What does that say about "augmented reality target"?

Viewing the demo, it looks like a 3D image of Maelstrom. As you move the paper around, Maelstrom moves around on the website. It's certainly not "a peek at the world of GR", which I was excited about.
There's a pdf available to print out an image of the helm to use, if you don't have the PAX flyer. I don't have a webcam or I would try it myself.

I don't care about that. I care about the wording they used, "a peek at the world of GR"... not "a peek at a 3D image of one of the characters in GR".

Just tried it. It's the in-game model for Maelstrom. Cool thing is, if the image is the "base" of the character, you can move it around to see him from different angles.
Edit: NM, it's too touchy to get a whole rotation of the character.

Very neat concept, but I figure the demo is about as close as we'll ever get to seeing it used in-game. You could do some awesome things with that in the realm of gaming though.

Maybe it varies from webcam to webcam. Mine doesn't like looking at the mask at angles. Straight on is fine though.
