Double xp weekend needs to be extended if we can't play our toons.
Did the Devs not say something about increasing the load capacity of the servers to compensate for this?

Double xps is nice and all, but I would still rather be able to play....
If you can't play, it is ZERO xp weekend.
almost every server is yellow, virtue is red.. this is a lot different than all servers being green and freedom being yellow
This is rather annoying. I don't jump around servers, so wanting to play my current toons and can't on double xp weekend is frustrating as hell.

We've been monitoring the performance of all servers throughout the day and early evening, and based upon recent data from Freedom, we're going to throttle down the maximum number of players that will be able to access the Freedom and Virtue servers for the remainder of the weekend.
Players will not get kicked off the server while we make this adjustment. However, if you log off, you may not be able to log back into the server (i.e. it will appear grayed out on the Server Selection screen).
This was done to ensure that performance was optimal for all players on the server.
Then why do you continue to allow people to move thier characters to freedom and virtue, when you know this is what would/will happen during any popular event.
When something good happens to me, I can never enjoy it....
I am always too busy looking for the inevitable punchline...

Yes. We upgraded our server hardware as part of our re-investment plan for City of Heroes/Villains, but the fact of the matter is that we've actually hit a new capacity threshhold.
To be clear....There are more players on Freedom now than have ever played on that server. Ever.
I knew this would happen, so I'm not surprised.
I said it in another thread but nobody seemed to notice.

Here's the nuts and bolts of it. From MY skewed perspective, you've locked me outta my freakin' house. And NO, I'm not goin' to lol Protector, because my arrival there would double the freakin' population.
I've been a Freedomite since the headstart in 2004, and you're LOWERING the population limit for Freedom so, what, people can farm smoother? Open the door, and let us take the instability for what it is - high population! At least THAT way you're not KEEPING OUT THE NATIVES!

Back-up servers, maybe? I couldn't play this morning because I had to go to work, the last thing I want is to be locked out of my home server when I get home after a horrible day. I want to kick some butt already!

seconded, this crap is unacceptable. Surely the devs seen this coming and maybe should have limited the # of server transfers to freedom and virtue, OR consolidated the servers nobody plays on (such as lol protector or 'theres a server named infinity'?).
