  1. Well hell.

If Morna and Viper are in then count me in as well...so long as you dont mind that I have not done it yet.

Ill bring along my incarnate tier 5 dark/dark defender Shadow Spar.
  2. The 10 active arcs is the ticket.

I also was having this issue, and once I read this thread I counted how many active arcs I had open, and bingo I had 10.

I also changed sides at lvl 50 some time ago and cannot talk to the villain contacts, but I cleared one of the arcs in RWZ, went to talk to Ramiel and presto. No issue getting missions from him now.

Count your active and inactive contacts, see if you have 10 books total across any of the contacts.

If you have ten arcs, clear one and Ramiel will start talking.

Note this is active arcs people, not actual missions. You need to do the missions within the arc to finish said arc.

Thanks to the people that figured this out, saved me a ton of frustration.

Now to petition support about removing the arcs from contacts I cannot talk to, and have no intentions to in the near future.

  3. As long as the adapter/adapter subnet used to connect to the internet is listed under the internet zone you are fine.

The only thing you should have as trusted zones is dhcp, dns, and loopback along with internal computers as part of your home network behind a router. As you stated you are not networked,so you do not have to worry about that.

As for Malwarebytes, my understanding is the purchase version is not really worth it. I run the free version once every couple of weeks or simply when I think something is amiss.
  4. I have been sitting in the same spot a while.. Certain times of day seem worse than others as the sun goes up and down.

    Edit -

It does look worse in certain lighting for sure.

I would diable the CDROM just in case that is going out. Just remove the power from it.

also to make sure ad/spy ware is not a issue run Hijackthis (link in post above).
    Good one!

Had the same happen to me a few years back with a half dead cd-rom causing issues.

With not much to go by this is a very good suggestion.
  6. Very intresting find Healix.

I just created a new screenshot in a location where I have one from June 08.

The old one, during a raid -

    (click for larger version)

    And the new one -

Open them both full screen and flip back and forth, you can see the new one is more jagged.

Also, the raid ss is with my old ATI2600xt, and the new one is a 9800GTX+ running full tilt.

  7. Definitely an issue for official support.

Other than that my only suggestion is under "Billing Summary" of your plaync account page. Try changing/adding a card there.

    Good luck with it.

AMD lists drivers for all the Radeon cards under Linux on their support site. I'm not sure if they actually work though.
ATI and Ubuntu/Linux is also rough.

Biggest issue with me is the flicker with fullscreen opengl apps with ATI cards while running compiz/desktop effects.

Turn off desktop effects/compiz and it goes away, but it all works very nice with Nvidia while everything is running.
  9. Avoid the 2600 series if from Diamond Multimedia.

I know first hand now they are in the habit of undercooling their cards, smallest amount of dust causes issues.
  10. As far as laptops go, Nvidia over ATI.

    That is all.

I am no longer of the opinion that desktop AV is providing any significant protection, people need to change their internet habits and use other types of protections. For about a year, maybe 2, I have seen every major and minor AV product completely bypassed by todays 0day polymorphic infectors and rootkits.

You can still get the current beta at Softpedia, but I expect MS will release it pretty soon now.

I dont' use it myself, I have my AV and spam protection on my Router with no desktop AV except for an 'install' of Clam AV portable to scan files when I feel like it.
What you are saying is you will not see a doctor because there is no vaccine yet for swine flu.

    Interesting.
  12. I am trying to put together a guide on the Mobility Modder, a guide for people with ATI based laptops to get the current ATI drivers needed to play the game.

In the process of putting together this guide, I need to construct a post that contains an IE only java "code" that will report if .net framework is installed.

I cannot even put the code in a post without an error even using VB's "code" tags.

    It's really annoying me.

For example, I need to put this in code -

    Code:
    hippo:alert(navigator.userAgent)
Replace javascript with hippo, and you can no longer wrap in the code tags, even though the code tags should null and void any scripts/security issues.

BTW - if you replace "hippo" with "javascript" the prompt tells you if you have .net installed... That is all.

If a community rep could comment/forward I would really appreciate it.
  13. There is another thread floating around with url hooks to these forums that search for the given persons(devs) chatter.
  14. Please activate the quick reply without needing to click something.

Yeah Im sure it has come up already.
  15. You are running the ATI 8.8's, and they cannot run the game.

You need to get the drivers updated to 8.11 or higher.

As a laptop, you need to use the Mobility modder to get the regular up to date desktop versions on your laptop

    Mobility Modder

Follow the directions and you will be up to date and gaming in no time flat.

Since it's a one-time payment of $25 for the real-time MalwareBytes (if I recall correctly), I might go ahead and fork that up. I'm not the only person who uses my PC.

So now it's looking like AVG (free) + ZoneAlarm (free) plus MalwareBytes (paid) -- still a good, cheap solution, from all I'm hearing.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Best combo you got right there.

  17. Very intresting look at a "simple bug" on the outside.
  18. You need to update the ATI drivers.

Common error with ATI drivers 8.8 to 8.10.

AVG, Malwarebytes, and basic ZoneAlarm are the only programs you need, and cost zero for home use.

    [/ QUOTE ]
But do any of these free versions include real-time protection? I have had instances in which either PC-Cillin or SpySweeper have generated visually "loud" pop-ups right in front of me saying, "I just stopped such-and-such file from doing something really wrong to your PC," so I don't think I'm going to feel comfortable without at least SOME measure of realtime protection.

    [/ QUOTE ]

ZoneAlarm free is a great firewall, AVG free has full resident protection/web protection and updates/scans every day for spyware/viruses.

Malwarebytes costs little for the full version that includes a realtime scanner, but is also very effective simply running the free version when you think you have a issue or just once a week to keep your system in top condition.
  20. AVG, Malwarebytes, and basic ZoneAlarm are the only programs you need, and cost zero for home use.
  21. As a former ATI guy I can say stay away from mobile ATI.

The driver trouble is just not worth it and I have no idea when ATI is gonna wake up and demand OEM lap top makers allow off the shelf ATI drivers.
  22. Update your ATI drivers.

You seem to be running the 8.5/8.6 cats.

Try to get updated to the newest cats, or at least any catalyst version above 8.10.

You may the need the help of the Mobility Modder, its a program that takes the regular desktop version drivers of your card and makes them compatible with lap tops.

    Mobility Modder

Follow the directions on the page, and download the proper desktop drivers for your card from ATI to use with the modder so it may convert them for use in your lap top.

    ATI help

Odds are you will need the mobility modder to use ATI's off the shelf drivers.

You can get the modder here -

    Mobility Modder

Follow the directions carefully. The simple most common reason it does not work is when all the instructions are not followed step by step.

Make sure you get and install the MSXML pack from the same site on XP.

    Good luck with it.

I've been checking this game out for a while now, and decided to try out the trial. I signed up, and everything was going smooth until I clicked the link for the installation. Whenever I click the link to the CohUpdater for the PC, I just get a blank white screen - no window pops up, and I can't even install it. I use XP, and I don't think it's a problem with javascript. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Try this Installer from our FTP.

    O rly?

And what does the "NA" version of the installer do if I may ask?
