Been gone awhile, and I'm wondering: are there level 53 recipes drops (really any +50 recipes drops)? I do not see them for sale anymore, nor have I gotten one while playing +3 +3 no AV, or +3 +3 AV.

I was on the tank team. My timing was off for a couple of reasons. One, I counted down ten seconds, and still went in ahead of main thrust. When I died and everyone else was still on the rock I got PO'ed and almost left. Second, I did not know we had a vent. Knowing that would have made a huge diff. It seems that a lot of people in that last raid were noobs, or new to Hami. Knowing about the vent would have reduced the stress of Linix, inexperience, and timing.

I would assume it would require a lvl 50 GR toon, just like the blue epic AT's for a hero needs a lvl 50 hero, and red epic AT's needed a lvl 50 villain.

Yes. I am approaching from the same view as CoV. A separate map/world (I hope it is all one big zone and remove the loading zone carp (just like WoW, ya travel outside a certain area and BAM! Ya dead), and one big server like Eve), some new AT, new missions, TF/SF/WhateverForce, and a blue and red V rouge zone, PvE for all three, and maybe a similar RWZ. For the vets, they know of Tyrant and Praetorian. Going Rouge is going to expand on that history which already exist in the game.

You imply you do not like melee toons. I would not bother with these AT's. They are heavily depend upon melee and melee ranged atts. I am not sure, but I think these toons were meant to please the blapper and anti blapper groups, must like some of the I16 additions are meant to please the farming and anti farming groups.

Dwarf is a stripped down tank. Nova is a supped up blaster. Realistically, these AT's seemed to be designed for team play but due to power pools, and sets, you can build them for solo play. I took, fighting, super speed, and fitness to help with human form solo play, and medicine to help solo with my WS. It is really going to come down to you, and how you like to play, and your build.

Snipe for Catapult? No, Catapult would be an Targeted AoE. But hey what do I know. I'm still waiting for my Lord of The Apes MM with monkey flinging pooh power.

I like them both. I can solo with both, team with both, and lose quite well in PvP/E with both. I find when soloing it is the INS you carry/combine with the AT that can make the difference. I have a mid 30 human only PB which can handle mobs quite well when build with FIGHTING, HASTEN, and FITNESS. Run in drop a nuke, take a blue, click away on my AOE while pounding the solo target. (My human only WS is the sort of the same but with MEDICINE (mainly for heal self).) However, as basically pointed out in a previous posts, it has a lot to do with play style, build, and preference.

The only real advise I can give is to use some IO sets that increase HP, and/or defense.

I love invasions. Love the accolade as it helps out in tight situations. However, this invasion did not seem right to me. I may not be recalling this correctly, but it seems that invasions use to be a 15 to 30 minute wait between waves. This time it seems like 60+ minutes of wait time. I guess, it use to seem like you could kill a whole day doing Rikti Invasions with a little wait time between waves, but this one seems to be killing the whole day waiting for waves.

I think it sucks. I mean, come on! Where's my rad armor/clawed tank! Come on! Been waiting 4 issues for that! Seriously, think it's a great addition. I can't wait to see all the pink dark powers floating around.

When you watch the video where Desdemona powers go from red to blue, it has that Infamous feel where your ele powers are blue when good, and red when evil. Wonder if that's going to be incorporated? Also, is there a gray color

The AE has tremendous potential. I have written several arcs (and will continue to do so) that I think are pretty neat because they tell actual stories. However, they rarely get played. I've tried broadcasting for a team with the caveat that it's not to farm, and no one ever joins. I've tried selecting people, but 90% of them refuse, or are already on a team, usually a farm.


The AE system has spawned the farming craze. My god, there were recently missions in which the foes DON'T even fight back (mitochondria, anyone?)! Anyone who thinks this hsan't affected the rest of the game is deluding themselves.

It IS harder to get teams together. It's still possible, but it's much more difficult. Having 70 people standing around in the AE building in Atlas DOES cause serious lag.

I don't know what the solution is, but it seems pretty darn obvious to me that there is a problem, and anyone who can't see it is blind.

Did you notice the part of my other post that I've highlighted for you? Finding groups IS harder than it used to be. BUILDING groups IS harder than it used to be. You can argue about the reason for this, but it seems pretty obvious it's because the AE has taken people out of the regular game.

I have to agree. I can stand in Atlas AE and shout starting new AE (team/farm/gonna shoot you while duck hunting team) and boom, people everywhere are looking to join or no one is looking to join. But if I try and build a regular content team it takes longer and usually have to run with 5 or 6. And when people ask where is Talos/Bricks/Croatoa/so one, it's hard to stay focused and chipper when the reply is what's the GL? Sometimes it seems that most vets have left this game. A lot of people I know have left. People who would play during almost all of their free time I hardly see online in my global now. It gives one the impression this game is now full of noobs, and is slowly going to kill the game.

I am not going to argue the benefits of AE. It has introduced much needed, new content. But people have to face a reality that the game is no longer about content or game play. The majority of this game is about farming and PL'ing. That may kill the game quickly. If DC Online and Champions Online have the content with the same type of powers selection, enh, and so forth, I can see a lot of people moving from CoX because the game goes back to content, and game play. But that is a theory which we shall see if it is true very soon. And even if we debate that DC and Champions will have their own version of AE, the one bet I will take and give greats odds on, is other games will implement their version of AE in a way that does not take so much away from the content and game play that most gamers I know like.

Seen both. Sometimes and SG or colalition will post in advanced, but 1/2 the team seems to join from a broadcast. But it's not about the hami, or rikti raid. It's not about TF's, teams, or radio missions. It's about the lack of help that seems to exist now. How everything appears geared to finding and creating farm team and missions. How it seems bad toons and players seem to exist in spades. (Don't get me wrong. I am not a great player. I am an average player.) I'm asking am I the only person who feels this way about people asking and getting help? I'm asking am I the only person who feels this way about how regular content, TF's, raids and so on appear to be a dying "art?"

I server hop between Liberty, Champion, Infinity, Pinnacle, and Virtue these days - so no, I do not get the impression from just one server.

I give up. I really give up. I just want to try and get a couple of HO's. Is that really way too much to ask? I have seen people saying taunt is a wasted power and if you take taunt you don't know how to tank; I have seen a COUPLE of tanks with stealth, but no taunt; I have seen people call Brutes Tanks - I can see there point, but a brute is a brute and grabs aggro for a different reason; I have seen people talk about TF's, bank and mayhem mishes as a complete waste of time; but this sort of turns me off the game all together:

So I think I am going to do something more enjoyable with my time, like learn to perform dentistry on myself. It seems we have reached a point where noobs are everywhere at every level and people just don't want to help anymore. When I started 18 months ago, I had a lot of help. By the time I got my first toon to 30, on protector, I knew what to do, and how to respec it, and look so forwarded to doing high lvl TF's and raids. There was a time people would "/b Anyone want to start a raid?" in PI, TI, or Grand and boom, you had enough or came close to having enough. Now it seems the raids are dying out - be it hami or RWZ. It seems like ALL HAIL AE! Seriously, is it me or is this what the games seems to have become in the past few months?

*About 20 people /b something like that and no one could or would explain it, and even a few replied "it's a bubble farm."

When's the next one?
