PS: Plus a sizeable bonus for all PS employees because I just love this game so much. I figure a year's pay ought to do it.
Well, at *guessing* main 80 employees making an average 40k/year Thats 3.2 million a year for payroll + another 1 million for benefits and whatnot and going by other franchises of similar size and fame and the price for all the structure and other support staff you are looking at, at least 200 million to buy the City of franchise along with all the support to continue running the game.

  3. I found myself staring down this pack of fade soaked goulies and I thought to myself "Man this set is friggin awesome" Good job devs you really hit the nail on the head this time.

(the fixes that came with this mornings patch was also pretty great)

Sing your praises or show off all the nonsense possible thanks to the new dark sets.

Incarnate unlocks - Meh. Why not just sell level 50 if you are going to sell the unlocks to these, we already have a problem with players being illprepared to deal with trials.
Very rare enhancements - No thanks, I don't want to spend $5 or more on a single enhancement and these already function at all levels.

/edit: Salvage- although I would expect it to be upgraded salvage in the same way we got upgraded inspirations - How could this work? salvage is common and inexpensive, there is no real reason to sell it.

I'm sure there's more I've missed or haven't thought of, but that's why I'm posting, to get more group-think on this matter. I'm also sure that when each of the items in the red category comes to market there will be a noticeable segment of the player base complaining- but those complaints won't stop the sale.
I put in my responses but honestly the things that will lead to a mature paragon market is not going to be "Pay to Win" type items like selling purples but through improving the interface and responsiveness, hell the market would improve by ten fold if it didn't automaticly take you to the check out screen every time you click buy or at least gave you the ability to quickly and cleanly go back to where you were looking.

So that means another week of buying purples. I've been starting a lot of new chars recently to try every power set in the game, and realized I may not have enough for all of them. So time to hoover up the purple market as Arcanaville put it.

  7. Powerboost works for it on beta and I don't see any reason why they would change it since it is difficult to make permanent.

The argument we are trying to make isn't that controllers don't deal damage or shouldn't, what we are trying to say is that Damage is not the priority with controllers since that is not their primary function and when trying to decide "Well what can be cut first?" you are going to look at what gets the most varied function and the ST immobilize is only really useful for some -okay- damage and dealing with AV's, things dark/dark has MULTIPLE options, that includes Dark servant that has his own AOE Immob that stacks with your own to help keep av's tied down.

Between dropping Shadow Field ( You don't need it you have Fearsome Stare and Heart of Darkness), Soul Absorption for now, Fade for now, and Black Hole? You have plenty of room to weasel around.
I am going to retract my earlier statement about Heart of darkness, I forgot about HT being only mag 2.

From my actual playing the set and actually fighting several AV's (not solo mind you but I never expected to solo any av's before actually getting to 50 and having IO's at the very least) I can tell you I did perfectly fine without the ST Immob, Dark/Dark is a very debuff oriented set, I am not worried about my own attacks dealing damage, I am far more concerned with enabling all 4 for my pets to do that solo and the rest of the team in those situations and it works. Also, Shadow field is perfectly good power, its recharge is 4 minutes but with just two IO's that drops down to 2 minutes and with enough global recharge can be made PERMANENT. While you are right that Dark control does have quite abit of control behind it, my experience in game is showing me that having shadow field is tremendously helpful in a lot of situations, especially when used in conjunction with other powers like Tar patch to lock down groups.
  12. From the looks of it the only really skipable powers are the st immob, black hole and the stun in dark control since howling twilight is far more potent AND autohit. Its a really tight pair with very little wiggle room.
  13. Because it looks so awesome it simply can't activate faster!
Well... Thats probably not the reason but heres my guesses.

    1) Its balanced relative to the other powers in dark control, not mind control.
    2)An oversight. It happens.
    3) It is in fact because of the animation, I can live with a power like confuse taking a third of second longer to activate for the sake of having that power effect especially since it generates no aggro.

While we have you here, what's going with the changes to Fade and that other power in Dark Affinity I can't remember the name of. Will that be in the next patch?

    Haunt perma?

definitely can be made perma but it will be expensive to do it (i plan to..)
  16. Woo! yes this set is very much amazing, I got so into the set I couldnt stop playing untill about 4 hours ago to get to 38, let me be the first to tell you that the dark servant+umbra wolf+2x shades is awesome. Like playing a minimastermind. the wolf provides the damage while fluffy heals and neuters the mobs tohit, with the shades chasing down the stray minions I could likely get away with just sitting back and letting them have all the fun.
  17. this will be my first controller since my mind/storm , cant wait to get home!
  18. Hay can we get a answer on why converters didn't make this release, they seemed totally ready for prime time on beta.. I hope you guys didn't decided to make it a cash shop item after all..
  19. I feel like a popped balloon. What a jerk move devs.
  20. Well, thats a bummer, at least I don't need to rush home anymore.
  21. Servers have at least 3 more hours in the oven, either you got on by some freak accident or this is a troll thread.
  22. If I were to place a bet I would say that they are going to have them function like ato's where there will be normal Rare-io valued enhancement and the catalyst version
