Is tanker status protection going to remain rooted?

Are you eliminating the need for TP to let tankers move while not getting stunned into uselessness, or are you eliminiating the ability to TP while rooted?

What are Epic Archetypes? I just don't know. I keep hearing stuff like epic ats this and that but don't even know what they are.

Can you give us any more details about the Alliance system?

Also, when you mention 'powers with fear' does that include Rain of Fire, Ice Storm and Burn?

Are you looking at the powers that many people have as their 9th power that rezzes you after you are dead? Not a lot of people want a power that doesn't work until after you are dead. They for sure don't want it as their 9th power (for many, one of the best). Also, for those of us with DA, you need nearby mobs to rez, and because you have toggles down when you get up you are defenseless while amidst enemies.

I'd sure hope not... It would make those powers a bit too strong if they had the new fear effect to them, which is basically a hold...

Hmmm... Strong damage AOE that holds... Statesman?

If Bows aren't coming til after issue 3 does that mean issue 4 or sometime between the two? Any chance I can respec my powerset from Electric to Bows? Are the different powers for bows based on different trick arrows, or more on an archery skillset similar to the katana set? Can you tell I am still drooling over bows after six months of waiting?

Also, Any comments on plans for enhancements to supergroup functionality? Just adding the information that is on the friends list (location) and the team seek (levels) would let me clear up half my friends list and make the SG window one of my most used. Are we still looking at an SG Vault? Any other tidbits you want to share about SGs or HQs?

If you see a little white screaming face appear on the mob, then that mob has been hit by a Fear effect. If you don't, they haven't.

Well, we're not supposed to be giving ideas, but I think a suitable fix would be it dealing less damage the further it goes from the core of the blast. This would still ensure teh ubar damage, while making it not too ubar damage.

if your not looking into the flight set, can you at least ell us why you think group fly is fine as is? Also is there any possibility of more flying mobs around the citys skies?


Jay Doherty: Yes, there was this one night that I was ready to go home but had to drop the browns off at the super bowl before I left for home. While on the throne it hit me. I stayed for a few more hours and that why we have the pain pads in the game.

We've heard that Super Strength WILL NOT become available to scrappers at any point.

What about the possibility of Energy Melee or another powerset with the same type of feel for those who want to "punch the bejeezus outta stuff"?

Can you give us a hint has to how the difficulty slider works? Will it increase enemy levels or enemy numbers?

any chances of getting a look at the self rez powers? its been raised before that most players rate these at "extreemly situational" at best, "down right crappy" at worst and can easily be replaced by an awaken. We know the devs dont want any method of rezing to reduce debt so what would be the advantages to taking a rez power over keeping an awaken around?

Anyone looking at the tendency of Disorientated mobs to ocassionally skate off at very fast speeds and to still jump over things that are the max height they can jump?

I can understand the diminished returns on active/dynamic weather effects, but it'd be very keen to have subtle winter season art changes like clumps of snow and the addition of snowplows cruising the streets.

Statesman, in your opinion is there any reason to look into better defining the roles between scrappers and tankers?

Also could you be more specific about what you meant when you said that scrappers cannot reach the same levels of resistance as tankers? There seems to be some confusion about that statemtent in that it does seem possible for scrappers to hit the defense cap.

Easy specific question...

I sent you a PM about this awhile back Statesman....is Tornado being looked at? The AI stops attacking just outside of where it can actually hit things, it requires the mob to voluntarily step inside to the tornado after it finishes with its initial target.

10. The DVD special edition xtras will be available to current players - we haven't yet decided on how we're going to get it to them.

11. We aren't planning on adding more Pet Controls anytime soon, but they are definitely needed as we expand pets (remember what I said about adding a 10th power to every set....)

12. I'll note that people want the Friends list expanded.

13. I'll also note the auto decline for team invites.

14. Same with a better UI for buying several Enhancements.

15. Weather effects aren't scheduled any time soon.

16. Adding Tanker damage has become a little problematic. It makes the almost too powerful...but it's an ongoing issue internally. We are definitely adding more aggro control to the Tanker.

As a gravity controller, I'd kill for the amount of control that a Mind controller has.

Any chance of a glance at the Gravity powerset? Or explanation why it's nuke (propel) has significantly lower DPS then brawl and it's activation times are terrible acrosss the board?

Just out of curiosity, do you consider the panic effect from Rain of Fire or Freezing Rain to be "Fear" effects? Personally I think that causing enemies to run around randomly is not only a worthwhile crowd-control effect in certain situations, but the only really logical response to AoE damage over time powers like these. It makes sense for psychological fear powers such as Intimidation or the Dark Miasma power (forget the name) to cause enemies to cower in abject terror, but making enemies run out of the range of AoE damage makes more sense in other situations. Both have their uses, and I think that the intended fear effect shouldn't apply universally to every power that currently makes enemies run away.

Incidentally, can you say whether or not we will see enemies using fear-based powers on heroes? From the earlier descriptions it sounds like it would act as a hold-like power, but without the toggle-trops inherent in stun or sleep powers. Is this going to happen?
