I haven't run TFs for a long time, but I am keen to get into some again.

Quote:to be fair, the ways the portals continually spawn regardless of the player's presence (as opposed to say a demon portal that needs to be aggroed) caused people to think it was bugged.This. They give Solo players opportunities, they never said it would be easy.
Plenty of people beat it solo and it can be autocompleted for the people who can't, so it's really not a roadblock to any soloers there. -
What was it in Lady Jane's mission for the midnight squad she was seeking? didn't it turn out to be a vial of Hero 1's blood (I don't remember for certain).
and isn't that what the player finds smashed on the ground before encountering Holtz and the weakened Honoree? I wonder if that means anything.
Also, in that last mission of the Ramiel arc we encounter echoes again, and echoes who seem to know that the character will be a god in a future timeline. I wonder then who put them there? It seems odd that if we were travelling back in time to the location of the well, there would be no actual enemies, only echoes. -
that's what you get for eating nothing but pop rocks.

Heh, I felt more like when Wile E Coyote walked out over open air, and then fell when he realized it. All I was missing was a sign that read "Yipe!".
-
haha, I've accidentally jumped into that moat so many times.
The other day I was in Imperial City looking for staircases to get to the tops of tall buildings by using the jump pack to get to the top of said buildings, and looking for doors, and the pack ran out just as I was in the middle of two very tall buildings. I landed in a pack of Syndicate. heh. -
and also, when a stalker goes blue side assassination strike should be renamed "bunny hugs", and a rainbow should fly out.
and who says there aren't heroic stalkers anyway? Ever see Superman Returns? Superman stalked the crap out of Lois Lane through the whole movie. creeepy.
kidding aside, I get your point. I think Lothic's probably right in that they used the ''lore'' to cover a balance concern, but who knows. maybe we'll get more proliferation soon. -
Quote:true enough, but the idea of a whole new game built from the ground up on the tech that is behind Praetoria (branching missions, zone glowies, disappearing contacts and the like) is pretty exciting to me.The problem with new MMOs is that you only get about half a game.
As excited as I am to see a COH 2, I know there is no way it can have as many costume options, powersets and content as the game we now have.
So while on paper it's exciting, it'll probably be a long time after launch before it is in a state that feels half as complete as COX does now(and even now we have stuff that still needs doing). -
Contact -"Hello new hero, I have a jewel thief I'd like you to catch"
Hero - "Love to. Where're they holed up?"
Contact - "Okay, see that giant pit of white hot death over there?"
Hero - "Yeah?"
Contact - "They're on the other side of it. have fun! Oh, and when you get back I need you to take out some Circle of Thorns. They're in the middle of the tree maze in Perez"
Hero - "You're Satan, aren't you?"
Also, the complaints I've seen about Praetoria having too much running to contacts is hilarious. I remember having to run Indigo to Crimson and back, before Founder's Falls had a tram station. and every mission you got was in a different zone from the one you were in.
Indigo "Hey, go to Atlas real quick!"
Hero "How about no?" -
I love the new Clockwork. The way parts of them transform to do attacks and whatnot is so awesome. seriously.

Quote:server merge threads tend to take the stance of "OMG THE GAME IS DOOMED", so even the ones that aren't get tarred with that same brushI was hoping to have an appropriate discussion with a great community, but with people like you on the forums devolving every thread into ignorant nonconstructive statements it makes it difficult.
For a game this far along in it's life cycle, server merges aren't as ominous as people seem to think, so I wouldn't be too concerned if it happened so long as they figured out the name thing.
I think a lot of people feel like server merges are the first step toward shutting the game down though, so they will react with venom to the slightest suggestion. -

Looks pretty great. Is hellfire a new damage type?
by that I mean does anything currently in game do hellfire type damage? -
Quote:I really like the summoning animation... looked to me like the big demon was using fire and ice powers? It will be interesting to see what all creatures can do.Someone put up a YouTube video of the panel and it includes the Demon Summoning video.

I only played one character, but I was able to get a new DP/Devices blaster to level 17 (almost 18).
I was hoping to hit 20, but I didn't have enough time this weekend. Still, close enough. -
Quote:I keep waiting for it to go completely off the rails, and have something likelol, Troof there.
Sometimes the login server is messed up, while the servers themselves are just fine. That does happen regularly.
however, note well that the Test server is up for Closed Beta on I16 right now, so you may or may not be allowed to get in that at all. But yeah, the server page is ... in its own dreamy little world.
Guardian status: COOKIE! -
Quote:They do have two from time to time, but the way their system seems to work is they have to block access to all the test servers during a closed beta test.It would.
Just wanted to test a power before taking it live.
Had no clue about a beta test.
BTW, didn't they have multiple test servers in the past? (I remember 2 at a certain time)
B.
It is sort of annoying if you were just wanting to jump over to check a build or test a power or whatever, but it shouldn't be closed for too long. hopefully. -
and I think fully half of those are from the i16 beta thread on test.
The tag cloud will be the source of much humour, though. Until they turn it off -
I still think they should change the message to "NO BETA FOR JOO!"
