Um, what mission takes me back to before my first marriage? -
Are you looking at the powers that many people have as their 9th power that rezzes you after you are dead? Not a lot of people want a power that doesn't work until after you are dead. They for sure don't want it as their 9th power (for many, one of the best). Also, for those of us with DA, you need nearby mobs to rez, and because you have toggles down when you get up you are defenseless while amidst enemies.

When I was a kid, there was no cable, no VCRs, no DVDs, no computers and the TV had three channels.
The Charlie Brown specials were HUGE! It was one of the best parts of Halloween. Every kid waited and waited and tuned in for it.
So when I saw "I got a rock", I knew exactly where it came from. Fun stuff! -

The problem is, seldom does one have a slew of electric blasters in a group.
This is closely analogous to the red bar/blue bar issue in SWG. Most of the group is shooting at a mob's red bar, and then maybe you have 1 guy shooting at the blue bar. The blue bar attacker isn't helping much on a big mob, because the big mob is going to die from damage to the red bar, not the blue bar.
This system did not work well there, and it is unlikely to work well here. Personally, my electric blaster is an alt, so I am not much affected. But if it was my main I would be wishing I was a red bar kind of guy.

It really helps when people make guides if you would title the thread "Guide to ____" That way, we can do a forum search of just this forum for the word "guide", and they all pop up.

Type of SG: Mature, casual players who are on mostly in the evenings and on weekends.
Number of members: 75 mains in FoP (all actual people, no alts); close to 75 more characters in FoP II (some mains, mostly alts); around 15 alts in FoP III
Note: the SG is waitlisted atm, and we have a sign up sheet on our website.
Colors are black and red with a rising phoenix as an emblem. (Well, I like to think it is a rising phoenix. It could be a duck for all I know). -
This is a great thead and I hope people contribute more to it. I am no good with numbers, or I would gladly pile on.

Try to be aware of the reader's 5 senses. When you character enters a room, what does he see? What does he hear? Is there an odor or aroma? How does he feel, or what do things he touches feel like? If he eats or drinks, how does it taste?
If you surround your plotline with these things, your reader will experience the story the same way your character does.

Origin: Magic Dark/Dark Scrapper
Inspiration: My two favorite classes to play from other games are martial artists, such as monks (EQ) or TKAs (SWG), and necromancers (EQ). After reading the class and power descriptions, it looked like I could have both here. A dark/dark scrapper fights like a martial artist, but has a lot of life tap abilities reminiscent of a necromancer. So "Moncro" is short for monk + necromancer.

I play on Champion. A few days ago I was in the red zone in Skyway soloing, and decided to take on a Boss mob that has psionic powers. The battle went badly, because at the time I had not yet aquired psionic defense. He killed me without my having done much damage.
Since I had run a little ways at the last minute, I thought I was far enough away to use an awaken. Nope. When I stood up, disoriented and stumbing around, he came after me again.
At this point, another player named O Ya, who was at least one and maybe 2 levels lower than me, came over and taunted the mob off of me, long enough for me to get away. This was at great risk to himself, since he was in no better position to kill it than I was, and basically took a beating long enough for me to stumble off. He gained nothing, because he had to flee as soon as I was safe.
When I sent him a tell thanking him for the rescue, he responded "that's what heros do." Class act.
As an epilogue, if you have an an opportunity to get psionic defense, grab it. I have, and have spanked that Boss mob since many times. -
Oh Fortuna.
