Yes. We upgraded our server hardware as part of our re-investment plan for City of Heroes/Villains, but the fact of the matter is that we've actually hit a new capacity threshhold.
To be clear....There are more players on Freedom now than have ever played on that server. Ever.

Boycott Ncsoft if they close down Coh.

I hope someone else other than me realizes that with the server upgrades, more people are playing on freedom that what would have been allowed if they did not upgrade the servers!
Had the server upgrade not happen, this thread would have started at 2 like other threads and be 100 pages long with the same issue, not being able to log on since then.
Freedom is the fo-shizzel Fo-sure, but even after the upgrades with Freedom able to handle many more players, we still are bringing too much bling and dragging it down.
Imagine how much sooner the lock would have been, or how much longer the wait to get in would be if not upgraded.

Obviously not as full as the noobs in the forums that cant quote a post.
If all the noobs are taking up your server space you have other servers to choose from.
Dont overreact, There are still more people able to enjoy freedom now than in the past XP events.
I'm not saying Freedom does not need to be looked at in the area of more improvements or even server transfer locking, but people still need to acknowledge attempts were made to limit these interruptions with a cash investment most other MO's would not have made at this point.

I keep remembering back to when Server Transfers were first announced. Everyone from Freedom said something like this would happen. Everyone who was on the forums and not actively playing on Freedom said that it wouldn't.
