How Embarrassing.

Yeah, leaping across rooftops takes a LOT of practice, nooblet, you'll get the hang of it. Around level 14.

Oh I'm no nooblet, I've been here for around 3 years now.
I just take a while to level....
(assuming the above is lighthearted sarcasm)
Roger that.

El Zorro, speaking to his broken ankle:
"I coul' hav tol' you, you're not gonna make that jump. But no, you gotta be the hero..."
"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"
"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."
I know the feeling...that bloody moat in the middle of Nova Praetoria gets me every time. While I could easily clear it with my Primal Earth version character, my praetorian always hits the wall on the other side, and the wall is just high enough that I can't jump over it out of the water with ninja run and so thus must usually revert to using the jet pack, or swim to the side and go around.
*sigh*
I swear Emperor Cole put it there to laugh every time someone splashes down in it....and come to think of it, it is pretty funny.
Touche Tyrant, Touche.
Eagles may soar, but Pigions don't get sucked into Jet engines.
Actually, I was more teasing the character

The trick is to hop onto the small wall before making the sprint/ninja leap powered jump across to the higher tier.
|
Thanks, I'll try that next time...still...the fact that it's *just* higher then the Ninja jump power can reach when your in the water makes me think that the Dev's planned that one rather carefully...

Of course, now I have Ninja Run.....

The other day I was in Imperial City looking for staircases to get to the tops of tall buildings by using the jump pack to get to the top of said buildings, and looking for doors, and the pack ran out just as I was in the middle of two very tall buildings. I landed in a pack of Syndicate. heh.
...I hate that moat so much. I think my characters spend almost as much time in the moat as they do fighting crime.
Okay, it's not quite that bad, but only because fighting crime tends to involve multiple hospital trips after the ghoul ambushes eat their soul. So.
....I smell a new aquatic signature villain...
Any takers? It could be the Nova Praetoria Moat Monster...think the Praetorian version of Lusca!

Well I don't know about anyone else, but GR to me was a great opportunity to find out what my main hero would be like if he wasn't so....heroic. My Praetorian, Dark'Falcon, is a Responsible Loyalist. He protects the innocent against the Resistance and other criminals; however as opposed to his Blueside counterpart, he kills his enemies.
I apparently did too good a job making him into the mirror of my main hero.
I was playing him earlier and decided to ninja run/jump from one building to the next. While Knight'Hawk is level 38, has hurdle and jump height enhancements, Dark'Falcon is level 8 and doesn't. So I make the jump, 100% sure I'd land on the next building annnnnd....*miss*. I fell allllllll the way to the ground. Fortunately, we can't die from falling. I can imagine the scene right now if we did:
Hero 1: "So I shot him with an energy blast..."
*SPLAT*
Hero 2:
Anyway, I thought that was funny, but being 5 AM where I'm at, I'm not thinking straight. I thought I'd share this experience anyway, and as a word of warning: make sure you know what toon you're playing before leaping off tall buildings in a single bound.
