran(in Cimerora) and Vanguard Recruit(Vanguard base)
Power Name: Ultimate Attack™
Description: By studying once-lost fighting techniques in Cimerora and the modern tactics of Vanguard, you have attained the skill to unleash your full strength in one decisive strike. Logging out in Cimerora or the Vanguard Base for 7 days will grant you access to your Ultimate Attack™ that devastates your foes. However, its destructive power is such that you may only do this once per episode.

This Ultimate Attack™ would differ depending on your primary power set(except for on Defenders and Tankers, where it would depend on their secondary). For instance, Fiery Melee characters would get Greatest Fire Sword[Short-Ranged(Cone), ULTIMATE damage(Fire/Lethal), DoT(Fire), Foe -Resistance], while Energy Melee characters would get Fist of an Angry God[Melee(AoE), ULTIMATE damage(Energy/Smashing), Foe Disorient, chance for Immobilize]

Please note that you would not be able to fell a Giant Monster, Arch-Villain or Hero by using Ultimate Attack™ as an alpha strike.

Not suggestions for new jobs really, just suggestions for the ones we already have.

1) Mortician Badge -- given the number of tombstones around Croatoa, it makes little sense that there's not at least one Mortitian-qualifying cemetery there. Heck, the entire zone of DA counts, but nowhere in Croatoa? That's just... odd.

2) I think the accolade powers for Physician (Prof + Caregiver, giving you a revive ally) and Alchemist (Midnighter + Caregiver, giving you an ally heal) should be swapped. My reasoning: right now, doctors bring the dead back to life, while alchemists just help them get over small illnesses. Seems more logical the other way around. Go to college and work at a hospital, and you too can heal people who haven't died yet. But work at a hospital and learn some magic on the side, and maybe you can conquer death itself. The use of the more empathic animation for heal while using the the tricorder with revive ally makes me think it's working as intended, but still, it makes more sense to me if Physicians could heal while Alchemists could revive the dead (well... the "mostly dead," anyway).

Maybe they're going by how it works in the real world, where New Age nonsense like alchemy and homeopathic potions aren't NEARLY as effective as modern medicine.

Ok, I can kinda see that, but then I remember we have a magic origin available for characters.

So what, magic beats everything? I think we might want to avoid that kind of plot device.

Not saying magic beats everything. But generally in most fiction magic can do things that science cant. Bringing things back from the dead, or in the case of this game as close to dead as we can get.

All great idea's... it is about time the dayjob system gets a small (or huge) update.

But it will be easier to implement this if we could actually enter more buildings. Throughout the zones there are comic shops, donut bars, supermarkets, news building, bars all inaccesable.

There should also be some real necisary building added like schools...

And why can't I enter the Cinema... or the Broadway show? Open these up so we can have rp inside... dayjob badges... and rotate the boards once in a while. Especially the cinema is a great place to advertize the latest movies.

- The Italian Job: The Godfather Returns #1151
Beginner - Encounter a renewed age for the Mook and the Family when Emile Marcone escapes from the Zig!
- Along Came a... Bug!? #528482
Average - A new race of aliens arrives on Earth. And Vanguard has you investigate them!
- The Court of the Blood Countess: The Rise of the Blood Countess #3805
Advanced - Go back in time and witness the birth of a vampire. Follow her to key moments in her life in order to stop her! A story of intrigue, drama and horror! Blood & Violence... not recommend to solo!

I like the DJ, Rockstar, and Pla-boy ideas, although the latter would be a little dubious.

Firefighter already exists as a badge, so I don't see that becoming a day job as well, especially since the fire calls in Steel Canyon go to random areas and there isn't a fixed place for you to be to get one. But I DO have a workaround for this.

Here are some of my ideas based on those suggestions:

DeeJay - if you hang around DJ Zero long enough in Pocket D (that's being up on the platworm with the giant speaker) then you become a DeeJay in your own right.

Rockstar - Get the DeeJay and Clubber badge

Celebutant - Get the DeeJay and Duelist badge (little easier to sell than Pla-boy)

Crisis Manager - Firefighter badge with Police Chief acolade - this would actually be something of a level 2 acolade, which would be a really good way to incorporate day job badges with achievment badges.
