I agree with the "doubt I'll ever exercise the option," but nice for people who screw up their builds so badly that 3 earned respecs can't cover them until they get a vet respec.....

We have no plans of getting rid of freespecs. Each Issue that brings with it major power changes (which is pretty much every single one, eh?) will bring a freespec with it.

We have no plans of getting rid of the dropped Respec Recipes.
We have no plans of getting rid of the Veteran Respecs that your account earns.
This is simply another way to get a Respec onto your character.

When the OP has made a clear, logical coherent statement of "whatever" /signed is not a bump, it is a means of demonstrating community support without wasting everyone's time by restating.

While I know this makeover will ease a lot of frustration, especially amongst newbs, it also makes me a little sad. My first character or 2 "grew up" in the hollows on PuGs. The Hollows was where I learned (sometimes the hard way) about aggro range, breaking aggro, etc.
It made recall Friend and Group invis great early team powers. It was the basis for the need for "Taxi-bots" and in the days before Bases, Vet TPs, O-Zone tps and WW tps, it made you appreciate the highbies who would broadcast offers of TPs to the AP gate... -

Yes. We upgraded our server hardware as part of our re-investment plan for City of Heroes/Villains, but the fact of the matter is that we've actually hit a new capacity threshhold.
To be clear....There are more players on Freedom now than have ever played on that server. Ever.

Because data mining didn't show that people were transferring characters to Freedom and creating new ones and no one could guess that DXP would encourage more people on other servers to create alt characters on Freedom..... -

Here's a thought. The devs in the past have felt the need to balance risk with reward. Not sure if this is still a mantra but perhaps a different way to look at it is:
if the IoP trial is suitably difficult, the risk is losing the IoP after you've invested the effort of getting enough SG mates together at once and running the trial. I think losing 2 or 3 hours (not to mention organization time) of 8 or 10 or 20 people's time is plenty of risk if someone can waltz in and steal it easily. -

I PvP very casually. Unfortunately, only one other person in my sg does, which makes it less fun (prefer to play with my friends).
That said, I think it could/should be much better. I left off anything I deemed to be a bug fixes, since bugs should be fixed, period. We shouldn't need a wishlist for those. I left off balance related, since balance is in the eye of the beholder.
A comment on the notion that Test server is such a "hotbed of pvp activity." Sure, this is partially a result of the best/most interested from each server concentrating play, but I also believe that it is significantly related to the PvE vs PvP builds. People can dupe a character and tweak for PvP without impacting their PvE play. They can also uber loot them by dupin rares, which makes them more optimal builds. Fun for the serious players, less fun for someone who doesn't have help or access to HOs and IOs or a friend/second account to help with duping.
Here's mine in general preference order.

Bounty System in All Zones (bounty can be saved up, not gone as soon as you leave zone...like vanguard credits)

Flight Not Viable (tp is only meh without a second travel power)

Nope, you can't. In any pvp or co-op zone a hero cannot get info on a villain and vice versa. I am only a casual PvP'er and even I know this. Can't recall if they disabled same faction in the arena or not (i.e. hero v hero or villain v villain).
Do not tell PvP'ers what they should "feel" when you apprently aren't one. I say apparently because if you consider yourself a pvp'er and don't know this, well, you're not...
Regarding the other stuff. I would hope there might be some granularity to the "controls." e.g. cityinfoterminal.com tracks your characters and allows you to make things like "inf" not visible.
Last thing you need is beggers having another way to try to beg. -

Not sure if this is helpful to devs, but last night I was in RWZ. On a whim I clicked on my friend's base (he was team lead) when I clicked on the base portal at the HQ. It took a *Really* long time, but I loaded into his base despite being in a non-coalitioned SG already.
As soon as I loaded, a popup menue asking me RWZ or RWZ2 appeared as if I had clicked on the exit. everytime I clicked cancel it would pop back up. I ignored it and was able to wander around his base. Eventually, while chatting with him, I just got kicked.
I assume that the bug wanted to kick me, but because my zone of origin had two instances, it cycled into the "ask which instance" logic and couldn't kick me until RWZ2 despawned.
Well, there you have it. Now you can fix this problem, right?!? -
Why do you need an attacking team?
In my experience if you put the healing team in stay/defend the LBW2 start heal spamming like a noob empath. Only with the glads (and contrary to player character logic) the healing counts toward the badge even if no damage has been taken.
All you need is at least one person/account to man the second team to keep the arena contest open. Both teams can sit in their own corners and healspam for the badge overnight if necessary.
Edit: Actually not having set up myself, I'm trying to remember if the leader from each team sent one pet to the other side to trigger the heal spamming or not. I do not recall it being that way, but been about 6 months since I participated in one. -
