yes, we need more unused, empty zones like boomtown and eden.
-
Villains have relationships too, and feel empathy, anger, and the like when one falls.
Not all villains are only looking out for themselves. The "theme" bit is a load of crap. -
fear on a blaster as a seondary is going to a: kill the use of the presence pool and b: murder melees

WHY NO EMP FOR CORR? ELF_STALKER
Empathy isnt a villainous trait, generally speaking. From a fiction standpoint, it will likely never be given to Villains as a set.
Back to thematics Empathy isnt really a villainous trait. From a fiction standpoint, it wasnt our first choice to port over and the reason corruptors didnt receive it in the first place as part of the release of City of Villains. If we were to add an Empathy Like set, it would need to be all new and not a port of it, to make it fit into the Villainous theme. As such, that fell out of the scope of Issue 12s powerset proliferation and is why it wasnt included.

Defenders have dark, not very hero like.
Scrappers have dark melee, not very hero like.

That is consistently and intentionally overlooked. They just don't want to give empathy to villains. -
Sigh. This is just ridiculous, of course, the h to v balance wasn't even remotely addressed in the post. Villains are really screwed now.
Storm, and even Empathy for villains wouldn't save them for the disaster that is looming anyway. I'm trying to figure out what the point of playing any villain AT outside of a stalker is now in PvP. -
I was talking about the reference to dual blades on stalkers, not all the ideas on this thread. THere are a lot of good ones.
It's still a total mess. -
It did get their attention, but it didn't get much of a change.

may as well delete the thread thanks anyway for tryin

This all just adds to the "city of heroes is not a comic book game in the slightest" situation.

Villains attack hero cities all the time, and frequently live there, as Silverspar said.
they usually don't spend all their time attacking other villains in caves for no reason.
CoX is about as superhero/villain as world of warcraft is a superhero game.
[/ QUOTE ]We can also talk more immersion breaking things;
Warburg
Bloody Bay
Why are heroes fighting themselves over nukes? Why are heroes using WMDs at all? Heroes should be stopping the use of WMDs, not trying to keep them for themselves and encourage their use.
Why are heroes even allowed in Bloody Bay? That's called an invasion of a sovereign country. Help was not asked for, and in fact, the strooyline states that Arachnos is moving the citizenry out, yet Longbow and heroes are in Bloody Bay still, basically enacting war, just like they are in Mercy, and Nerva Archipelago.

I agree. the closest we get is siren's call, but then its "oops, can't go further, invincible drones that kill everything rendering heroes useless (why not just put these things everywhere?) are a roadblock!"
I'm not saying change the game, but damn is it immersion-breaking. -

because the sewers isn't content, and I don't know about you, but when I try out a new game, I want to see its content.
-
Other games manage to function without the massive bugfests this game has, with similar size teams, and more released content.
I don't think we're asking too much for a game that works when we expect it to. -

And it has me hoping that someone from Cryptic is taking notes.

I so totally agree with you on this. I am so tired of the bugs. So tired that I'm probably going to not renew my account.
It seriously aggravates me that there are so many bugs in this game. And there they remain for years while the devs blithely ignore them and continue to work on new stuff.
For example, anything about this game that you name, I guarantee you I can name at least one known bug with it. UI, team window, zones, missions, bases, powersets, costumes, contacts, SGs, Trains, IOs, what am I forgetting here? I know I'm forgetting something. Anyway, my point was that there isn't a single thing that exists in this game that is bug-free. Not one thing. Not one!
I'm so sick of having to explain bugs to people all the time. Either my friends who are trying the game out, or to newbies on PuGs.
*sigh* I just want the damn thing to work right. Is that too much to ask?

so quoted, so correct. so noted. I'd be embarassed if I were the coding this game. I'd want to fix some of them.
a lot of these bugs make me not even want to play. I didn't pvp while that blaster bug was around, and I haven't even done it since the fix. It's such a turnoff that the devs simply do not care about all of them. There are bugs that are years old that are still ignored. -
Maybe I'm alone in not liking this either. I actually would prefer how it is how, honestly.
-
You should charge more for the wedding pack. If you can manage to get suckers to pay 10 dollars for a couple of costumes, surely you could have gotten them to pay 20.
-
Fix the god damn tech bug in the RSF (and every elevator/door in the game)
Give villains a katie equivalent, so that they can get recipes in half an hour like the heroes. -

Hiya, sticking my head in from Virtue just to say this [censored] SUCKS.
I have characters on Freedom too, but jeez, if it's your home server, you want to be able to play on it. Anyone who's pissed off about the current situation has a perfect right to be, and anyone taking drive-by lulz shots at the residents has to be getting some pretty cheap laughs. Without getting too touchy-feely here, MMOs are all about community, and your home server is where your damn community is. Being able to get on to it for a special event matters. That's [censored] elementary.
I hope they give you guys an extra couple of days of double XP for this. They did it for some of the Euro servers once, so it's feasible.
[/ QUOTE ]
let the fanboys get their laughs. I'm still getting in both servers, and their servers will go back to being wastelands compared to virtue and freedom post-event anyway. -

Not a big fan of the AV just standing there waiting for you to come while you're just killing everything around them. Its very static.
I think you should be painfully aware that you're in the AV's/heroe's lair and that they have the upper hand. The end battle should feel like you're turning the tides.

I'd love if it wasn't like this, but people would whine that it was too 'hard'
Mobs all too often watch their friends die and stand there like retards. -
thor your avatar is messed up. your posts are just not the same without it.

You'd be surprised how many people actually do.
MMOs are evil. -
checking every 30 minutes isn't going to help. you have to keep checking back and forth and a spot will open
