A word of caution this 2XP weekend
Get up and walk around once an hour.
Or, you know, take some Warfarin to keep those clots at bay.*
* Not real advice. Don't do that.

Also, Aspirin is much cheaper.
((Also not real advice.))
Alternately, playing while hanging upside down with gravity boots is a great way to get the circulation going. Just make sure to have a throw pillow directly below you in case the door-jamb-bar gives way and drops you on your head.*
* Still not real advice. But I want to see pics.

YOUR NOT MY REAL DAD!
*Coughs* Seriously though, don't over do it people.
"I have something to say! It's better to burn out then to fade away!"
Or over-Dew it.
You know who you are.

You know in hospitals they have machines that can stimulate blood flow in your legs that they use on patients who are going to be lying down for a while, you could get one of those .
((also not real advice, it's better to walk around a bit))
Once every two levels, take a victory lap around the block. Or living room, whatever your running capacity happens to be.
But not during DFB. Otherwise you could collapse from exhaustion instead.

To ensure blood is properly circulating, sit upside down in your chair (so your feet are up, and your head down), and then spin the chair rapidly, around many times. This will ensure all the fluids are properly drained from your feet, and pooling in your brain-meats.
((or maybe listen to advice from someone that has a clue what they're talking about, instead of me ))

I missed the last double XP weekend because I found a GREAT book and sadly, that will happen this weekend. The Libriomancer by Jim C. Hines! I wilst be reading and watching the forums, if nothing else.
Seriously, XP in this game is easy to get and while these double XP weekends are rare, take it with moderation. This community, as the author of this thread stated, is amazing and not beyond helping you level alts, etc. at some future date.
I play no more than an hour at a time then move onto something else; a walk here, a bag of carrots there, and a book read at a coffee shop just to get out and about. Not saying it's bad to play just that your health and time with loved ones is far more important.
Play Responsibly.
Oh, and I'm not kidding. Check out the Libriomancer. Any fan of Read or Die or even Thursday Next will love it.
Of course, a little job security never hurt anyone :P
Thanks for the suggestion, Lady G, i'll look it up

i'm going to mostly be working and looking at houses this weekend, so my playtime will be limited anyway. Pity, since a weekend inside would almost be nice after the sunburn i received today.

Cut off legs. Problem solved.
I will be camping
but I don't like double xp anyway. The faster I get to high levels the sooner I delete the character and start over.
Goodbye may seem forever
Farewell is like the end
But in my heart's the memory
And there you'll always be

I recommend hiring a sassy robot to play the game in your place.

While playing CoH, everything above the waist is totally committed to the game. Below the waist....I am the LORD OF THE DANCE!
I'll be fine.

As a paramedic, I feel I would be remiss if I didn't speak up here a bit. While I'm certainly guilty of way-to-long playing sessions, it can be extremely dangerous sitting in front of your computer that long.
I was called to a home a few months ago for a patient who had been playing an online game (one of the Korean or Japanese ones I don't know anything about). The call kicked out as chest pain/difficulty breathing. According to his parents he had been in his room for several days only coming out for meals. He was overweight, but not obese as is often the case with 30 somethings that lock themselves in their rooms for weeks at a time playing games. I asked him what was going on, his breathing was shallow and he was wincing a lot, saying it hurt to breathe and he was dizzy and sweating profusely. His feet and ankles were extremely swollen and painful to the touch.
Long story short, He had been sitting for three days, eating crap food and not sleeping more than an hour or two before getting back on the computer. Due to the lack of movement and long periods of sitting he developed edema in his feet and legs (retaining of fluids) and subsequently formed a blood clot in his calf which traveled to his lung and got stuck. Last I had heard he went home, fairly intact.
HE GOT LUCKY.
It's just a game folks, please take care of yourselves first. XP will always be there. I know it's tough, really I do. I've played COH long enough and seen enough 2XP weekends to know firsthand.
Eat decent food, hydrate ( no mountain dew is not a good choice for hydration :P)
Get up and move regularly
SLEEP! The damage you can do to yourself by skipping sleep in scary, seriously I know. In my line of work I'm constantly sleep deprived, it @#@$$ you up!
I love this community, would hate to see any one of hurt due to not knowing when to say ENOUGH.
Play safe, see you out there!
