Going Rogue at PAX
The thing I found interesting, that I think people might have glanced past... when Positron asked "Can I tell them about no more war walls" and someone told him "no", I don't think he was just talking about Praetoria....
I'm thinking that there might not be an actual reason to have war walls anymore. I mean, the Rikti always get in, and if they set each area to zone you into another zone... there really would be no need for them anymore.
pohsyb: so of all people you must be most excited about the veats
Arachnos Commander: actually, I am
pohsyb: I mean you kinda were one already anyways ^_^

Oh geez. I would love it if Paragon City finally got rid of those terrible War Walls.

Well, I have no questions, as most of them have already been answered.
Going Rogue could not come out soon enough though. At least I'll have Super Street Fighter 4 to keep me busy (but that doesn't come out till near the end of April......LOL)
Guess I'll just see how many characters I can bring to 50 (legit leveling) until it hits.
Can't come up with a name? Click the link!
The issue with removing the war walls entirely would be that what we see of one war wall doesn't back directly onto the war wall on the other side. There's a lot of city in between what we know as city zones. I cannot remember if these buildings are residential or destroyed (I know they appear fine when you look through the war walls), but they'd have to add that in. Between all of the zones.
Also, I don't know where hazard zones fall in all of this. While war walls don't exist to contain them, we'd probably have to keep the solid part of the wall at least. It helps enforce who can get in and who can't.
I don't really know how I'd feel about the war walls coming down. It would be a big enough change to get some kind of opinion out of me, of course. But I've grown fond of them, and haven't ever seen the issue that other people seem to have with them.

Take Peregrine (or the Rogue)Isle(s) for example. There's no sudden giant wall visually blocking you from the edge(though, the Rogue Isles do have walls that appear when you reach an edge), it looks more open, even though you know there's a boundary, it doesn't readily look like there is.
It's entirely an aesthetic thing to me.
I find it functionally appealing, myself. Given the relative same-ness of urban environments, it can help a lot, especially for new players. I remember playing MxO and walking into the "bad" part of town (ie, everything was level "I keeel you") more often than I'd like to admit.

I don't have a huge issue with them, but they do seem like they're only there to establish zones and boundaries. More than anything else, it kind of mars the skyline.

"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...

Go to Baumton and fly fairly higher then most of the burned buildings. Wait, and as the sun begins the set, the war walls slowly turn into a brighter and more vibrant orange. Sure, it looks like the city is on fire, but the color is SO amazingly pretty.

Oh, and Kinetic Melee... I waaaaant.
Huron: "...with Coffee primary / Attitude secondary"
Charnage: "Please. Think of the poor defenseless desks."
"The Babylon Project was our last, best hope for peace. It failed... In the year of the Praetorian War, it became something greater... our last, best hope for victory."
So for those of you who were there...
Mr P Nut was the one who originally asked the question about the Defender inherent. He gave a shout out to both the Paragonian Knights and Virtue while at the mic.
I was the one in the front row who turned around and took a picture of the crowd, telling everyone my wife hates gamers, and to say hi & smile!
It was an awesome panel...I'm only sorry it went by so fast.
We will be at the Meet & Greet tonight so see you all there!

Very neat concept, but I figure the demo is about as close as we'll ever get to seeing it used in-game. You could do some awesome things with that in the realm of gaming though.

that really depends there are a few games nothing major that use this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNu4CluFOcw i dont think that these games are even out yet but will see it could end up like the virtual reality stuff.

For example, move Atlas and Skyway a little more to the north, so they'd fit better with Perez, Steel and Kings Row.
