If Ultimus wanted to give feedback to the devs, he'd use the PM feature of the boards. He's posting when it's very clear that the devs already know not only what he does, but exactly what tactics he uses. It's not "feedback" when you tell someone something they already know in a self-aggrandizing, public, way. It's boasting.

Clearly its not the trials and tf than need beefing up, its Ultimus's powersets that need nerfing.

Or make sure that you can't do an SF solo. I hate to suggest it, beause a few of them are such crap that it's really the best way to do them (I'm looking at you, Posi's TF). But I'd prefer that to having tools we can use in the rest of the game nerfed.
Mostly though, meh. I don't solo AVs - I solo EBs. Now a handful of EBs have turned around and handed my Shivan it's [censored] on a platter. Try throwing a Shivan at the Envoy of shadows without a ranged heal to keep it alive with. Longbow Ballista do a number on them too. But really a player + a Shivan is overkill for a lot of EBs. More than anything that speaks to the wild variation in the power of AV/EBs.

That's actually 4 minions and 2 lieutenants only. No boss. There's a lieutenant and a group of three minions in the lobby, and the villain and a minion robbing the vault. The villain downgrades to a lieutenant on Heroic.
So yes, it can go really fast.

Actually Castle, i have to own up to doing similiar types of things. I soloed every single TF for the task force commander accolade with my Heroes. The missions would spawn small amounts, and be easy to complete. The only trouble i had was with babbage, in which a simple call in bcast took care off. For any really hard AV's i could just have my other account loaded in, or a friend show up to the fight, and the AV's would be reletively easy.
1 Brute can deystroy and AV when his fury bar is all the way up, and he has a buffer on the side. I think nukes and shivans would make it possible. Keep in mind shivans take about 10-15 min prep time. Not all that much.
I think they are overpowered and should be nerfed significantly. but thats just me.

How long does it take you find enough slugs to join your team/get in zone/explain how they will be kicked at the start of the TF?
How long does it take people to show up when Babbage is too much for you? (My 4 or 5 man team recently took about 10 minutes to get enough pickup/broadcast people on him to start dropping his health. They weren't enough, even with about a dozen of them, until somebody dropped to get their 50 rad controller.)

Playing on the same server as Incursion (Champion), I would bet that it would take him 5 minutes to get his SG mates to start a TF for him. If they are too busy PVPing in the arena, he could probably get other forumites to start one within 10 minutes at the most.
As for cases like Babbage, again, I would say 5 or 10 minutes at the most.

If a few farmers are swimming in rares, we're going to get the 'I PL for rare recipes' guys out in force. I think there will need to be a limit on how many times in a set period you can do the same trial/TF, as a group with no lives farming say Moonfire could quite comfortably get the best part of 20 TFs into a weekend, much worse if they run a scam like this. 8 people log on to start it, then log out, log on 8 alts and start another, do this 4 times in total. At this point, 4 duos separately do the different TFs to the last mission. Then the 4 last missions are done with full teams.
Also the sewer trial may need attention as you can be level 50 fighting greys throughout on it (barring about 15 seconds while you grab a cannon) and do it comfortably in 30 mins, I did for the badges.

Let him brag. He apperently needs to live vicariasly through these in game accompilishments. I don't have a LOT of faith in the devs, but i don't think they'll nerf whole power sets because one dude with no life can solo everything. They only do that when ALOT of people can, and belive me, if alot of people are doing it, they know, without us having to "show" them. This guy isn't going to cause squat to get nerfed. If any of his powersets do get nerfed, it'll be because the set themselves are accually overpowered, and this guy was just exploiting that.

It isn't about getting power sets nerfed I already stated I can do this with nearly any character combination/archetype.
I don't mind that he can solo trials and TFs. I don't mind that he likes to brag about it. I mind when he comes around and tries to get the drop rate for the rest of us nerfed because if everyone has access to rare recipes it'll make him feel less 'special'.

No, I can believe it. Some builds can't solo worth a tailless squirrel. No harm in that because they do very well with teams.
As for Ultimus and his Fire/Fire brute going around soloing AVs and what-not, How the frak does he do it??!! =O_O= I have a fire/fire and I feel like a psuedo-squishy! A boss looks at me funny and I'm on my kiester, let alone an EB or AV. Soloing an AV? Bwahahahahahaha! I could have all 5 shivans out and i'd still be spanked. Build has a lot to do with it, as well as just how good the player is. Ultimus is in a very very verrrrrrry small minority. The game should not be balanced around the annomalies like him.
PS: Ultimus, my Fire/Fire is on Freedom and I'd love to tag along on one of your AV runs just to see how you do it. My global is: @Tundara

I could understand your resentment if inventions were live but they aren't. The developers have stated the drop rates will get tweaked and I am trying to point out an early flaw.

I agree completely -- if some idiot(s) wants to ruin his experience by farming so be it but if they destroy my fun because the devs design for them like in so many games (DDO Comes to mind) then I take offense.
Design for the people playing for fun not for the exploiters !!!!

And IF that is truly the case, (i'm not completely sure i by it.) Your such a minory the dev's can't account for you. All they can do is sit back, say, "that kids pretty good." and leave it at that, cause you can't balance a game around ONE guy. Unless ALOT of people can do it, all your doing is braging. Nothing else can come from it.

Yes, and it might very well be a flaw. I still think that the measurement for soloing is rather silly, but I'll let it stand.
See, we don't know if availability will be an issue. We don't even know if these rares will be "worth farming." The auction house mechanics appear to work against the whole "trading" system that we see in other games, inf* is too easily available, recipes too flexible.
These could very well lead to a situation of, "Sure, I can solo TF's in X minutes, but why bother?" That would make any solution moot

If one primary/secondary can do it, then anyone that builds that primary/secondary in the same way, and uses the same easily repeatable tactics can do it.
There is nothing wrong with drawing in outliers.
There are substantial benifits to adjusting these outliers before rare loot is added to the game.

No...pointing out a flaw would be bringing up the possibility of people doing it. You would leave out your own personal accomplishments, though I hardly call Nukes, Shivans and a tray of Purples an 'accomplishment'. And as you seem to do everywhere, you can't help but mention soloing AVs.
By saying that you can do it with damn near every AT and powerset combo, is nothing but bragging and trying to say you're better than the rest of us.
And no, we don't resent you. To resent you, we would actually have to care about you to some extent beyond how you're going to get everyone hit with Special ED Round 2.
