I'm glad I signed back up in time for this round of invasions. I missed the Rularuu invasion because of hurricane ivan, I missed the first rikti invasion because I didn't have an active account.

I'm glad the devs continued this, I wish I had more time to play because I managed to get 1 badge (sentry) on 1 character this entire week. Only once was I in a zone when the walls went down, that was interesting. I'm looking forward to the next invasion. I might schedule my vacation around it

Oh, and I've been on the receiving end of the "You have talent. I hate you." line a few times. I've always taken it as a compliment in the highest degree

I'm not so sure about "talent" not playing a large part in it. I was heavy into 3D art and aquired a fair amount of fame on the next with my NX-01 model. I worked with that day in and day out for years, but I do have a small talent for 3d programs. Then, a new guy gets hired on at work. This guy can draw, better than anyone I've ever seen to this day. The thing is, he's always been able to draw. I've seen pictures of his childhood sketches. While I was making stick figures and triangle cars this guy was sketching portraits of anything that would sit still. Granted, he's a heck of alot better than he was then but still, the way he could capture angles, shading, and perspective was beyond anything I can do outside a 3d program. His 5 year old crayon drawings are better than stuff I've seen else where (I don't get to look around these forums much so please don't take offense.)

Yeah, hard work does pay off but natural talent figures in to be more than just a way to advance faster than the next guy.

I get really bothered by all the looping sounds and overpowered visual effects. I only have ss on one character and I get so irritated with the noise that I can't play him long. Not sure if the headache is from the noise or grinding my teeth in frustration so I'm very very happy to hear that ss will be fading.

Someone needs to tell Amazon.com that this book has been released and they need to send me my copy since I live in the south and it takes us 6 months to get the new flavor of coke, let alone a nifty book such as this.

So will villian fire powers (if there are any) make them worse in CoV?

I think I'm one of the few that see the reasoning behind dropping stealth from SS. The only reason your are stealthed is because you are so fast. The model doesn't go transparent, besides you've got that huge glowing area around your feet...not exactly stealthy. I imagine your effects are visible by the other team.

Thinking about that, a regen with invis would be a glowie green star the other side could target and tanker stone armor doesn't invis....

Actually there's a 3rd way. You'd build a base 'style' with a few seperate wire frames of 'locks' which can be animated. It's really a great way to make anime style hair but not as realistic as the seperate strand types. When there is moving hair in COH I bet it'll be this 3rd way or a combination of the second and third.

Not sure if it was posted before but how about chest emblems that aren't part of the standard costume set?
